  1. Thanks, guys. I ordered the Lightning Blue sight unseen and I'm pleased.
  2. Well, that's encouraging. I kept reading all this 25 MPG stuff from a Sport--wasn't one even AWD? Anyway, I didn't expect much more from it in short trips. I did get 26 MPG on a trip of 360 once this summer, but it was all flat (did I mention I live in mountainous WV?), which makes a difference.
  3. I'm obviously doing something wrong or not driving enough highway miles. My 2010 Fusion Sport AWD is averaging barely 16 MPG overall (10% highway and 90% rural driving). I now have 3168 miles on the car.
  4. Have patience, my friend. It's worth the wait and more. I've owned a lot of performance cars--everything from several V8 Mustangs to the bitchin 1990 Probe GT Turbo to nine SHO's, and I'll say this. I've never been more pleased with an automobile this soon into ownership. The car is quiet, runs like a demon possessed, has all of the creature comforts you'll ever need, and just feels like a quality piece. It will be worth the wait (and I waited two months).
  5. Myproblem is I have to say "phone" a couple of times before it catches on-- and no problem with the contacts in my Blackberry. This really confuses me. So I find myself shouting "phone" to the top of my voice. Sometimes it does this and sometimes notg. Go figure.
  6. I downoladed the upgrade and was up and running in about 25 minutes. Tried the driving instructions first and it flawlessly took me to work. It also routed me on another errand. This will be a great addition to Fords with Sync. I then tried the Vehicle Health Report and it sent me a webpage address to view it. Simply great. It has made my 2010 Fusion Sport all the more enjoyable.
  7. How do you get the upgrade? I have a 2010 Fusion Sport and I need to know this. I understood it was on the car already, but it is not.
  8. Looks just like mine! I echo your comments with the exception of the navigation and other electronic goodies--didn't want or need them. I just wanted a hot rod and I got one. The SelectShift is much more responsive than the shiftable automatic in my old Acura TSX.
  9. Interesting. Makes me glad I chose not to get the backup camera and all the other stuff that goes with it. I didn't really need all that stuff--kind of makes the driver not so important when the car does it all for you. Kind of funny to finally get a car with a shiftable automatic and then put equipment on it to make you less of a driver and more of a slave to technology. Sorry, it's my pet peeve. The one thing that really gripes me is that this is the first Ford I've owned in the longest time without the keypad on the door. Same with automatic headlights. It's really sad to pay upwards of $30K for a car and have to spend another $3,000 to get features that they offer on $22K cars as standard equipment. Another pet peeve. Regardless, it's a wonderful car. Twice the car my Acura TSX was (in quality too), twice the runner my 98 Taurus SHO was, and the quality of interior and exterior components are far superior to my wife's Camry. Ford has a winner here.
  10. Got my Fusion Sport Saturday and have already put 600+ miles on it. I've averaged just over 23 mpg in all kinds of driving. I am thrilled especially with the power and handling that this car has. I'm very pleased. Mine is silver, and after owning a Blazing Copper Metalic Edge for the last two years, the color seems a little bland at first, but the whole driving experience makes that one criticism go away. I do wish the Sport had been offered in more than black, red, silver, sport blue, and black, though, but that's the way it goes. NOtweorthy is that the housing around the top brake llight is body colored, unlike some other Sports I've seen, and the leather interior is far superior to anything I've had -- even my Acura I had from 2004-2008. Sync is amazing in what it can do and the AWD should be the equal in grip to the Edge's. The Select Shift automatic is far more responsive to gear changes than what has been printed. In fact, it's much better than the Honda system in my TSX. I even think the quality of interior materials is better. Now, if they had just not put the Goodyear RSA's on the thing it might be perfect!
  11. My Fusion Sport arrived last Friday and I am to pick it up on the 11th. It's killing me, but I believe in wringing every last day out of a lease. I can't wait!
  12. Great looking car. I almost wish I could change my color from silver to sport blue, but the die is cast. I like the keypad--though I've used it on my Edge maybe 10 times in two years. It's a lifesaver when you have an arm full and the keys are in the pocket where the armfull is. I didn't want all the intrusive electronics (lane change warning, etc), so opted out of the 402 pkg. I wanted navigation and the keypad, but the way Ford set it up, you got all that stuff for $4K, and I thought that was a little much to pay for a lot of stuff I didn't want. I found it a shame that you also had to get the big package to get automatic climate control and automatic lights, something I've had on all the gazillion Fords I've owned since the dark ages. $30K for a car without those options is ridiculous, but so be it.
  13. How's the power, svt? I'm looking forward to seeing how the transmission works with the big V6 engine. I'm also wondering about the Sony stereo. How's it sound? My car should be here shortly and I should take delivery on the 1st of May if all goes well.
  14. OOps. I ordered mine on February 12th.
  15. Fusion Sport with Moon and Tune, AWD in silver.
  16. I talked to my sales person last week and will again on Friday. My car should be in in mid-April.
  17. I ordered my 2010 Fusion Sport yesterday--Silver with charcoal interior and Moon and Tune package. My lease on my 07 Edge runs out on May 1st, so I'm a little nervous about this because I do not want to extend. Of course the dealer knows nothing yet, but it worried me some when they told me that they didn't know how long it would take and they were concerned. Hopefully they'll notify Ford of the lease expiration and push it through. I was surprised how pricey this car was. My Edge was $6-700 less two years ago! If it looks like it's going to be a long term thing (I've had bad experiences before--waited 5 months for the new issue Mustang II and nearly 8 months for a 77 T-Bird plus 3 months for a 97 SHO), I may cancel and get something else, as much as I don't want to do that.
