  1. Hello i sorta new from Maryland. i have been on these forms for awhile . But desided to introduce myself. i'm the former VP of the Mustang Club of Maryland for 6 years. i'm on my 3rd Mustang. my 1st was a 1966 Shelby GT 350 # 819 i had bought when i was in high School. i got drafted into the Army in 1974 kept the car until i got home from Germany. got married there and got out with a Honorary discharge and sold my Shelby in 1975. like a fool. but live and learn. i recently found out its being raced in Wisconson after 10 owners. it took me almost 30 years to get another Mustang which my wife and i bought a 1998 Lazer Red Mustang Gt 3 days before Thanksgiving. My wife was going to work one morning and some lady in a Benz pulled in front of her and my wife t- boned her and totaled both car. the way the Mustang was built it saved her life. Thanks to Ford for the design of the Mustang. i had everything done to the car except Supercharger and nitros. it took 2 1/2 years to replace our 98 GT. i found our current Mustang on Cars.com. we bought a 2004 Redfire Met. convertible. it only had 23,000 mile on it when we bought it 3 years ago on August 4. My wife and i attended the 35, 40, 45, Mustang Anniversary's and can't wait for the the 50th Anniversary. The Mustang is the best Muscle car ever build. i have met Alan Mulally, all John Force Racing Team , Vaughn Gittin, John Clor. Thank You Ford for keeping the Mustang alive today especially bringing back the Boss 302 which i saw the 1970 Boss 302's race at Watkins Glen back in the 70's. can't wait to see what Ford has to offer for the 50th. Keep winning Ford Mustang. our club website is www.mustangclubofmd.com
  2. What's up with Ford winning just about every Funny car races. not that's a bad thing. it's really a great thing. especially John Force Racing team winning the most. John just just has to get on the wagon. he must be worried about Ashley having a Grand child. Way to go Ford Racing , Ford Mustangs, JFR Team. wait until the Mustang starts fully racing in Nascar. can't wait for that to happen. have to wait and see who wins tonight in Funny car .Thank You Ford.
  3. I'm just wondering where they might be holding the 50th anny. i herd rumors but nothing concrete.
  4. Only 10 grand. i can do alot with my Stang for 10 Grand. supercharger, alot of upgrades.
  5. i agree with akirby. nothing but Ford products. change every 5000 miles. never any problems.
  6. I bought the Ford Racing suspension kit for my 04 Mustang Gt and love it. came with lowering springs, front and rear sway bars. Tokico front struts and rear shocks Ford Racing rear gears 373. i recommend them to every Mustang owner i talk too. i attended the 45th Mustang anniversary and went on the Barber Motorsport track and my car handled like a racecar for a street car. Goodyear Eagle GT tires. rained all the way there and home and ran about 70 in the rain and handled with no problems. no hydro plaining.
  7. i have a 2004 Mustang GT convert. and i was wondering if Ford has designed the convert when down to hold people to sit on top with boot on for parades. i think Ford designed the top to hold people from day one to hold people in parades. like VIPs and such. i'm in a parade this weekend and was wondering if its ok to hold people there. of course there will be a blanket to protect the seats. thanks Dan Heagy VP Mustang Club of Maryland. not looking forward on using the clutch for a long parade.
  8. Thanks for the info. it was great. i think Ford should bring back Raven. i live in Baltimore and don't care much for the Balto Ravens but since my 66 Shebly GT350H was Raven black i guess thats why i like that color name. love a black Mustang with Gold stripes. it sorta offsets the car. and hope no name comes up as cameltoe. lol. jk sorry.
  9. The front looks great and i like the side view. i hope they work on the tail lites. not everyone is happy with the 2010 tailites . other than that with a new motor and more HP Ford has a great car for the future, as for going green just offer different greens and keep the HP. lol thank you Ford for the Best Muscle car ever produced and keeping it in production after 45 years plus.
  10. I was wondering who comes up with the color and names for the Ford vehicles. just wondered. are they voted on or just put in a hat a drawn out and agreeded on. Thanks Dan heagy VP Mustang Club of Maryland. Egg Yoke Yellow. maybe some dropped and egg on a Focus on a hot day and came up with that color. i like My Mustangs color Redfire Met.
  11. I'm the VP of the Mustang Club of Maryland write here once in awhile and i just wanted to Thank everyone (well most) at Ford. i was at the 45th Mustang Anniversary in Alabama in April and Ford has the best Muscle car still in production after 45 years strong not like GM and Chrysler. i heard Alan at the opening cermony and he talked very strong for Ford and i'm glad he didn't take buyouts from the government. i know the Mustang and the F150 and the new Focus and the Festiva will help Ford be strong and help them survive. if you aren't happy Bleeding Blue go work for our Foreign companies and see how you like invading our wonderful country years ago and builing plants here and stealing jobs from our auto manufactures . i blame that on our government . went was the last time you saw in the 70's a foreign car in Nascar, Nhra. just remember you can't do a wheelstand with front wheeldrive car. i have been driving Ford products since i have been driving since 1966. damn thats a long time ago. lol. and will drive a Ford until i die. hopefully for a long time. my mother lived until she was 83. i'm not close . lol. i currently own a 2004 Mustang Gt convertible with just under 35,000 miles on the motor. and i might be invited to the Ford Nationals in Carlislie the beginng of June. i'm very proud to honor Ford with the 45th Mustang celebration and i hope i get picked for the event. Thanks again Ford and all the UAW workers . btw if you can't stand the heat get out of the Kitchen. :stats:
  12. My wife and i went to the 45 th Mustang anniversary last week and had a blast. met alot of people from all over the world. i was suprizing how many people from all over the world who own Mustangs. we got to go on the track and it was alot of fun. got to meet Vaughn Gitten with his drifting Mustang , he know how to power the Mustang around the track. i also found out he lives 10 min. away from me. trying to get him to come to one of our Mustang club meetings. got to meet your boss Mr. Alan. what a nice person he is. i got his autograph on my Mustang ballcap. and i asked him what year Mustang he owned and he said that he didn't own one because he can drive any Ford he wants. i said that your progitive. Ford had a really great display. got alot of free stuff at the vendors. i won $500 worth of apperal for our Mustang club. we can't wait for the 50th anny. i saw more 2010 Mustang they looked great in person. especially the GT 500's . really nice pase cars for the Mustangs across America and on the track. Thank You Ford for building the Mustang for 45 years straight. Dan Heagy VP Mustang Club of Maryland
  13. 2010 Mustang release. it seems like Ford is waiting for the 45 Anny to release the Mustang next week. i'm going and have heard that there is going to be a 2010 Shelby and a GT leading the cruise to Homewood . i'm going to be there and can't wait. way to go Ford for still producing the Mustang straight for 45 years. Thank You.
  14. Great looking Stang. i bought an 204 Mustang GT last August with only 23,000 miles on it. just love it and also want to thank everyone at Ford also. my 3rd Mustang. mine wasn't built at Flat Rock but still built by Ford. my first Mustang was a 1966 Shelby GT 350H but that was history. took 30 years to get another Mustang. have owned Ford ever since. Gotta Love a Ford and their owner. Grat Muscle car on this wonderful planet/ BTW the Mustang is the only Muscle car that never stopped prodution after 45 Years strong. Thanks Dan Heagy Heagy Vice President Mustang Club of Mayland.
  15. I just bought a 2004 Mustang GT last August with 23,000 miles on it and love it. no problems with it. the only thing is can't put top down as much as i'd like because Spring doesn't seem to want to get here in full bloom lol. but warmer weather is just right around the corner here in Maryland. saw enough Robins. can't wait for the road trip to the 45 Anny in Alabama next month. Save a Horse and drive a Mustang.
