Ok I know I'm gonna get crucified for this but here goes........I know every state is different on unemployment, but in Ky its $552 a week...not sure what the SUB will be this time because that $552 is a new max for us it used to be $415......But whatever it is add $600 to $552......and then SUB on top of it? No way that happens, that's quite a bit more than 40 hours....why anyone would think we should actually get more than 40 hours pay for not even working is just crazy.Crawling back in my hole now while the onslaught begins ?
  2. The actual language from page 58C says "lump sum incentive payments of $60,000 for "eligible" non-skilled & select eligible skilled trade employees........the definition of "eligible" is where things get muddy
  3. So....I keep hearing this story that GM wants workers to pay 15% of their health care, of course who knows whats really true, but if it is.....no way it passes Ford or anyone else

I don't think you have anything to worry about as far as the plant closing, I'm not even really sure c crew is going away, but that's probably the worst that would happen at this point. however as the others have said we have been hearing c crew is going away from the time c crew started. This is just the first time the building chairman has actually said he thinks it was going to happen.
  7. Oh I don't think the plant is closing at all, but I wouldn't be surprised if we lose c crew......And no I don't believe for a minute that the BC doesn't know what's going on. As far as anything being announced tomorrow, its just a rumor at this point. A strong one, but still just just a rumor. Have to wait & see.
  8. Well who really knows, but union reps AND building chairman even though they say they don't know specifics are all saying it looks like C crew is gone. Guess we'll see tomorrow.....maybe....who knows
  9. 25% ????????? Are we talking about the same thing? Profit sharing is a bonus, mine has always been taxed around 40% since what ever Clinton did in the 90s to bonuses
  10. LAP been on 1 week for the last several years, don't remember the last time we had 2 weeks. I like it better, I can take my other week when I want instead of the hottest part of the year
  11. If its proven, there should be jail time. This is much bigger than a bonus or just this election, union has gotten by for way too long just doing whatever they want with no accountibility. Those days are over with social media, Im not a big social media guy, dont have a facebook account as much of it is rumors , gossip etc, but truth can also be exposed that people didnt know about before. Several said this isnt the first time buckets for votes have come out to the line, IF and I am saying if, this is true, then there need to be consequences. If you cant agee on that, whatever else we disagree on, then I dont believe you are union.
  12. Your true colors are showing when all you can say to something that serious is move on. If it had been voted down with the same type of allegations I would be concerned. Seems as long as you get your way, the means do not matter.
  13. No idea if these allegations are true or not, Facebook is just like here, you can say anything you want but.... If they are true & can be proven....its far from over & whether you are for or against this contract shouldn't matter, thus is not the kind of representation we want.
  14. I stand corrected, 2 plants build cars 1 builds big trucks, I stand by the rest.
  15. Only 1 plant in Mexico builds cars, they can't possibly be retooled fast enough to build everything, & in the mean time Ford loses market share, it took over a year to retool lap from a mid size suv to a small one
  16. Young child? Lol, probably older than you, 26 years with Ford. Believe what you want, you will anyway. Joe Heinrichs said on national tv that if it fails we go back to the table & work it out. Not getting into a pointless back & forth with you, just giving info, if you dont want to believe it, thats your business.

Know how many vehicles for Ford Mexico has produced in the last 45 years? 2.4 million, Mexico doesnt have the productivity to take our hot sellers over & it would take them too long to achieve it, in the mean time Ford would lose market share, dont see them risking that. Mexico is a scare tactic & nothing more.
  18. I'm already at full pay 26 years & counting but thanks for your concern. Again I'm not naive enough to think it will happen but they can do better, making path to Full pay by end of this contract & 4 3-4% raises would pass without the insulting borrow from our own profit sharing, even a little raise per month for the retirees... None of this would put a dent in the BILLIONS they are raking in. And as for the hostess video someone put up as a scare tactic, no comparison to our situation, hostess was in very bad shape, we are not

I'm not naive enough to believe it would happen, but actually they did promise that exactly, when they told us our concessions were temporary & once the company returned to profitability they would be reinstated. They LIED, plain & simple & if you really think they aren't lying now about promising full pay in 8 years, then bless your heart. They might, but if they decide not to for whatever reason, they won't. And they were profitable way before this year, yes I enjoy all the benefits we have & will enjoy the ones this contract offers & retains if it passes, but I don't enjoy being lied to & then being told I'm greedy for being upset about it.
  20. Not doubting what you are saying , but we havent seen anything in writing yet, where are we getting the they have the authority to re-open the healthcare after 2 years? Is that in the Chrysler & GM & I missed it?

  22. Hi pmooret, I work at the same plant you do. Im not disputing what you said, just a little confused, I also went online to a Ford UAW site that had a retirment calculator, didnt see LIB on there but my monthly benefit said it said would be $3100, why is yours only $1674?
  23. Yes I would like to know also. Still think it's a horrible contract. Even "if" & that's a huge if, they follow through on the next contract, they will then be making what we were making 20 Years ago. That's a giant step backwards. 8 years from now will be 20 years since our last raise
