  1. I've never been fond of the MKT but this new revision looks the best!
  2. I wonder what Ford's plan is for the 6.8 V10's replacement in the F-53 motorhome chassis? Right now, Ford owns the Class A gas motorhome segment and I'd like to see them stay a leader in that area.
  3. The F-53 motorhome chassis still uses the 6.8 V10... The 6.2 produces less horsepower and torque. Class A gas motorhomes are selling well for the segment. I'd like to see Ford improve in that area but the 6.8 V10 is the only option they have for a gas motorhome.
  4. Yet another great month from a car company who refused to accept government bail outs. Do we know the best selling powertrains are for the Escape and Fusion? I'm thinking the 1.6 EB for both?
  5. So the Expy and Navi will have different sheet metal? Sounds awesome! I remember the Mark Lt pickup truck.... I believe it competed with Cadillac's version of the Avalanche... Escalade EXT I think it was called? Actually, I thought I read somewhere that the Platinum F150 is a replacement for the Mark LT although the Mark LT is still in production for the Mexican market.
  6. Yeah, Ford is being hush hush about it. The current Navi is holding steady for the most part but sales are already low as it is.
  7. Which could be applied to your post regarding Mazda 6 being a "rebadged" Fusion... Ok... That the thing sharing a platform is way more than being a rebadge but having said that, I don't think anyone would have objected too much if Ford had continued with a CD3 Fusion if it was made along the lines of the 2014 6 - if only in size and proportion, not styling. Thanks for clearing it up.
  8. Yeah you are right about the SEL trims. I've always thought the Mercuries look a tad bit nicer than most of the Ford varients.
  9. I guess I don't. Not sure if that was an actual question or an insult.
  10. All I was saying is that they look similair in certain aspects. Never said anything about sharing mechanically.
  11. I'm not sure about the Titanium amounting to what was Mercury... Ford has had the Limited trim for a while which was loaded with goodies. Same thing but a different name for the trim. That was the problem, a fully loaded Fusion was near the same as a fully loaded Milan with little difference.
  12. Hope you ar enjoying your Edge. I had the chance to drive a 2.0 EB in the Taurus and I thought it moved it well. I'd like to drive and Edge with the 2.0 EB to see how it handles but I would think since the Edge and Taurus are similar in weight, it move it the same. Explorer is nearly 500 lbs more than the two and that has the 2.0 EB in it... yikes.. and that can seat 7. Since you had a Aviator to an Edge, why not an Aviator to a MKX? Were you not sold on the quality of Lincoln at the time? I like the current MKX but nothing about it would make me purchase one over an Edge.
  13. I still see an Aviator every now and then and half of the time I see them, they are at a car lot. What made you decide to buy an Aviator over a Primier Mountaineer or a EB or KR Explorer? Just curious because I sometimes wonder if the Aviator didn't exist, if those cutomers would have bought a higher trim Explorer or Moutaineer. Much like if the Milan didn't exist, would those cutomers purchase a Fusion? Mariner / Escape?
