Getting back our cost of living would be HUGE and better than any raise. Also, although a raise for the first tier workers is overdue and well-deserved, I think the priority for us is to bring the 2nd tier workers wages up closer to ours. If we don't do that, the 2nd tier workers won't have any incentive to protect our benefits when we're retired. Lets remember, it's them that will be voting on our benefits after we're retired, not us. They need to think about protecting their benefits (AND ours) when THEY retire instead of giving up retirees benefits for a couple dollars an hour because they don't make near as much. Just my opinion. The best scenario is getting rid of 2nd tier altogether, but we know that isn't going to happen.
