  1. My car doesn't show a recall with the various means necessary to determine. I've sent messages asking if this is accurate and not heard anything back yet.
  2. Yep, I sure am. I knew there was another site out there I had gone through the trouble of registering for. It shows no recalls for my VIN.
  3. I ran a vehicle report and checked it for any recall notices and didn't see anything. I also sent an email to my dealership asking them about the posted recall from yesterday. I haven't heard anything yet.
  4. We do, though not everywhere. I've also noticed a big drop in MPG that is likely due to the heat. Most of the areas I drive have a speed limit of 65, so I don't feel bad about setting the cruise control for 62. However, if it jumps to 70, which is fairly common, then I do go above the 62 mph break point. We'll see how the heat plays out with the overall mileage I can get.
  5. Long trip and those were my necessary stops for food / caffeine and basic stretching of legs. Since I was already generally stopping at a convenience store, I just filled up at the same time. It gave me more time outside the car and not driving.
  6. Sounds awesome. I managed an 18 mile run a week ago at 71 mpg all non-highway.
  7. Exactly my point. I don't always agree with akirby, but he and others gave good statements to the original post that bemoaned the fact that this hybrid doesn't get what is stated as the EPA estimates. He even went so far as to explain "why" in that the hybrid batteries are different than all the others and thus are more touchy than all the others to *how* a person drives. Again, you choose to do what you want with the information, but in the end, your posts here have come across as moaning. If Ford followed the EPA guidelines for doing the tests and I rather doubt they didn't considering the ramifications of being caught *not* following them, then the numbers are accurate under those perfect conditions. As others have said, my previous gas mileage was around 20, so what I'm getting now is a huge step up and I'm completely happy with the numbers I'm seeing.
  8. He moans about the MPG, but states he going to get one. I guess some people just need something to complain about.
  9. I've got a panaromic sunroof. What do others have? I'm sitting at 39 mpg lifetime with 41 on current tank of gas. I've managed as high as low 70s on a 12 mile run, all city. I know that the sunroof option can make a difference in gas mileage so was wondering what everyone had?
  10. I'm currently at just shy of 39 lifetime from about 250 miles. Current tank is sitting around 41 MPG at 1500 miles.
  11. Yep, I definitely would have hit had it not been for the collision warning.
  12. Haven't heard of anything. I found it odd as well.
  13. I turned mine up to high sensitivity and got the alert yesterday. It went off due to my speed, the car turning and me not applying brakes while approaching. No collision, but car was just keeping me informed. Of course later in the day when I was in nasty traffic, I turned my head to merge into another lane and at that moment the car in front of me came to an abrupt stop. The system went off and I had my foot on the brake and was braking before I had even turned my head back. I'd have certainly run into him.
