Wow for sure.... The complaining last year wasn't about new entry level employees..... It was about the sell out on wages and benefits for these new employees/ union members..... Now the complaining is about the 228 union leadership doing just whatever they want..... This time jobs for their hand picked people.... It would seem that selling us out, one way or the other, never gets old with this slate that's taken control of our local union..... Oh, and just so you know.... The entry level union workers at Sterling and Rawsonville will never transition to our wages.... That's what the complaining was about..... I'm not a hater.... Not afraid to tell the truth either.... Solidarity

Let me put it to you this way then.... We have a stewardship.... a responsibility to the brothers and sisters who will follow behind us..... Our CEO.... who was hired on the heels of breaking the aircraft mechanics union...... Went to Washington and testified, he was good where he was at, in regards to taking a pay cut to $1 a year..... because he wasn't willing to give up a thing.... Is the message we want to send, we're good where we're at, we make enough money and don't need or deserve a raise from now on.... Listen, we're working in our shops to make money... We gave up on average 15,000 per year in wages and benefits and Ford has done nothing but make billions and billions in profit ever since..... And we get nothing.... Even less with the cap on profit sharing and the loss of legal services in 2013...... We can do better than that for the future of our brothers and sisters who will follow behind us..... No one likes a strike..... But guess what..... That's what happens sometimes when your struggling for good faith bargaining.... which we haven't gotten as far as I can see..... I know there are thousands of people out there who think they would like to have our jobs.... The question is ... are they willing to try and cross our line and get their skull cracked in the mean time trying to take our jobs from us..... Good for them.... We'll be ready.... They don't call them SCABS for nothing.... Solidarity

I think you're overthinkging this.... American Axle isn't UAW Ford.... And the public doesn't go to work every day in our shops.... Now without going into every detail of what is good or bad with this tenitive agreement..... Let me please pose one simple question.... Who out there knows anyone.... anyone who's been at any job..... I don't care if it's Mc'Donalds..... that has been employed at their job for 12 years and hasn't recieved a raise?????? ...... Does anyone know some one like that????..... How about 8 years???? ...... Does anyone know anybody .... other than us of course..... that has been at their job 8 tears with no raise...... I think our tenitive agreement falls way short of what would be reasonable given our sacrifices and accomplishments toward productivity and quality.... Am I ready to strike over it.... You're darn right I am.... Solidarity

No one is being forced to do anything .... The letter states that job openings at other facilities will now be offered to Sterling and Rawsonville production employees.... Yeah, they're trying to clear us out ..... No worrries until the next contract.... Then we will see what happens.... Solidarity

Rizzo.... Getting fined up at Black lake is no big deal.... The money comes out of your own pocket and goes into the fund for the scholarship essay program that our children benefit from.... There's nothing wrong with coming back from Black lake with a story or two to tell... Solidarity

Stu.... In defense of the trip ONLY.... It's normal operating procedure to take all the newly elected or reelected up to black lake so they can get to know eachother and perhaps form a bond.... However in this case that's kind of a joke seeing as how most in office now are related.... Thought more highly of some of them???? .... Angry mob brewing ???? ..... You ain't seen nothing yet.... 400 now 228.... Just for the record, our president did originally come out in favor of the last mod.... Our president did NOT take a fifty percent pay cut to save our local money.... Dave Dooley was the one who brought us back to Ford.... Of this there is no question..... My facts are right.... I'm not bashing anyone.... Just the facts..... It's my understanding our president doesn't have any credible competition.... Jeff will be reelected.... Solidarity

Williams and Byrdak will win the plant committee spots.... The other two guys running aren't even worth considering.... Solidarity

Eye.... I've said in the past that there have been times where Saez has disappointed me.... That being said.... Saez and Williams are the only ones on the committee who I've seen time after time kicking some supervisors ass on one of our behalf.... Time after time to this day..... I would support either one of these guys over anyone else right now, for whatever position they ran for.... Lupo is a good guy.... Personally I like him.... but at the union meetings listening to him talk and my own conversations with him.... show a clear lack of contractual knowledge and ability to make an arguement..... Bottom line.... the last thing we need is another person on the district committee who doesn't know how to make an arguement let alone write a grievance that will win.... Saez or Williams may not make everyone happy all the time but at least they know how to write a grievance and will show up to fight... That much, much more than I can say for the rest of the district committee..... they all should be replaced..... Solidarity

Judging from your post, Jeff must be the only UAW president you ever met.... It's always around election time that people want to say bad things about Frank Saez... He's been elected and reelected.... Whoever wants to run against him will have an up hill battle.... You're right about Lupo.... After several runs he finally got elected.... But still hasn't had the chance to represent anyone ever.... Brogan isn't worth considering for any elected position.... He can't keep his job.... Solidarity

Eagle.... Anyone with eyes sees that the eye was claiming that no investment dollars were put into Sterling with the COA's.... Once again you call names and shoot off a response without taking the time to read what you're responding to.... You're raz never gets old with me.... I'll never let you and your band of suck asses give anyone the perception that our president has been doing a good job, when he hasn't for the last three years... It's very obivious that Jeff is worried with the signs going up around the plant. After all, he already has the problem of Cal and Neil spliting away from your slate and the retiree votes that go along with those guys.... Your group is falling apart.... Don't worry about Jeff though.... your dues that you paid Jeff are nonrefundable.... Your name calling and misdirections are weak.... You guys could never argue that you're doing the right thing by our membership.... because you're not.... You're serving yourselves....
