  1. My thought was take the Ranger, give it a freshen up styling outside and in, then put an Eco-Boost motor in it... Increased mileage = better sales for small trucks IMHO, if the F150 ecoboost gets as good if not better it takes away one fairly large benifit of having a smaller truck... Besides, Ranger with EcoBoost 2.0l in a short box regular cab with a 6 speed and real posi rear end would be a freakin HOOT to drive!
  2. I ordered and received this past spring a 2011 FLEX Titanium EcoBoost. pearly white with the black roof! and had the stock wheels powdercoated a metallic black that is a perfect match to the tuxedo black roof! it turned out fabulous, I have about 9000 miles on it, and am very happy. Have one little what sounds like an exhaust rattle, at medium accelleration. still working with the best dealer in the world to get it resolved, it is not a big issue, more of an annoyance...
  3. Hey CyberDman, I FINALLY got it done and got some pictures of my FLEX with the stock 20" Wheels powdercoated metalic black to match the roof... I said I'd post pics when I got it done so here ya go!
  4. That figures, thanks, I thought it might explain why i had such an idea...
  5. Not that it really matters, but I figure CyberDman might like to know where I came up with the hair brained idea that i might find pictures of my car while it WAS in process... I saw thisMy link http://fordflexforum.com/index.php?/topic/1798-ordered-a-flex-ltd-ecoboost/ on the blueovalforums. flex page... Just FYI...
  6. Got a call at 10:37 Monday May 9th from my dealer as the truck pulled into their lot with my car on board!!! Had to swing by and oogle it, drool on it, snap a couple pics... even though it'll be a few days before I pick it up... thanks cyberDman! for your updates, and extra time! I hope to get the wheels powdercoated tuxedo black to match the roof, after I get my extra set of stock 18"wheels for next winter, then I can take these off and get em blacked out! should be RAD! I'll try to post a pic for you when the wheels are done.
  7. If I coule please have one last update monday morning, hopefully my next post will be posting pics of my new ride! VIN=2FMHK6DT1BBD32143
  8. Cyberdman, Thanks for all your help and time, I received a call from my dealer, car was passing thru Illinois on Wednesday the 4th so it sounds like next week. I appreciate your patients with my 'other' questions, and hope I didn't try your patients too much.. I'll probably do one last check monday as my dealer said delivery early next week. Then a few accessories, so I hope to have it by the end of next week... <fingers crossed> Thanks again!
  9. :hide: the lack of ETA threw me, plus I did not want to ass-u-me, even though I am pretty good at making an ass of my self all the time the manufacturer that I deal with every day has engine assembly in one state and bike assembly in another and stuff gets shipped between them regularly. Now I can get excited!!! :banvictory:
  10. I don't want to assume.... does this mean it is finished, or on it's way to another plant or upfitter?
