All I have from the dealer is a copy of order confirmation before he submitted the order: Dealer # F56511 Order # 9999 or 0001 This should be for a 2011 Explorer Ignot Silver w/ LTHR LT Stone interior. This is a XPLAN purchase and should be under the name of Seaton. Thank You for any information.

My wife just ordered her Explorer last Friday and the dealership told her it should be here by the end of Feb, are dealerships really that out of touch with what is happening at the plant? I was told the same thing two years ago when I ordered a Mariner Hybrid, dealership told me two months took seven. Just looking for a honest answer.

When does the dealership recieve the offical Invoice?

Viper Pilot, THANK YOU. Any News is still good news even if there isn't an update yet. It helps with the waiting and my dealer tells me very little, they just found out the order was pulled last friday or so they say. Again thanks for making the wait easier.

Come 1 Aug I will also be at the 3 month mark without a VIN, I do not even have a partial Vin according to my dealership. Let us know what you find out from Ford customer service.

fmorris, Thank You for the update, I hope your dealer gets the allocation slots soon. I am starting to believe that I won't have a vehicle until Dec or Jan. If it takes that long I will still wait because it is the vehicle that I want at the time. But my dealer does claim he has allocation's.

GaryG Thank You for the info, my dealer told me that the hold up is California getting the vehicles first. I guess that was wrong because that one was bought in Ga.

Hoping someone could help answer my question I ordered my 09 MMH back in 02 May 2008, a week later I got a order conformation number and the dealer said it was unsheduled/clean, which means from what I have read on this post that it is not sheduled to be built and is buildable. Now it is two and a half months after the fact and I still do not have a VIN is this normal or should I be woried. Thank You to anyone who can help.
