  1. Hey nameless- faceless how do you make sure that your rant is pro active?? If your angry that is fantastic... you should be, other than that hitting a key board late at night ... what have you done to done to organize, support, impact, mobilize your union to make it better, ask thy self..... what not can my union do for me... but what can I do for my union.... your a pussy.
  2. Where are the leaders at? I'm told Sterling has some good future guys, but that's always the case and such is life. When are guys that can lead a local coming forth? I hear often it's on hold . It will work when doing the right thing is felt by majority, this includes starting with the the leadership and trickling down into the the membership, for make no mistake this is where the leadership comes from.. the membership. One day we will take our union back at Sterling Axle, and we will do it from the factory floor where real union reps. come from and never forget.
  3. As well asl local union 228 over the decades to present times, I must offer up a real view that the membership appears to agree with. Why is UAW Ford not the pattern? Why are the weaker uaw reprensented peers the pattern? I know the answer will be, and is obvios to me that gonverment bail outs and loans have set a gold standard for autoworkes to take consessions. However I would be remissed not to mention the banks and larger power structure in our country that will not concede.
  4. Maybe AL can pick up the grandmaster on the way , seems he's never done shit for the union either !!! Al had my vote until he was endorsed by GRANDMASTER DOUCHEBAG
  5. Experience starts with what? You hitting a key board? Any experience here is only in confidence right? Well in confidence I can tell you Lupo has involved himself and shown to be on the right side of the issues more than once. Donates his time and interests vital to union funtions. Wants a better union seemigly to me. Experience is....... you may have sat in the chair......... but what the fuck did you do when you were there?
  6. Read what I wrote before you reply next time and any other time for that matter. The foolish debate hinges on whether the bargaining unit are EXECUTIVE board members. You foolishly think or lack there of assume board members and officers are one in the same. They indeed are not. Read not what you wanna hear but the intent and the interpetation of what executive board means. I can't reply anymore. The more you talk on this website the more stupid everyone is for having read it.
  7. I'm in agreement that serving on the executive board does NOT make you a board member. I as a panel can have GUESTS serve any time I deem needed. There has been a courtesy given within our structure to the bargaining unit for decades to act as HONARY members of the board. Influential as it may be, this is how it has worked and intergrated itself within our own self politics. It technically is a delagation and a temporary appointment to the board meetings as advoctaes held by stern language and only then interpetation. My opinion is that only ELECTED OFFICERS have to resign prior to running for another ELECTED OFFICER postion. Right or wrong that is the current language. Change it if you don't like it. Perhaps it should be changed. I can think of other people I'd like to see resign instead of Neil Wallyn.
  8. Harsh days have arrived when your legal right to strike as a union has been compromised. ( The word compromised is generous.) Negotiations above the memberships head have been taken and apparently set in stone until 2014 for Chrysler LLC. What does this mean? I sure as hell don't know. Time will surely tell, that's a fact. We, this union, this great nation, has lost itself. The hard working people that insist that they have pride in what we do for our family's, has been squandered amongst those that have no idea in what it takes to be an autoworker, a long shoreman, a truck driver, a teacher, a policeman and certainly not a politician and so on... Unions were formed and honestly said, built this country in some our darkest days. Learn your history quickly, its here to repeat itself, and I hope like hell it does. We have become pussies, followers, trusting and ignorant to the change in this world. I use the word "we" with no reservations. I fell in love with the UAW a long time ago. The grit, the toughness, the intelligence to collectively to bargain with those that oppose what we stand for. The community effort that we humbly provide continuously to those less fortunate and look for nothing in return other than the chance to join and support what we represent and then only ask that you PAY IT FORWARD. We ARE good people!! I read this candyass bullshit on these forums at times. The petty indifferences between fellow autoworks?? It makes a man wonder what the fuck has happened? We are we going? People would rather talk about who is fucking who, who said what, what happend on American Idol last night? So very very weak. It is all so very simple in the fact that you find ways to come together if your truley interested in getting your needs met. Tough times have called for tough people before and autoworkes have lead the way more than once. Lets not stop now. That concludes my incoherent ramble............ but I got it off my chest.
  9. That seaz letter that someone wrote today at sterling plant was awesome. Why is this man a UAW representative????? My grandfather (the account im using because Im at his house) worked here for 39 years and says the union has lost its teeth..... my grandfather has lost his too (Just kiddin) . frank came up to me a while ago and yelled at my on the line, in front of everyone, and also spit on my face because he was yelling in it and dint even know it, in my face I told the boss i needed to go home i was so embarrsed. no one desreves that That is not right, he is a lunatic he is not there when u call. He is a PHONY. LIAR. Why did frank want his job????????????????????????????????????? Gossips worse than a jealous women with everything to lose. Is frank Saez what we should expect from our union??? OMG I hope not. At leats someone is saying something about him. Our reps are supposed to be there for us. uaw we need you now more than ever this guy is not it.
  10. Painful day for the UAW members... Painful day for many Americans for that matter. Lets pray 2011 is a much more robust economy. We lost a whole lotta cool rules in this agreement. The UAW will be back, make no mistake...... people will and had better learn from this.
  11. Your correct, you never said a thing about racism. The posting in which was replied to you by Sterling beauty did. I was responding to that moronic posting from the local appointee who posted it. I'm thinking her position my not be needed anymore. Blind loyalties are punishable in politics. Ignorance, lack of morals and leadership, selfishness, greed and certainly lack of solidarity is splashed all over this these threads. Dave Dooley can only lead his own selfishness..... Take the buyout Mr. Dooley... Trust that bit of advice. Local 228 wants their union back.
