    Don’t buy a Ford

I bought a 98, 07, 2011, 2015 and now a 2020 on Order (your don't buy a Ford won't sway anyone). Ford does not wash their vehicles (Lincoln does) and frankly since you keep throwing out this $80k number like it should make a difference... FYI, Raptors start at $55k so if I bought one for $55k and you bought one for $80k because you optioned it more, you should get better treatment than I???? Exactly, so stop throwing out how much you paid, it does not make you any more special over any other person who bought a Ford. I would never want a dealership's low paid recondition crew washing my vehicles and putting swirls in the clear coat. Even on delivery I tell them not to wash it, they can detail the inside and dress the tires but that is it. Ford does not pay for rentals (again, normal). Some dealers have their own fleet of vehicles at their expense. My dealership that I have been going to for 10 years now just started this last year. Guess what you get for free... and EcoSport. Granted it is still free but it is also first come first serve. If you buy Ford's ESP (I can get you one at cost), then you get a rental vehicle up to $50 per day covered for up to 10 days. There is also a 1st day rental option for under $100 where you drive away with one upon drop off instead of waiting 24 hours. What I don't understand is why you would drive 2,000 miles after the dealership said to drop it off with 2 major issues (oil pressure and transmission). Rental vehicles are covered in your manual/warranty guide that comes with the vehicle. Sound like you haven't spent the time to read through it. There is a lot of info in there, I'd suggest you read it.

Your sisters was built on the 1st day they started production? Guess it was a Dealer stock order (I'd NEVER do a dealer stock order on a new MY with an all new design). Ok To Buy has not been established yet so it won't be shipping right now. On top of that, it will be jammed up in storage lots waiting for a 2nd inspection once ok to buy is given and won't likely get it for quite a while.
  3. Ford roadside covers 5yrs/60k. Powertrain coverage is also 5yr/60k. Not sure what the issue is but there was potential for a free repair and you would have had a free tow.
  4. Have it towed to the dealership. You are covered for Ford roadside, dont even drive it any more.
  5. F46,255 - $2,000 for invoice, another $1,500 for holdback, a couple thousand for re ates and $3,000 PCO offer You could take $8k off that price easy.

    2020 Ford Explorer

Slightly confused. Are you saying you expect the 3.0 to be 21/29/24 or are you saying the 2.3 should be higher then what Ford is saying it is? I'd be very happy with 29 highway with my ST. I average low 20s with my 2011. Personally it cant get out of it's own way on the highway.

    2020 Ford Explorer

A member on the Explorer forum found a few 2.3 window stickers. It is 20/27 with 23 combined. http://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin=1FMSK8FH9LGA02304 Nothing on the 3.0 yet.
  10. I can assure you I like many are not getting raises every year to cover the cost of inflation for what is almost equal product. My wife who is in the dental field and rated as one of the top employees of 40+ year after year didnt get a raise for 8 years freezes across the board). Myself it has been 3 years despite the highest of ratings across my district. My 15 f350 platinum that I had loaded up that I paid $62k for is still worth $54k 5 years later. Why is that? Because of how much these vehicles are increasing in cost brand new. It's both amazing and sad that I could sell it for $54k, put it down on a 2020 and walk out with a brand new one only owing $25k after getting 5 years out of my 15. I stand by my comment that this type of pricing for a FORD has to plateau at some point. $40k escape, $50k edge, $60k explorer, $80k expedition, $95k superduty.. $60k Corsair????
  11. I'm wondering when this is all going to start leveling out (the cost increase in vehicles). There has to be a point where Manufacturers have to stop increasing the prices as they are going increasing far faster than inflation is. 2020 Escape Titanium $40k My 2011 Explorer Limited (every option possible), $43k when I bought it. Yes I get that there are a few things that are offered now that wasn't back then but it's just amazing how expensive these vehicles are getting.

    Superduty Radio

Subscribe to Amazon Radio. It is far better quality, can listen to anything you choose at any time.. can create playlists.. unless you are looking for Sports Radio, Sirius is terrible quality.
  18. This was moderator approved to post. For 8 years I've built a relationship with a Ford dealer for ESPs. He had originally misquoted my ESP and honored it without even telling he misquoted by $400. He ended up taking a $300 loss on the deal. So during these 8 years, I've been trying to refer people to him because it is very difficult to find a standup guy to honor an error (I didn't buy a vehicle from him so there was no backend money made). Long story short, he sells to forum members Ford ESPs (genuine) at Dealer cost and I've had 500+ members buy from him across 49 states (I'm a moderator on 2 other forums). I have zero affiliation with him and I do not make any money or get paid any other way. Anyone in the US looking to buy a Ford ESP, please PM me and I will connect you with his contact info. Again, this is straight dealer cost, no profit to be made. --------- Because of the success of this and the phenomenal deal I worked out, I decided to contact a Canadian dealer via email to see if they would be willing to work anything out. The 2 finance managers and GM met after my email and also contacted the US dealer that I've been dealing with and have agreed to discount them. Any forum member in Canada can get a Ford ESP for $200 over cost. This is an exceptional deal for Canadians because of how much more money they are up in Canada. This arrangement just started a few days ago with them. If anyone is interested, again please PM me. I do not want to mention either name or contact info in the forum as I do not want to have this considered advertising. But feel free to ask any questions if you like.
  19. Any insiders know how the Explorer production is going? Yesterday marks 2 weeks worth and I'm assuming no Ok To Buy yet. Curious on what type of issues they are finding.

  21. I think $60k is very high when you can get a nicely optioned Aviator for $62k.
