  1. For the most part I agree with your comments. But... there is way, way, more to a real UNION member than just the economic gains that have been negotiated for them. Sometimes a SILVER SPOON is great if presented to you, but it is our job as UNION members to make sure that SILVER SPOON does not get TARNISED. And the SILVER SPOONS are tarnised at DTP. THe way mangement treats their employees is a DISGRACE.. And the way the UNION representation, in the plant, is a DISGRACE as well. That is ASHAME. MAngement doing our work and nothing is done about it - very very very WRONG. Manegement threatning their employees - the UNION does not address it - "It's ok, that is how she talks to everybody", "You dont want to mess with her" What kinda a statement is that coming out of a UNION reps mouth. The word RECALL is sounding pretty good to me... Just a few of my thoughts. I would love to get some feedback.
  2. I would really like to believe you General, I really do... but an AMERICAN Blue Collar worker just can't TRUST coprorate America. After all the Mustang is the last Iconic Muscle Car built here in the USA! I am surprised Corporate America has let stay here in the USA for as long as it has...

  4. They won't post because those 130 temps is alot cheaper to have on the floor then 130 full time employees. I have a few friends that are Temps in the system. But the UAW needs to fix the Temp system... There should not be one Temp at any plant, if there is a full time employee on lay-off. That is just the right thing to do. Best of LUCK to you all.
  5. Well Frank quit living in a Fantasy... Run the business, yes..Run the plant, i disagree. When there is Solidarity on the shop floor (WHICH THERE IS NONE AT DTP, NOT AMONG THE MEMBERSHIP AND ESPECIALLY NOT WITH THE UNION REPS IN THAT PLANT), the Company is forced to run the plant per the CBA, which is negotiated by your ELECTED Bargaining Committee and then ratified by the MEMBERSHIP! When that is the case... THE UNION IS MAKING THE company RUN THE PLANT THEIR WAY... Its not rocket science to figure that one out... JUST SAYIN'

  8. You said, UAW/Company paid off the Detroit EEOC office... thats FUNNY!!! Please don't say the UAW and the Company are that close... that almost sounds like they are "sleeping together"
