  1. Same thing happened here. Found just the one I wanted, sitting on a dealer's lot but, "Hey, you know these things are hot! Our price is full sticker and NO X-PLAN...but we won't add any dealer markup." That was their attitude, even when I said I'd order and wait. It took me exactly seven minutes to drive down the road and find the next dealer more than happy to help me. Don't forget to check for other incentives and rebates you may be entitled to, in addition to X-Plan: $1,000 cash, $1,500 Explorer/Mountaineer loyalty bonus, $750 X-plan bonus OR test drive/brochure bonus (one or other, those are not "stackable" as others are). Hey, when an Ex sticker price can top $50k these days, every bit helps!
  2. I'm not familiar with the other site. URL? Can non-employees log in? What info does it provide? What do you need to access and get info there?
  3. How are you monitoring the progress of the build and shipping?
  4. M-E, I guess I'd agree the Active Park Assist is not a safety feature (unless you're in or own one of the parked cars my daughter is trying to squeeze inbetween) but the Collision Warning feature that flashes a heads-up warning on the windshield and sounds an alarm to alert you to a suddenly slowed/stopped vehicle ahead, disengages the speed control AND charges the brakes in advance for you, THAT is safety I'd like to have on my XLT.
  5. Unless I'm mis-reading the Ford website, can anybody explain why, unless you get the Limited with a sticker price over 41k, it is not possible to get the Adaptive Cruise Control and Collission Warning with Brake Support, or the Active Park Assist? The excellent Blind Spot Infomation System IS available on XLT but with a new 16-year-old driver in the house, I'd like to have ALL the new safety features without breaking the bank and paying for things like a power liftgate, rain sensing wipers, and perforated front seats. Can anybody guess (apart from the obvious of pushing buyers to the top-of-the-line) why Ford wouldn't want to make it's best safety gear available (at extra cost) more widely across the lineup?

  7. Ordered my XLT with 202A with X-Plan partner program February 9. Build date is next Monday, March 7. My dealer gave me the VIN a week ago but I still cannot seem to pull up a window sticker on either of the sites where they usually appear. If anyone can help me with that, my VIN = 1FMHK7D81BGA37599.
  8. Noticed your post about getting a new Explorer. Mine is being built Monday, March 7. I'm wondering when it might hit my dealer up here in Jacksonville, FL. How long did it take yours to arrive?

  9. Thanks so much for your informative posts, M-E, but you lost me on this one. Could you please de-code?
  10. First, thanks to blwnsmoke for the legwork here AND to whatever dealer had the patience and knowledge to sort this out for us all. While I see you can't combine the various $750 and $500 offers, it seems that one could exceed the $1,000 cash + a single $750 bonus (total $1,750) and max out at $2,750 if one also qualifies for the $1,000 Explorer Owner Loyalty Bonus, right?
