  2. Here is the 2017 color guide. You can see which colors have Edge listed for to see what is and isn't available.
  3. Read about this about a month ago. I'll take one in a convertible please.
  4. Exactly.. and didn't they say they stumbled upon this on accident? LOL.. comical!!! Last time I checked, people don't drop stuff into the bed of their truck from 5 feet higher then the bed unless it is a front loader loading a cab/chassis. How many tests did they run that failed to give them the results they were looking for.
  5. I like the "no body rust.... EVER" and the filler can bit lol. Sometimes I really wish Ford wouldn't take the high road and would actually call out the competition instead of being so generic.
  6. There are PTU problems with the Explorers as well both Ecoboost and non Ecoboost motors. They develop leaks and the whole "lifetime fluid" is complete crap. After 50k the fluid is black and smells burnt. There are a few who have tried to change it out at about 90k and it wasn't even fluid any longer.. it was more like black tar. The PTU is not lifetime I don't care what Ford says and it is a week link in the drivetrain. Add higher HP into these and vehicles and the PTU which takes a little over a pint.. yes a pint of fluid gets toast quickly. Take a look at these pics.. this was 77k with no towing. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxOhJ9QKfWhJU2w1RVFKekQta00/view * off topic a little but since we mentioned drivetrain concerns and PTU came up...
  7. Can't edit my post on my phone. Need to add that although the motor does well, not sure if the tranny/awd combo can handle that high of an increase in power to be long term reliable
  8. @slvrsvt I've been following livernois on the Explorer forum for years and all love their tunes. Only thing I do not like is the tuner is locked to them so you can't load anyone else's tunes unlike the SCT x4 for example. Looks like about 420hp and 475tq at the crank with a 20% driveline loss. This car is going to be incredible tuned.
  9. Was debating on a Mustang for my next car but this is extremely tempting. Plus once the tuners get ahold of this car.. you will be seeing 375/450 easily IMO.
  10. And I will add that most who are going to put 55 bricks thrown in a bed are going to do it in a cab/chassis dump body bed. I can't see anyone dumping that loosely into a bed that doesn't dump only to then throw them out 1 at a time.
  11. Sheesh.. no one will drop landscaping bricks into the back of a pickup truck like that. When picking up, they would be loaded via bobcat or tractor with fork lifts on a pallet. However, I could see the tool box issue happening. Then again, has there been one post on any of the truck forums where they have said "I dropped something and it made a hole in my bed" on the 2015/2016 F150s?
  12. So let's say VW does have to buy them back in the US.. what happens to them? Do they get all crushed?
  13. Although this is for EU, they state that it has been confirmed it won't hurt mileage, sound or performance. Hmmm.. why didn't they do this in the first place if it doesn't affect any of those?? My guess... it will. https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/volkswagen-receives-approval-fixes-more-131002328.html
  14. 17s could have been ordered since April 13th.. As stated, rebates are not known until they hit the lots and if I recall, the 15s with the 2nd gen had $1,000 on them when they launched... don't expect any more then that since they will be trying to clear the 16 inventory.
  15. And to add, I just read your duplicate thread in the management section. You signed all the paperwork and wrote a check BEFORE the truck was delivered? Sorry but hard to feel bad for someone who does something like this. You should have never turned over money or signed a purchase/sales agreement before the vehicle is there and you inspect it.
  16. Have someone run your VIN in the Ford computer system to see the day it was delivered. If it matches with what you said and there was no Ford document on the window sticker saying they drove it for X miles for QC, then your dealer took it out from the point of delivery to them to the point of delivery to you. So many vehicles brand new from the factory have 60+ miles on them.. that shouldn't be something to really be upset over. Having a dealer joyride in your truck... well yes I'd be angry. You need to collect yourself and figure out what happened first before going overboard like the topic of this thread.
  17. So an interesting conversation on one of the superduty diesel sites. An owner just reported that he just received a letter from the DMVA saying that his truck has not had an emissions recall Ford put out (has to do with EGT sensors). They stated that he will not be able to register his truck until he gets it done and provides proof. Problem is, he is fully deleted so he has to put all the emission crap back on, get reflash ed and then delete again. So to me, this serves as proof of what will happen with all the TDIs in emission compliant states.
  18. Haven't seen 1 yet on the road...
  19. 400/450 sounds like a nice number.. the raptor would have 50 more HP. On a side note, my Explorer is in for service today (2011) and the dealer has finally made an agreement that when you have rental coverage, they must provide you with a Ford rental. Never understood why they would allow a Toyota or Nissan etc.. all they are asking for is to put a Ford owner in a competitors car to test out. I didn't know this until my $30 per day coverage got me a 2016 Ford Expedition Limited. All I can say is WOW!!! This is the first time I've drove the Ecoboost 3.5 since 2011 when I test drove the Ford Flex. WOW, this motor is a monster and I can't believe how fast it is in such a heavy vehicle. Taking my wife in it tonight for a ride and I know that she will want this to be her next vehicle. I'm sure the updated 3.5 and 10 speed will go in this as well.. have averaged almost 20mpg so far and I only get 21 out of the Explorer. Also loved Sync 3. I've had no complaints about MFT but I love how the screen acts like a smart phone now. VERY impressive. Sorry to side track the thread.
  20. So a question on what you this scenario. My brother in law has a 15 Passau tdi on a low mileage lease. His plan was to do a low mile lease and buy it out after and he is currently going to be way over his mileage (he didn't care). Now that they will be offering to cancel leases, I wonder what they are going to do for people who are over their miles...
  21. Was going to continue in the $5,000 thread but this just keeps getting better and better that it warrants a new thread/title lol http://www.theverge.com/2016/4/26/11513530/volkswagen-diesel-emissions-cheat-powerpoint-presentation

  23. You can still build them just like the 15/16s. I just pulled the order guide and went option for option on what I have currently and what the 2017 pricing is with the same options. The only difference is with the Platinum, you get the LED headlights and taillights which you can't option without so that is built into the price. Taking into account those 2 things, the truck is still $4,400 more MSRP. There were plenty of options to add on more (Platinum Ultimate Package for one). So you were not getting really anything more besides the headlight/taillights for $4,400!!! OUCH!! Now if you look at the base pricing of a stripped down XLT, you are talking about $900.
  24. More updates.. VW won't release diesel scandal investigation report https://www.yahoo.com/?err=404&err_url=https%3a%2f%2fwww.yahoo.com%2fnews%2flightbox%2fdonald-trump-mocks-john-kasich-photo-191131453.html%3fref%3dgs
