  1. I have the pricing sheet for the 2017s and when I priced out a 17 to be as close as my 15 Platinum it was almost $6,000 more. AND..... you can still option higher now with the 17s. A Load 17 Platinum F350 will run you $78,000 sticker price.. a F450 Platinum will sticker at about $85,000. LOL.. I'm glad I put under 10,000 miles a year on my 15 because I can't justify nor afford these prices.

  3. Here is another update that I just found http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/car-technology/news/a28916/vw-tdi-emissions-settlement/
  4. What they should do is tie the $5,000 refund to people who get their vehicles fixes. Even a 5% reduction in fuel economy will never equal the $5,000 check they would receive.
  5. Link to buyback info.. https://www.yahoo.com/autos/vw-agree-buy-back-u-152040770.html
  6. https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/volkswagen-pay-us-customers-5-195729580.html I wonder who gets the check if they are leasing their vehicle...
  7. I agree it would be nice. There is a member in the Explorer forum who has done this to his 2016 but it is more then just hardware. There is software involved as well that gets very complicated. There are more lines of code in Sync 3 then MFT and he had issues getting the left screen on the cluster to work correctly. Through programming changes he was finally able to get it done but as I said, it is more then just hardware. They also changed a lot of software between the 2015 and 2016 model years even though the 2016 (again explorer) is the same MFT.. I'm assuming Ford is not offering it because it is just too damn complex across the whole entire line to get it working for every MY and not worth their return on investment.
  8. Ford Motor Co. has officially begun taking applications to buy its new high-performance supercar, the Ford GT. http://money.cnn.com/2016/04/13/luxury/ford-gt-supercar-application/index.html
  9. I agree but for the average person out there who doesn't pay attention like we do to forums and changes etc, it can easily catch you off guard compared to the black wheels with the chrome center cap.
  10. Here you go.. found one online. My town PD is just like this but black. Hidden LEDs in the grill, sideview mirrors and sun visor area.
  11. They have started offering regular Explorer Rims now on the PIU vehicles. I've seen several including my town which is a Black PIU with no exterior lights visible and regular Explorer rims. I believe this started with the 15MY PIUs..
  12. Then all you can do is a post dpf delete which nets you no gains or increase in exhaust note. It would be all for "looks".
  13. So they said that orders are now over 200,000. https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/tesla-surging-122600305.html
  14. Post Removed - I was incorrect on the original post.
  15. On my phone so can't upload. Use link http://www.fleet.ford.com/edms/order-guides/?geography=NATL&brand=Ford&model=Explorer
  16. Yes you can, it is called "Dark Car" and need it enabled in IDS. When you open the doors, the interior lights, puddle lamps and parking lights will not illuminate. This is standard on the Police Interceptor vehicles and is just a setting change for civilian models.
  17. Audi A4 TDI plans scrapped for the US HAHA... ya I call complete BS on that

  20. Since you referenced the Explorer, there is a very lengthy thread (24 pages, 477 posts) on paint bubbling issues on the hood of them (2011-2015). It is all the same, bubbles underneath where the rubber gasket is and works its way to the lip and curls up and starts peeling off the front of the hood. Only fix is for Ford to replace the hood and repaint because it is contaminated. https://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=326943 Can't speak about the new F150.
  21. You are right... Just googled it and found pics/videos of both in that color.
  22. Comparing 2016 colors on the build/price, it looks like both Kona and Two Good to Be Blue are gone completely for the 2017 lineup. Looks like Blue Jeans is going to be the only Blue available. Bronze Fire is discontinued which I am assuming Canyon Ridge is replacing it (same with the Explorer). Also seems Electric Spice is discontinued as well. Although it is only for the Explorer, I'm really interested in seeing the Smoked Quart Metallic. I think this will look incredible on an Explorer Sport.
  23. 6.2 averages about 14-15 mpg tops when cruising on Highway and single digits when towing a good size load. If anyone says otherwIse, they are full of it unless it is a 2wd single cab. 6.7s get about 17-18 mpg , 20mpg deleted and about 11-12 mpg towing heavy. A 6.2 is not more efficient then a 6.7.
