  1. Unless it's for Lincoln only. If all their competition has it...
  2. I contributed to the F-Series sales with a new '23 F-150 STX.
  3. I traded by '21 Bronco Sport for a '23 F-150 STX with the 5.0 on Monday. ?
  4. Two year's late, but I guess better late than never.
  5. So the Ranger was the best selling vehicle in Australia in 2023.
  6. That would be the Corolla. And I am not including the Corolla Cross, but just the normal sedan, hatch, and wagon.
  7. You would have to figure a new Transit is around the corner as Ford will also be building it in Turkey for VW as the Crafter.
  8. It looks like the F-Line is replacing the older Cargo. RIP to the Cargo nameplate...
  9. I believe the Tacoma and Hilux are set to (re?)merge. I think that part of the plan for the new Champ was to take the place of the lower cost Hiluxes since a Tacoma-based Hilux will naturally be larger and more costly than the past Hilux.
  10. Surprised sales in November were as good as that given the strike. I would have thought a good 10% down. Maybe next month...
  11. A new Mexican Plant to produce the Puma, Transit Courier, and a subcompact truck would be a winner.
  12. Custom was used on Ford's full size car line in the US for decades...now used on a mid-size utility van. Corsair was used on an Edsel and a Ford of Europe...now its used on a Lincoln crossover. Maverick was used on a compact car and various crossovers/SUVs...now its used on a compact truck. Explorer was a truck level for F-Series and Bronco...now its own vehicle. Ranger was used as a trim level...now its own vehicle. Territory was used on a RWD mid-size crossover...now its used on a compact crossover. Galaxie was used on full-size cars...now Galaxy is used on a mid-size MPV. Fusion started as a compact MPV...now its on a mid-size sedan Eos started as a sub-compact car concept...now its used on a mid-size lifted hatch. Edge started as a trim level for the Ranger...now its used for a mid-size crossover. Transit was used on a bus model...now as a utility van. Let's look back in time... Crown Victoria started as a trim level for a glass-roofed Fairlane, then as a luxury version for the LTD, then purely as its own model. Town Car started as a body style name from the Continental, then as its own model, then on as a fleet model for the MkT. And I know there must be more. Don't even get me started on GM or Stellantis... Just a couple of examples: Envoy started as a Canadian brand...then to a GMC model. Avenger nameplate started life as a Hillman...then a Dodge...now a Jeep. Considering the Capri name has not been used in Europe since 1986...4 years before I was born...I highly doubt 75% of Europeans know or remember there was Capri.
  13. Most of the hydro stations along the Savannah River system between SC and Georgia are pump storage as well.
  14. With Ranger and Everest sales so good, is there any capacity left in Thailand?
  15. If they can sell the Explorer and Expedition in the Philippines than the BS and Maverick I think could be sent on the same ship. Any import issues from Mexico?
  16. Nuclear stations can not be turned into de facto bombs by terrorists, etc. Movies may try to portray that, but not really. Most of the station built at least during the Cold War were made to withstand most conventional weapons as well to prevent radiation leakage. The biggest issue you would have is through detonating a nuclear bomb on a plant, for the bomb for extend the fallout area from the radiation of the plant. But, if you are talking about a nuclear war at that point...nobody is winning anyway. As long as you put station is stable areas with the right safeguards, they are about as good as it gets.
  17. Correct, while Australia is large, its population is mostly on the narrow strip on the east coast. US is much more spread out, outside of Alaska and some parts of the plains/Rockys. Not to mention the population difference of roughly 27 million compared to 335 million. It will be easy and more financially feasible than oil to use renewable in Hawaii, PR, Guam, Marinas, etc, but the mainland US is a tougher nut to crack. Solar is easy in the southwest, but impossible in the northwest and Alaska. Wind is a hard sell due to the visual nuisance and migratory bird concerns. Hydro-electric creates other social benefits such as greater access to recreation, but is environmental invasive. Nuclear is the best bet nation wide for electric by in-large.
  18. The front doors/mirrors appear to be the same. I would expect the same level of differentiation as the Mondeo and Evos in China.
