  1. Anyone know how the Union Pacific moves the Bronco Sports from Mexico into the central US? Where is the destination INDUSTRY?
  2. Any likelihood that any of the updates that are popping up in photos of the China version of the next Explorer will end up here in the US? Some pretty neat stuff inside and out!
  3. Could I please get a status on the following: 3FMCR9B6XNRD67824 Thank you!!
  4. Anyone have a more-accurate-than-not explanation why Ford has passed over the '22 Explorer for Sync 4? Is it really that complicated for a top-volume vehicle in a competitive segment? I remember how slow they were to get steering wheel audio controls to all the models....
  5. Took delivery of a new 2019 Explorer Sport last month to replace the 2016 Limited I had since 2015. A few improvements, but with that a few nagging small details: - Assembly had installed a solid black plastic door sill on the driver side instead of the correct illuminated door sill as is on the passenger side Dealer is slow on the warranty claim and getting the part, but s/b an easy fix. - The rear foot-activated lift gate will not open using your foot. Wife’s 2017 Escape Titanium has similar issue. Figure there is a bad sensor in there somewhere. - There is no glove box light installed. The parts site confirms it should be there, but can’t be certain that that’s all it is missing (the switch and bulb housing that snaps into the side) as it would still need a live wiring harness. If anyone has a 19 Sport and knows your vehicle has a light when you open the glove box, please reply. It’s a small thing, but more the principle on an expensive vehicle. Vehicle drives as beautiful as it’s predecessor and no rattles or squeaks yet. I’ve driven a few as rentals and this seems to hold true despite being driven hard. Any feedback from others with liftgate issues/fixes and the presence of a glove box light in a 19 appreciated.
  6. Could I please get an update on this one? Thank you for your time! 1FM5K8GT9KGB53545
  7. Judging a book only by it’s cover here.... I really do not like the front end of the new Escape— even less so than the 2020 Explorer, which I did not think possible. Never been a fan of massive grilles that swallow up the front end. Glad we have two 2017’s.
  8. Please when you have a minute provide tracking detail for 1FM5K8GT9KGB53545 Thank you!
  9. Yep. Don't know how the dealer didn't know that.... '18 Titanium likely to be more $$ as it looks like they added all the parking assist to the std equipment....trying to avoid some of the cost and take advantage of huge rebates...
  10. Got a call from dealer this morning that order for '17 was rejected. Argh. I read somewhere they are producing '17 until late August, but maybe not enough time to get it scheduled before '18 production starts. ?

  12. Does anyone know the current program number for the incentive protection program? Going to have to order a '17 Escape, and would like to lock retail cash, even though it may go up by the time I get it. Thank you.
  13. Despite the recent weather in Chicago, hoping one more update will do it for me... 1FM5K8F87GGB62538 . Please and thank you!

  15. Westin and a few others have aftermarkets; see the link here for some options: http://www.carid.com/2016-ford-explorer-running-boards/ Post a photo when you get them installed....curious to see what they would look like.

  17. Thank you for that. I just got the VIN today...dlr ETA week is 12/07, so fingers crossed for no transport issues...
  18. What do they mean? My DORA has a 10. Any significance or does it depend on how many vehicles the dealer ordered under the same order number? Thanks.
  19. Yeah that drives me nuts that once the vehicle is built and it sits waiting for transport. Since you have a VIN, try the link on this forum to see if they can track it for you and give you any info. I've tried the cotus.ford.com link and have been reading where it doesn't work. At this point, I'm still waiting on a VIN...hoping next week sometime.
  20. I looked at this feature as well when I ordered last month. I decided against it, but would think if you do a bunch of driving or longer periods in the car, it could be helpful. Here's a link to the principle of it: http://www.ford.com/cars/taurus/gallery/videos-and-demos/Videos/available-multicontour-front-seats-with-active-motionsupsup/ngbs_taurus_2014_fmft008000_multicontourseats/
  21. Thanks for the info. So it's a deal-by-deal lock in if I understand correctly, and if the dealer didn't lock in at the same time they ordered the unit, you're probably SOL. You'd think the dealer would do that automatically on all orders, even if just in the interest of customer satisfaction. I'll ask 'em, but will be surprised if they did.
  22. Scanning this topic as I just ordered a 16 Explorer late last month. I found and tried the cotus.ford.com and gather from the posts, that I got the results I could expect: no info. If I ran a store, I'd have my fleet/inventory guy or gal send email updates to customers who have orders. Make a big deal on the order status to let customer's know it was getting closer. I'd think it's at least a 10 to 1 ratio of in-stock to order units, so not a crazy amount of customer orders to follow imo. That said, the Ford dealers here in the Denver Region are pretty weak. High turn rates in finance, sales management and sales floor; corporate ownership. Service departments have never been good outside of a good advisor here and there who move on quickly. They all make a mess of the interior on pretty pricey units. Fortunately for Ford, I don't make my product decision on their service depts as there are other options for that.
  23. I'd remembered that from the last time I ordered. Dealers here seem to have ordered all the Limiteds with sunroofs....must have been the push for the Region or something.... I'm going to guess that probably won't happen with the x-plan.
  24. Thanks for the replies. It's been awhile since I had ordered from Ford. I've got X-plan pricing, so the current pricing offer won't do anything for me. I have EAA X-Plan bionus cash and figured it will help keep the doc fees in line under the x plan as well. Not expecting the vehicle until sometime in December- so maybe there's a small chance they'd 'enhance' the retail cash by then. That or I could play the FMCC finance/payoff game as I planned to pay cash.
