  1. I wondered the same thing yesterday, never saw anything about this at Livonia.
  2. I was shown that exact same image (cracked screen and all) at Livonia. Was told it's from FRAP.
  3. They'll set it up if you go in to a store, or you can call them and they'll do it over the phone. You just have to send them a copy of your paystub.
  4. While I agree with the sub pay debacle, you don't have to contribute, just opt out. It's bullshit that we have to do that now.
  5. Pretty sure it would depend on the infraction.
  6. This isn't related to bonuses. Is TLO considered active? Are you "active" for any length of time if you're placed on ILO? I'm just wondering if it's actually written somewhere.
  7. I am reading the contract and don't see anything in it that actually defines "Active Employee" or more specifically "on the active employment roll". I have all volumes of Agreement books, as well as Letter of Understanding, going back to 1987 and none of them actually define those terms. We all know everything in these book is "up for interpretation". Anyone know how/where I could get a definitive answer? I know I'll get the suggestion to ask at the plant - that hasn't worked. Thanks in advance.
  8. Everyone that is ELIGIBLE for a buyout will get details in the mail.
  9. It's not bad at all. Last week they canvassed people to take unpaid (no sub/no unemployment) time off, this week and next. Never heard of them doing that in all my time with Ford.
  10. Committee man I talked to today said we probably won't hear more until after the first of the year.
  11. He'll get profit sharing, it just won't be as much as if he had worked the entire year.
  12. I can't remember exactly where I read it in the contract, but it was my understanding that TLOs are eligible for any signing bonus if you are on the active roster WITHIN 90 days of ratification, as in 90 days prior OR 90 days after. No?
  13. That's how I took it as well, just worded poorly.
  14. Considering that they "voted" on Wednesday AND handed out the highlights to members (and the media) the same day, I'd say you're right - it's been done for weeks.
  15. History has shown that people see that "big number" and nothing else. I honestly wish they would do away with the signing bonus and just bring us a fair contract. Everyone needs to seriously read every single thing listed on the highlights paper that the UAW hands out, and also keep in mind that there are MANY things that are negotiated that don't make it into the highlights - we only find out about them after the contract is ratified.
  16. Well then by your logic, Tier 1 will get everything back that they give up, you know, because our concessions were "put in place to get the company through a recession". I guess us Tier 1s can bank on getting back the Monday after Easter as a paid holiday, Cost of Living Allowances, break times, $600 Christmas bonus, etc. That's awesome. Thanks for being so smart. Good grief.
  17. Oh so let me get this straight: someone says you shouldn't get a raise (and that's simply because of your piss-poor attitude) and it's bad "union spirit" but when YOU say you should get a raise but not Tier 1, that's "fair"? Gotcha.
  18. Your 4th post in this thread states that you would vote yes and that it "seems fair" if you get a raise this contract and Tier 1 doesn't. Do you call that "union spirit"? Do you even understand that a LOT of people were on your side right up until you opened your selfserving, greedy mouth?
  19. You completely misinterpreted that, lol.
  20. Umm, way ahead of you, but thanks. Labor relations wasn't open at 9:00 last night. And labor relations hasn't exactly been reliable in the past either.
  21. Anyone know if Ford will file the unemployment claim for those that took the voluntary TLO, or does the employee file it? Thanks in advance.
  22. Is English your second language? Your original post says that you "heard" that Tier 2 would immediately be paid $20 an hour plus $1 for every year they've been with Ford. Correct? Ok, THEREFORE, Tier 2 would be getting a substantial raise all at once. Let me be perfectly clear for you (and I will type slow if you promise to read this slow): I have no problem with Tier 2 getting a raise. What I have a problem with is your clear position that Tier 1 shouldn't get even a small raise if Tier 2 doesn't get a substantial one. Again, no Tier 1 employee has EVER gotten a $4+ an hour raise all at once, so why on God's green earth do you think that YOU deserve one? Also, did I understand correctly in another post that you took a job at Ford believing "100%" that things would improve for you this year? That's laughable, and you're really showing your naivete. Listen up Skippy, Tier 1 has been giving shit up every contract for a long time. We justifiably believed 100% that the 2007 contract that was negotiated would get us through the entire four years. Instead, it was opened up mid-term and renegotiated. If that hadn't happened, you wouldn't even be here. Never, EVER believe anything to be 100% when it comes to the automotive industry. I have always felt that Tier 2 employees were getting a raw deal, and it has been humbling working alongside them knowing that they're getting screwed, but you and your animosity towards Tier 1 - as if your circumstances are OUR FAULT - is grossly uncalled for. I took a freaking pay cut for you, among other losses. I don't expect a thank you or even any gratitude at all and I never have, but a little respect, just as a fellow employee, being would absolutely be appropriate.
  23. That is not what your original post said. You stated that "Base Pay for any full time employees will be $20 / hour. Tier 2 will be paid when contract is signed based on how many years Full-time. For example if you have 2 years your pay will be roughly $22 / hour." That, sir, is a "hefty" raise - one that no Tier 1 employee has ever (to my knowledge) seen all at one time.
