  1. Duhh..I was the first in this forum to question Fords methods and madness for obtaining 47 mpg combined. And it's still very much unobtainable except by people wasting gas going uphill in one direction and driving downhill in another to get 50-60mpg...which sadly, means nothing in everyday, NORMAL, driving. Everyone here's in denial but this is a Ford fanbase..so it makes sense..but keeping it real...it's no surprise 6 months later people are still questioning the fusion/c-max EPA numbers. im still getting my hybrid titanium..but i've come to live with the fact whatever i get with it is better than a non-hybrid counterpart so that alone makes me happy. Furthermore, the more MPG i can get on my daily commute, the more surprising i'll be..but if i was someone interested in the new fusion hybrid i would not buy it based on the EPA estimates as Ford would advertise you do, because this car has some shifty engineering and quality issues known all to well to members of this forum, some of which may keep you from achieving those numbers on your own as a lifetime goal.
  2. Horrible launch with only visible quality. Get beneath the sheet metal and the leather and the car runs on aston's looks and good marketing. Nonetheless Fusion titanium hybrid should be scheduled any day now..
  3. Yup! I think the new Face of Ford looks great and they should definitely boost sales in all of their vehicles with the current refreshes they've made. I think the Fusion is their Ace card though.
  4. Scavenged from the bowels of the Underworld, It's very good and explores the new Fusion hybrid in great depth! One of the things I loved in the review was how they explained the new Fusion hybrids MPG woes. I think a lot of people don't trust Consumer Reports and argue that their claims of the new fusion hybrid MPG not meeting EPA estimates is bologna. But Car and Driver's reasons match what the rest of the nation is saying and with good reason and justification as well. The new Fusion suffers greatly from unrealistic EPA estimates that nowhere match what this vehicle can regularly do and it's really tragic. People defend Ford in this Forum as much as blind unbelievers think global warming is all a lie and conspiracy but the truth speaks for itself in everyone that HAS driven this car. You can either take their word for it or you can continue blaming America for its poor driving habits. Grab some popcorn and enjoy this gem!
  5. And that has to be the most popular and most overly stated excuse in this forum for hybrid buyers not getting close to advertised mpg. It's amazing how easy and effortless it is for human beings to blame each other when things don't go right instead of admitting fault themselves or accepting that they bought a product that doesn't perform as advertised. None of you even have the slightest clue how anyone else drives and yet you're so quick to act like you know without a doubt their driving habits and styles are soooo bad. I mean seriously. If I said I had a 2013 fusion hybrid and had bad MPG I'd have 3-4 people near cursing me out on this forum and another 5-7 swearing I've never driven a hybrid before and don't know how to drive one lol. It's funny really. Here's my opinion since we've all heard everyone elses. The new car gets nowhere near 47mpg combined and if I had to put a statistic on the number of ford fusion hybrid buyers that have reached this is probably less than 5% based on nationwide reviews and consumer reports. If we were going by posts in this forum then 1%. I'm getting a hybrid titanium and I know I won't get 47mpg combined. It will be a treat when I do, but I don't expect my lifetime mpg to ever reach that and I'm fine with that. I'm fine getting anything this car will give me because its still better than the competition..but when I do get my car and I ask if anyone else is getting poor mpg too don't tell me it's because I don't know how to drive. Some of you are so rude to people. And to anyone on the fence about getting the hybrid because of poor MPG.. you do have an alternative..a perfect one actually. Buy the gas model and continue contributing to global warming. In 5-10 years temperatures will be so warm you'll be crazy not to get a hybrid.
  6. I'm sure the engine didn't go into the cabin as I'm sure that rarely happens in any car these days. Video leaves much for interpretation and humor however. I highly doubt a car would get an "acceptable" rating if the end result of a head on collision was being compacted by the engine ahead.
  7. The wait for some of us is almost over! It's exciting..but Christmas is right around the corner and I thought I'd spread Christmas cheer. Afterall some of the people over at the FordFusionClub are doing ANYTHING to scare new people out of their Fusions. ..I'm glad no one here is this barbaric. Nope, we've all waited patiently and kindly and sympathetically for the one car we know will rule them all. So enjoy the holidays for the new year will be here before you know it and with it a sweep of new Fusions for us all!
  8. The new MKZ.. A car so beautiful and elegant in picture yet so bloated and elephant in person. Would be a great car if photoshop could render its wonders on the real thing as well.
  9. Hey bubble butt, actually since we're all hypothetically speaking here I thought I'd add my own assumptions to the mix. Technically the 8-12 weeks from ordering to delivery involved placing your order, getting it accepted by ford, waiting in queue, getting a build date once your turn nears, having a vin, having the car built and getting the car shipped to you. The average time between getting the car sent to you from its build date is only about 2-3 weeks. Now anyone who is getting a hybrid titanium most likely ordered it already...and its been accepted by ford....and its waiting in queue.... that means all we are waiting for is a build date...and if production starts on january 7th..and we are all first in line chances are our build date will be around that time...which means...2-3 weeks after that just may well still be the last week of January the earliest dealers and some custom buyers may get their fusion hybrid titaniums. Essentially most of the 8-12 week period is already negated for us since the car hasn't been in production yet AND we are at the front of the list ordering once they were first announced for ordering. So I'm going to hope for getting mine by Australia Day (January 26th) because I'm an ambitious being...maybe if I'm lucky I'll be able to pick it up on Mawlid Un Nabi.
  10. Wow...I wonder where the engine went..looks like it went completely into the cabin pulverizing all occupants and victims into an instant death. On the bright side though, if anyone survived getting the engine placed on their laps they only need to replace the front half of the car. That should save a couple thou. Acceptable indeed.
  11. I'm assuming you all ordered in early November as well? I placed my HyTi order on November 5th.
  12. Yeah i made a post about this last week and yeah most likely they will be audited...what the results of the test will be is the mystery now.
  13. I agree...I wasn't too thrilled with this new guy either or the story, but it was fun nonetheless. Nothing beats Ezio's story line through...from when he was young, to middle aged, to retired..all three were the best in the series.
  14. Trueeeee...none of that is legal in california...then again unlike other states I guess that don't have to worry, they do about what strangers with that much ammunition can do. Nothing like walking into a movie theater with a trunk full of explosives and ammunition and then killing 15 people, including a newborn baby, minutes after the start of "The Dark Knight Rises" ... or attending a Gay Pride event in San Francisco and leaving one dead and two wounded. Seems like people reallyyyyy are standing up for their rights to bear arms in that state.
  15. I agree with that other dude...California blows in so many ways that if it were it's own country, with all entertainment hotspots aside, it would not only be a very costly country to live in, but one so heavily swayed by special interests groups and slowly taxing just about everything they can slowly think of that you would wonder what exactly the place offered for you besides a nice coast line. Anyhooooo.... Owning a Fusion Hybrid in california does rock...seeing as it boosts the warranty from 8 years/100,000 miles to 10 years/150,000 miles...good place to buy your fusion!
