  1. Did you get your Escape yet? I am still waiting for my Escape to be shipped since its built and sitting in the rail yard since August 17th. It had an ETA of Aug 30th...then every week changed to Sept 4th....changed to Sept 13th....then changed today to October 9-13th! Ford Customer Service rep verified vehicle is not on hold and simply awaiting to be shipped. Dealer claims they must wait and will call me once it arrives! I know about the rail strike, but I'm wondering there is something else going on! Totally frustrated!

  3. Wow...I thank both you and j2sys for your excellent, accurate information. I just talked to my dealer and they confirmed the tires are deflated and reinflated with nitrogen only after delivery to the dealer. As mentioned : The plant does not put nitrogen in the tires! I requested they don't do it. Thanks a bunch for the valuable info!!
  4. I was advised by my Ford Sales guy that my 2022 Ford Escape (Still at plant since Aug 17) will have nitrogen filled tires (Green Valve Stems). I'm welcomed to visit the dealer service for any refills at no cost whenever I need. Of course, that means driving 10 miles to stand in line to simply add air ! I'm told it's slightly better for your tires, but such a hassle to find anyone that has it...and also heard they charge to do it. I'm wondering if I should simply just add air from the convenience of my garage...since all tires lose air (nitrogen included)..especially with winter approaching!

  6. I just noticed the Escape Units are showing ON LOT/ON HOLD! The window stickers are Green..with many noting 'Special Order' on the sticker. All released to 'convoy' with various dates...most dated July thru mid August !
  7. I noticed the 'Worlds Best Selling Ford Dealer' (Bill Brown Ford/Livonia) has '48'' news 2022 Ford Escapes as New Car Inventory...however, every Escape vehicle has 'ON HOLD' printed on it. The dealer is closed, but does anyone know what it means? No Chips....? Bill Brown has also posted a notice about vehicle purchases: 'WHILE WE APPRECIATE YOUR INTEREST, BILL BROWN FORD IS NOT ACCEPTING ANY OUT -OF-STATE RETAIL PURCHASES AT THIS TIME!' Wow, I never thought I'd see a dealer turning away potential buyers!
  8. So, did you receive your Escape yet? I'm still waiting for my Escape delivery which is stating a September 4th date....but still not shipped as of today! It's been sitting in the yard since August 10th!
  9. I also have a 2022 Escape SEL that has been built and released to Rail (Window Sticker) on Aug 10th but still not shipped. Ford Customer service claims a delivery date from Aug 29th thru September 4th! My dealer is 600 miles away located at Dahl /LM in Onalaska Wisconsin. Not sure if it will go convoy or rail!
  10. Thanks for responding. I discovered the replacement cost is about $6200!! However, after talking to my Ford dealer I am told it's $8000....not $6200!!
  11. I have a 2017 Cmax Hybrid and was wondering if anyone has replaced their hybrid battery and/or know of what it would cost? I also wonder if it's possible to operate a hybrid after the battery dies?
  12. Update...I'm still receiving those blaring updates despite choosing 'yes!' I've tried using all 3 responses (no, yes, remind me later)....and the updates continue. I guess I'll live with it and try to turn the volume down to avoid that sudden blaring update that comes everytime! I appreciate your response. I'll call the dealer when I can for their input.   14. Almost every week after starting my Cmax , my radio starts blasting on a local fm station, along with a printed screen notice asking if I want to update my system (Yes/No/ or Remind me later). It's so annoying and despite choosing 'No' it repeats the same notice every week or less! (BTW: my daughter's 2019 Edge does the same thing). How do I stop this intrusion?

  16. Thanks bbf2530 for your response. I don't want to damage the components but was wondering if there are any alternatives to this carbon issue on Direct Injection engines? At least , your timing was perfect, since we get our oil change on Thursday.
  17. My daughter's 2019 Edge has a 2.0 Eco boost engine. The dealer recommended we have the Direct Injection Cleaning done with her oil change. ($100) I heard from others it could affect the turbo during the cleaning. Any suggestions. Thanks!
  18. As always, thanks for the information. I think the batteries at the Ford dealer are around $139 or so. I'll wait till the next oil change and get a battery!
  19. Thanks! I should be more specific, since the Cmax has 2 separate batteries...I meant the 'engine start up battery.'
  20. Anyone know when I should consider replacing my small battery on my 2017 Cmax Hybrid (Less than 22,000 miles)? It runs fine but would enjoy comments....pricing!

  22. It looks like there is no current Maverick production. Anyone know when they will start up the production again? Ordered the 2022 vehicle in November. Dealer has no information.
