  1. Simple economics. Cost to ship parts to & from those stand alone plants is one of the main reasons they closed.
  2. Actually that is not the letter our grievance is based on. It is in Volume IV page 438 Equality of Sacrifice
  3. I personally hate it because it eats up more of my time during the week to do other things and if you get stuck on C crew you lose your weekend. I am really tired when I leave work now and don't feel like doing anything hardly now. On C crew, your weekend is moved to the middle of the week but if you do activites with friends like boating, mortorcycle rides, sporting events, you can't go because you have to work. Only option is to show up late or leave early. If you have a long drive to work, it makes for an even longer day. Thanks for your input. This is exactly what I'm afraid will happen to me. Bye-bye weekends!
  4. Same here, rumors of trying to change us to 3 crews instead of 3 shifts. Don't think I would like to work C-crew(Fri,Sat,Sun,Mon) One less day a week sounds good but getting screwed out of OT and Family time not so hot!
  5. It's in the Nov 3, 2007 contract(not mods) page 76 # 16"Profits" excluding FMCC. Sucks because they have done well the last couple years also!
  6. Just curious as to which plants are currently running 3 crews instead of 3 shifts. Any problems with running 3 crews that you have come across would be appreciated.
  7. Actually it's calculated on 80% of your base hourly rate(not take home pay & no shift premium) Use that # times the # of compensated hours to get your short work week pay. :shades:
  8. Let us know what they had to say if anything? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/39201947
  9. Signed up at an ATT Store as a new customer April 1st and got the Ford Discount, had to fill out form and copy ID Badge.
  10. So you have been talking with Mulally, and know Ford's plan huh? Stop scaring your coworkers, nobody knows what's going to happen including Ford. Too many factors come in to play before you close a plant, not just one shift!!
  11. Even if new Explorer sales started in January(calling it a 2012 model), you have forgotten that the old explorer is still being produced until late November and could be labeled a 2011. Then you don't have the skip in years.
  12. Just curious did you hear if those #'s are from your plant or company wide?
  13. Technically they can't force you to go anywhere. According to the March'09 MODS if you are on indefinite layoff you do have a choice to make. Accept the job offer and move, don't volunteer and be placed on inactive status, or bump least senior employee within zone. If your working you either volunteer for the job or you don't. Good Luck
