  2. Who knows....maybe ford would like us to strike. That way they can start re tooling plants without having to pay sub.Heck,if K.C is to be down for a year while the plant is readied for the big transit , why not recoup a little of the money.Ya never know.

  4. HERE ARE THE FACTS. figuring in inflation we have taken a pay cut almost every month since 2003 when we lost raises . I agree with another poster,Everyone will get a raise in this contract except seniority workers . The union gave themselves a raise,2nd tier , team leaders (that's a joke). And just what sacrifices did YOU make?.Didn't you agree to your wages and benefits when you hired in?You could have said "no ...I'm not satisfied with what you have to offer...I think I'll look else wear .But you didn't.You excepted the terms of your employment and you hired in. You made no sacrifices! ALL sacrifices have been made by legacy employees.WE made our lives on our pay scale, We bought our homes ,cars,furniture,took our vacations and even chose how many children we would have all based on our pay rate. As our pay grew we grew a little more,got to do a little more,raised our 401k contributions a little more put a little more in savings for our future . Then the bottom fell out.How long has it been since we had a raise ,cola,etc.! What happened to our benefits?Vacation? what vacation ,i cant afford a vacation.Last place i went to was main...main part of my back yard.Good thing my kids are all grown and have there own cars because i cant afford to take them anywhere.That second car that took them to school and Dr.appointments is long gone and not replaced. We are loosing everything we worked our lives for.401k is down to practically nothing do to hardship withdrawals.Savings has depleted do to supplementing needed monthly expenditures.It goes on and on.For me more concessions is out of the question! You hired in at a certain rate so you need to base your life on that.I guarantee you can find a house as nice as mine at half the cost do to drop in value because of a foreclosure or something.Who knows..it may be mine because I'm pretty darn close to losing it.The economy has gotten worse for those who are established and better for those who are just starting out.   11. I do not smoke pot,however some of my friends and family members do. (along with15 million other Americans who smoke pot regularly). Depending on your metabolism and frequency of using , marijuana can stay in your system for 3-60 days.(looked it up) so, like so many other Americans your sitting around a fire on a Saturday night drinking some beers , passing around a dooby and having a good time.Monday rolls around and you get up straight and sober,you go to work and BAM! You get called in for a mandatory D/A test. Whether you were smoking pot Saturday or just sitting amongst friends who were smoking pot ,you are going to fail your test. In my opinion mandatory D/A test are a bad idea.You work your butt off all week and you cant party with your friends on a Saturday night.BULL! Now us old folks like to sit around that fire and have a few beers reminiscing about the good old days. WE ether spend the night or the ol lady drives us home. Most of the time it takes more brews to get you happy than it did when you were younger, and it doesn't matter if it s Saturday or Sunday because college sports are on Saturday and the pros play Sunday and that goes hand in hand with beer. So come Monday morning you get up for work and BAM! you have a little alcohol in your system. So what we have here is your place of employment controlling your personal life.BULL! As for drinking a beer or two on your unpaid lunch break.....guarantee management is doing it to. and i know that for a fact.I also think that people need to stop singling out auto workers all the time. It happens in ALL businesses in most countries.(Looked it up) And one more thing..enough of the tax payers this the tax payers that crap! The American auto industry(Big three and the uaw) helped create the middle class.WE PAY TAXES! And all those benefits that allot of working Americans enjoy are a direct result of union negotiations.
