  1. Pretty sure I do, weren't you in SoCal originally??? Still got the GN? My buddy is just getting his back on the road, should be in the 660 RWHP range now. His best time is a 10.52 Last time I saw it on the dyno it was about 560 HP. 2 HP less than a built Z06 Vette!
  2. just decided to chime in here again. I am driving a gelded pony for now. . . . . I had to put it completely back to stock to get it registered. is was not driven for about 2.5 years due to not passing California smog. After I re-install the supercharger I will need to get a SCT programmer and start over tuning. This way there will no longer be a chip in the test port (which the Caifornia test stations can now detect) It blows clean but will fail the ECM function test. The tuner should fix that. Right now I am just enjoying driving it again. I fixed all the other little things that used to bug me so once I get it back to FULL POWER it will be great! Still looks the same too. . . . . . .Love this thing!!!
  3. WoW! I decided to take a look and this place is still kicking around. I am shocked! I still have the '99, just had to replace the CATS and now off to the inspection station to get the registration completed. 13 years old with 54K on the clock. I can't really see myself ever selling the Cobra now! It seems to be a perminent fixture in my garage! Still brings a smile to my face everytime I start it up!
  4. Thank you very much for the offer. I am still looking in to my options at this point.
  5. From what I am getting by reading the 1999 is compatible with 99-04 but we all know how that can go.
  6. I was wondering if any of you guys, especially California guys happened to still have your "Factory Stock" Catted H pipe. I never got mine from the shop back in 2000 when I changed mine and now find that I need it. I know there has to be one out there somewhere. I already searched craigslist here in California. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  7. Still here and still checking it on ocassion. I wish this place and the traffic it did back when we all had "99's an 01's. Still have my '99, it now has 45K on it and I don't know how because it seems like I never drive it. Still running as strong as ever too.
  8. Hey Oli, I know it has been a while, did you ever sell the Cobra and if so, What did you get for it, A friend of mine is thinking of sell and was wondering what they are worth these days. Thanks! Hisss 99 :shades:
  9. Ok this is getting funny. I have narrowed it down to a temperature thing. The car will not start in the morning when it is cold but will start in the afternoon or evening. The earliest I have been able get it to start is about eleven in the morning. I even left a 60 watt light on in the car overnight to see if that would help........nothing! I guess I will have to wait until it warms up around here to drive the car. Does any one think that the transponder would cause this temp quirk? Where is the transponder located? I am assuming in the streering column. Will the computer log the vent and tell what the failure was (ie. PATS activiation....). Thanks once agin for the help! Hisss 99 :shades:
  10. The car has done it again. The funny thing is it appears not to start when it is cold out. I tried to drive the car to work on Friday but it wouldn't start. When I got home from work I went out to humor myself and it started. Tried to start it this morning (Saturday) and it would not start. Haven't tried since this morning. Thanks Bad Pony, I will definately look into that. I will get a transponder and get it installed. My wife works at an SVT dealer so I can get it and have it installed for half price. Hisss 99 B)
  11. Well I think I may have solved the problem. 3 days and counting without issue. I had decided to remove the chip from the brain to see if there was an issue there. When I pulled the brain out I noticed that the ground from the brain harness to the body was broken. I extended the wire because is was to short to just put a connector on. I soldiered and heat shrink wrapped the extention and soldiered the eyelet connector on as well (might as well make it a perminent fix). The car started right up and has not given me any trouble since. My fingers are crossed. :happy feet: Hisss 99 :shades:
  12. Either a leakdown or a simple compression test would at the least confirm the loss of the cylinder if the compression is down a squirt of oil down the cylinder and compression re-test will confirm a ring vs a valve or "holed" piston. Is the coolant ok? Is it possible that the head gasket is blown? At 85K one would think that the cylinder should be ok unless the car was abused but you state that that isn't the case. Good Luck! 13. I hope that this is not the case but luckly my wife works at an SVT dealer. I will ask the SVT rep if that can happen. Thanks for the suggestion Hisss 99 :shades:
  14. I have been experiencing a new problem lately. My Cobra will go into theft mode and not start. I have fuel pressure and the starter will crank so I am guessing that the ignition system is deactivated. One time I disconnected the battery for 24 hours and that reset it but this time it will not reset. I have tried both keys. I have armed and disarmed the alarm system many times hoping that this would help .........but nothing. Could this be a problem caused by my chip? Is it possible that the I.D. chip in the keys have failed somehow? Let's see if we can revive this place with a technical question. Any suggestions? Thanks! Hisss 99 :shades:
  15. What do you think our cars are worth these days. I have to ask....What are you getting? SO what have you been doing with yourself these days? Good Luck Oli. Hisss 99 :shades:
