TeslaTap and Lectron are two popular providers of Level-2 adapters for Tesla home and Destination chargers. I have the Lectron adapter for my Mach-E and it works great at hotels and other public Level 2 chargers. Yes, you'll have to carry two separate adapters, but having access to the Supercharger network more than makes up for that minor inconvenience, IMHO.

Nope—the adapter doesn't have the pins for Level 2 charging, only DC Fast Charging.

Flood Ford, Lombard Ford, and Anderson & Koch Ford are the longtime suppliers, but Granger Ford (IA) has stepped in and become a recent leader. They're at $50 over dealer cost.

I suspect so. Once they decided to revise the S550 platform instead of moving to CD6, I'm sure the increased cost for hybrid, AWD, and EV adaptation was a losing business case. I'm still holding out hope that the 8th generation moves to CD6 or another new platform and incorporates all of the above, to ease the transition into all-EV someday after that.

I'm eager to see it in person, but after the leaks and official reveal, I'm underwhelmed. We knew it was a refreshed S550, but there's too little differentiation for me. Dark Horse has no heritage, and for a 59-year legacy with so many historic nameplates to choose from, why create a new one? Since they highlighted the Tremec for the Dark Horse only, that implies to me that the regular GTs will be stuck with the MT-82 again. And of course, no mention of pricing yet. I'll wait and see how they evolve the line as this generation advances, but at the outset...I'll be keeping my '07 GT500 quite a few years longer.

The irony of Dean demanding we not make "blanket statements" because of a limited view...while he proceeds to make non-stop blanket statements about an entire generation based on his dealership and few in the surrounding area, out of, what, 3,000+ Ford dealerships nationwide? The reports of shady dealership practices seem to span the country, but he wants to minimize and excuse the behavior and put it on the customer to "do their homework." There are some good points and food for thought in your posts, Dean, but your hypocrisy and inability to acknowledge the other side weakens your overall argument.

I've gotta say, the interior of my Mach-E GT PE is fantastic, one of the best I've ever seen out of Ford. Since it's in the shop now, I have a 2022 Edge loaner, and even though it's a loaded Titanium, the interior is very dated and cheap.

She's home! Thought you'd enjoy another shot...and with our two-month-old Mach-E! Thanks again for the tracking. The 1,200-mile trek home was smooth as silk. Ford really does build an amazing machine!

She arrived at the dealer on the 16th! Unfortunately, I'll have to wait almost two weeks to fly out and get her (stupid work trips!), but I'm looking forward to the thousand-mile road trip to bring her home. Thanks again for the tracking - you made the wait bearable!

I picked up a Mach-E back in January, before the real gas price increases started. For me, it was more about convenience, technology, and performance, not simply gas savings.
