  1. Do you know how insanely unreasonable you sound??? Anyway, it's best just to sit back and watch the tide turn....and how there will be unanimous praise when Ford does introduce a smaller pickup/smaller F-150 here. The days of 20mpg (at best) F-150s is soon coming to an end. Ecoboost isn't the savior of the world it was supposed to be and something is going to have to give. And that thing is weight.
  2. He said the V8 Caprice was around 26K.....same price For a Taurus SHO PI. I think the Explorer was around 23K as well...but I'd have to check with him. And I think his 23K for the Taurus PI was with AWD, but I can't remember 100%.
  3. A very good friend of mine (we go way back) is the fleet manager for the police department he works for. That info is straight from him. I realize that's probably not good enough for the trolls around here (hey, if they can make baseless claims, so can I!). Wow...you two are really that immature aren't you? Who would have thought a person would respond to a positive post pointing out the hypocraisy on this board in such a childish way. Had the fleet article been about GM this thread would have been filled with all of the self proclaimed experts in the automotive field claiming that GM is just the same company and it never learns from it's mistakes yadda yadda yadda. Gotta love double standards. Keep up with the name calling though...it's funny.
  4. LOL... There was nothing negative in my post. And? The Taurus isn't an old, out of date dinosaur.
  5. Forbes is completely wrong. Fleet sales are only good for FMC. Terrible for every other automaker, but A-OK for Ford. And fleet sales are only going to go up with the Taurus PI and Explorer PI. And I haven't a clue how Ford is going to make a dollar selling the Taurus for $23K to police departments. As for the recall paragraph...that was pointless. Sure a massive amount of Fords were recalled in 2011, but what were the model years. Frankly if Ford recalls a million F-150s from 2000 and some other auto maker recalls 250K 2011 model;s, I view the 2011 models as a more accurate indicator of recent quality than the 2000 models.
  6. Have your eyes checked...it's quite obvious which is which.
  7. So is Motor Trend on the good list or the bad list now? It changes so often.
  8. I wonder if Isuzu used "Moving Forward" as their slogan at some point?
  9. You should try using a bit of both at some point. Another factor that is being overlooked(not shocking at all) is that three years ago, the fuel economy of small trucks was about the same as a full size. Simply put, there was no incentive to buy a small truck in terms of fuel economy.
