  1. So the same "auto-AWD" system as 2015, except there physically a disconnect to mainly improve fuel economy? I think the disconnect is great, but mixed review on how well the "auto" AWD was working though.
  2. Can anyone confirm this "AWD disconnect" yet? How it works, but more importantly is it automatic or a manual button in the cabin? One more quick question: the auto-stop/start thing is standard now (... great). Can this be shut off one-time or do you have to do it EVERY TIME you start the car? The fuel economy ratings of the '19 Edge will be interesting.
  3. Agreed. I understand less combinations = more efficiency for Ford = lower cost to consumer, but for a higher priced option that is a bit niche, they should not be trying to force adoption on it. I also understand that stats may show that most buyers of the premium model trims will accept more premium options/packages, but those stats don't capture how many people purchased it begrudgingly or how many people they down-sold to the lower model/trim... or most importantly, how many to another brand. My favourite is being required to buy the massive 301A technology package in the Titanium in order to have the option to add body covered ground effects. The only relation is that they're screwing you because they can. Not me bub.
  4. I ordered almost 2 months ago on priority 10... please tell me there some action now? CA1059 8112 Thanks
  5. I was trying so hard not to ask "I already am priority 10, but can anything else be done?" I assume many more factors go into production planning than order date and if you know someone? I.e. part availability, scheduling certain models first that all share a same option, etc, etc? FYI, Ford Canada (Ford.ca) still only has the '16 Edge listed on their site.
  6. Hi, any update on this? CA1059 8112 Thanks!!
  7. How is this determined? Who is in the front of the line and what can be done to be bumped up?
  8. If Ford is persistent in keeping the '16 up, then why don't they have both the '16 & '17 up like the Explorer?
  9. In fairness it was a bit enlightening to me (I dont have a long histroy following Ford... I had a Camaro ). My dealer had me braced for Dec at the earliest. Knowing some Edge's could hit the street in mid Nov is positive news for me. I assume Ford doesn't have the 2017 build & price up yet because they still have inventory (on lots) they want everyone to try and focus on. However since you can't custom order a 16 anymore and you can order a 17 (they're in production) personally I think the 17's should be up on the web now.
  10. Wait until 2018 when the Edge gets a minor facelift and everyone complains
  11. I'm pretty sure I heard a radio commercial today promoting this heater wiper feature for the Escape. Add this to the "I don't get it list" along with Sync Connect (remote start) Edit: I heard the radio commercial again. It was about the Focus having heated everything (except wipers). Either way, I'm still going to pout about my de-featured Edge
  12. They removed the heated wipers?! That's lame, it's what pushed me over the edge (no pun intended) to buy the Cold Weather Package. 1st question, why? 2nd question, so is Ford or my dealer going to refund me the premium they charged me for this feature/package I ordered in September?
  13. The 2017 is available to order now. I had 2 dealers in Ontario, Canada confirm this and I just met with one in person. He had a binder with pricing that he showed me briefly. I do have a pic of the work sheet we filled in, but it doesn't proved much (you could put anything on this generic sheet) and I want to respect some confidentiality of the dealer and myself. A few things I can confirm: 1. Pricing of the 2017 Titanium has gone up $100 cdn (I didn't inquire about other trims) 2. The price of the new/improved Cold Weather Package is now $300 (I believe it was $215 in 2016) 3. Delivery timing is 10-12 weeks right now (if I ordered a 2016 a month ago is was ~8wks) Unimpressive is that the financing options currently available on the 2016 (that you can still see on ford.ca) are not the same on the 2017. The only rate they offered me at any term was ~4.7% (I don't remember the exact number because I was so annoyed). This wasn't a "special rate for you today" either, the dealer rep showed me his financing chart. I'll be researching other financing, dealers and potentially even other new/used vehicles now
