  1. Yes, it sounds like you were a member before the rightwing lunatics took control of this country. Maybe we should work together to get rid of these modern fascists and put in office those who care about the worker. Until then, all we will have is people believing the UAW can deliver more than they actually can. If we don't win at the ballot box, it doesn't matter what we do at the bargaining table. We have seen what the rightwing Republicans want to do to the American worker. Unfortunately, many retirees and active UAW workers vote Republican and screw us all. Then, they turn around and complain about the UAW.
  2. LOL, from the Tea Party president here in Michigan. You also want us to be right to work for less. What a fricking loser.
  3. Agreed. Too bad many of our union brothers who have been protected by THE UAW complain and cry all the time how they should get more, more and more. Hey wakeup people!!! The only difference between you and flipping burgers is the UAW.
  4. Yep, this has been a trend by conservatives and businesses everywhere. They still get their $$$, but the workers get screwed. Add onto that how many want Michigan and Ohio to be "RIght to Work for Less" states and watch our wages and benefits drop like a rock.
  5. Local 245 President, Keith Brown, has just posted the results of the vote. http://uawlocal245president.wordpress.com/2011/10/17/local-245-ratification-results/ We are pleased to announce that the Local and National agreements have been ratified by the Local 245 Membership. 6. Yes great news!!! Thank you Dearborn and Kansas City and every other UAW plant that voted in support. This is for the membership and for jobs in America!!!
  7. This is great news!!! Thank you UAW members in Kansas City. The media is really hard on us in Detroit but this makes them realize we are a unified force looking out for the best interests of all our membership.
  8. Hey Chucky, since you have been fired by Ford and don't have a job, do you think you would be one of the replacement workers? Is that why you want us to go on strike so much or have Ford lock us out. People, Chucky is on this site with numerous names always telling you to vote no and go on strike. The guy doesn't work at Ford. He was fired for misconduct. He is trying to take all of you down with him.
  9. From the Detroit Free Press: "But if workers reject the deal, Ford is likely to reconsider job promises in Flat Rock, Wayne, Louisville, Ky., and elsewhere, according to a person familiar with the situation. Ford could add capacity at its assembly plant in Hermosillo, Mexico, to build more Fusions and could add capacity at its plant in Cuautitlan, Mexico, to produce some of the compact vehicles it plans to build in Wayne, the person said." Full link is here-- http://www.freep.com/article/20111015/BUSINESS01/110150353/Early-Ford-voters-favor-UAW-deal-by-slim-margin Ford has no plans of coddling us and giving the crybaby no voters whatever they want. They will ship this work back out, probably lock us out or force us out on strike. If you want to keep your job, VOTE YES.
  10. There is an article in the Detroit Free Press that says if we reject the deal, Ford will not bring in the work, period.
  11. That is better than having no vacation when we are on strike. Or potentially no job with paid vacation after a strike or lockout.
  12. We will definitely need this help once the no voters put us on strike.
  13. The no voters have no clue what they are doing to us. They think the company can't live without us. Boy, are they wrong. Ask the 40000 Machinists union members that Alan Mulally fired.
  14. Yep, everyone who supports the contract and doesn't want to go on strike is on the IUAW. SO that means there are thousands on the IUAW staff. LOL! What a jerk!
  15. Full agreement. There are a bunch of idiots who think they are going "to win" a strike or lockout. Delusional. They must be out of meds.
