  1. appreciate your response, however heard that insourced jobs are to stay as new rate period.
  2. Iheard last nite that 40 people would be coming from Brookpark. That this was just a start. What about the promises to the T.F.T'S.Didn't someons write that the G.E.N.and flowbacks would have to be dealt with first? If the incoming build up jobs are manned by 14dollar an hour folk then the workers on the line will never see the good build up jobs again. What's wrong with this picture .We will never get off the line.
  3. Iread this letter a couple of times. There is something odd about it .If you know Rangel you know that he didn't put the letter to-gether.That was the first thing that struck me. Then as I read it again I think that there is something odd about it.Don't know what it is but will try to figure it out.It is kinda like trying to prove a negative.A guy was saying to me that he had heard Nick talking to one of his(Nick's)buddies and Nick was saying that you only had to full them for a few days and that was easy to do. There is more to this because when you read the appeal nothing like this is mentioned.however i'll look at it later to-day.Iknow I read the full appeal as I got it back of the Internet.
  4. Was this guy Ackerman a trustee? If he was and something was wrong why did he not bring it to the executive board?Seems to me he was trying to use his title as a trustee to give legitimacy to his claim. He then seems to be making rash and probably wild claims. If so he was lucky that he wasn't sued and got off with just a warning. They tell me that Donovan was re elected after this was an issue,if so,then why are we discussing it now.The Vazur letter[Gallogly obviously knew who signed it]however is dealing with present times so it is subject to discussion.Donovan must have responded to ACKERMAN [HE,DONOVAN, WAS RE ELECTED]Nick still has time to respond to the Vazur letter.
  5. I am of the opinion that the BRUCE in question was Bruce Click as from what I hear NO one wanted Yates identified with them.As for unsigned letters, the only one that I am aware of was one that clearly came from those supporting the incumbent chairman. However I do tend to agree wiyh you that there will be more unsigned junk and I wold encourage the membership to IGNORE anything that is unsigned.Let me guess the land you have in Texas is probably located in Crawford,a little ol'e ranch.Thought so!Are you implying that before 1993 that people in the OHIO ASSEMBLY PLANT could't think for themselves.Seems to me that you are suffering a relapse.Remember HELP is only a phone call away.
  6. iasked Bruce who he was supporting for chairman and it was NOT Nick. How come the orange shirts were delivered to Nick's home?REMEMBER WHEN MORE THAN ONE PERSON KNOWS A SECRET ,IT'S NO LONGER A SECRET!!As for caucuses ,I asked around and guess what!Wrong again. They tell me that there were numerous caucuses in local 2000.Examples were ,THE HUNTER CAUCUS,THE SOLIDARITY TEAM[OLD]THE FAIR DEAL TEAM ETC.CAN'T YOU GET ANYTHING RIGHT?
  7. Pischone also tells people that he was a committeeman in Lorain. When?I spent many years in Lorain and I don't remember any committeeman called Pischone. Also I hear that he calls himself a Vietnam vet. He was in the navy which he joined AFTER Vietnam. And youy think that he's gonna tell you the truth. The guys on days in the garage won't call him because of his lying, and he's their rep. Most people don't bother to respond to unsigned letters I hope that nobody responds to the latest trash, then maybe the authors will get the message.Put your name on it or forget it.
  8. Ah!This explains why Yates hangs around the I.p. line so much.Glad to see that now the shoe is When I on the other foot, that it is now ok to help one's family. When I first came to OHAP all I heard was about Donovan and his kids .Not that as you say it matters, but when you check {as I did}out as to who has the most relatives working in the plant ,suprise, suprise Nick has more than twice the number as Donovan.Maybe this is why it is now ok to have family work here.Iwould encourage everyone to do a little checking when you hear things about ANY of the candidates.Just remember we are in an election and we all know that DESPERATE PEOPLE TEND TO SAY DESPERATE THINGS.I will be checking and reporting on anything that I hear.
  9. Please help this poor individual, the medication has worn off!
  10. Iwould suggest that you talk to Tim Rowe who you speak highly of in regards to Robert Gonzalez.I have, and he told me that Robert Gonzalez has NEVER negotiated a contract contrary to his claim that he did.I know that he signed it BUT it was as a courtsey that Tim allowed him to do so.We had quite a few brothers and sisters from Lorain who helped hand out leaflets when the region was on orgainsational drives also many brothers and sisters from other locals including local 2000.The Solidarity team{to the best of my knowledge} did not put out a ticket of endorsment in the election for the election committee. Most people in the plant said that the election committee is supposed to be neutral and should not have political groups endorsing them.
  11. Thanks Spring.Like most others I was busy digging out. There was a good bit of complaining in the plant Friday about the politicians putting out tickets supporting some candidates.People were saying that the election committee should be neutral.A number of candidates said that the only endorsment that they wanted from anyone was their vote in the election.Congratulations to all the successful candidates.I got a call from someone who was at the meeting and they said that Pete Kitts and Tom Rowe are running for bargaining committee with Robert Gonzalez. That means that you have an all Lorain group running for chairman and bargaining committee. This election is definately going to get intresting.
  12. Has anyone heard the results of the election committee election?
  13. Ford makes the decision to open or close plants based primarily on economics. After all they are a business, they have stock holders to whom they must answer to etc..Obviously the way that the plant is run internally and how successfully it is run will go a long way in determining its financial wellbeing.Ford deal with whoever they have to from the union side when they operate their plant. It is the vision or whatever you want to call it of the union leadership in developing a good work enviorment that helps its members as they try to build the best product possible that makes the difference in whom we elect. As for your personal situation I have sympathy for you and your family.Unfortunately in a union shop the contractual rights of others come into play.Others have been in your situation and survived it,hopefully you will also.I mean this in the kindest way.
  14. is this a serious question?
