  2. i remember all those Bill Franco posts. :shades: in the end i got rid of my vibe by just turning the driveshaft a quarter turn at a time, and test driving, until it was gone. took only a a couple turns. still gone to this day. wheelhop, well...thats a different story. until i get rid of my stock springs and suspension (still waiting for them to wear), i deal with it...eagerly awaiting the day i can put the new half-shafts and cv joints to the test.
  3. wow, i'm starting to have flashbacks seeing some of these usernames. i still have my '99 as well. only 12K miles - hahaha, but just put on my 3rd set of rear tires and completed my 15th oil change, if thats any consolation. she is running great and i always get compliments. just stopped by to search some old posts. :D
  4. :happy feet: My quest for GKN Stage III Half-Shafts began over 2 years ago, during all the group purchase fiascos, Raxle vs. GKN discussions, considerations of going to straight-axle, etc. Well, with the help of this board I located and purchased the shafts, and with more help from my SVT club I got a great referral to an install shop, and finally here we are....half-shafts installed and ready to rock! IT has ben such a long-time coming I am SOOOO happy. :) Now I can begin thinking about future upgrades, and increasing traction to eliminate wheel hop without worrying about busting my rear-end. It felt SOOOOOOO good to finally update my signature.

  6. My brace was the PHP BRace, so I can't speak to that...but I can tell you the bushings I installed were te Cobra Differential Bushings (555-4015).
  7. Thanks a bunch guys!! I will definitely look into MM. Did they have to be adjusted to fit on the Cobra with IRS? I heard some full-lenths had to be adjusted or cut.... :shrug:
  8. So, I am looking for full-length sub-frame connectors to weld-on to my snake. Any reccommendations or experiences worth sharing? I've got to order these...and then get them installed with the GKN Stage III half-shafts that have been sitting in my garage for almost a year! Someone please advise...as I've heards most normal mustang sub-frames have to be cut and/or re-sized?!?
  9. I am happy with the IRS brace and bushing as well. However, witht he 4.30 gears, the wheelhop came back with a vengence! Overall though, I think the IRS brace is helping...since before the gears it allowed me to launch about 2200 rpm higher without hop. Therefore, if I didn't have it installed...it would probably even worse now, with the gears.
