  1. Yeah, bad year. I call BULLSHIT. Even FCA getting more than us! $8010! Keep up the good work Ford!
  2. I think ford should be posting numbers of people out on covid. Seems like anyone I talk to knows of someone that's out because either contracted or has had close contact with someone. This shit is getting way out of hand and I bet the numbers would be surprising.
  3. If your hourly ya missed the boat.
  4. Google the Ford 2019 contract. You'll get all you need from that.
  5. I guess making office furniture isn't the same as making cars and trucks. ? https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/ford-ceo-jim-hackett-to-step-down

  9. Here's a link to ask questions ttps://uaw.org/coronavirus/#contact Good luck!
  10. If it comes back positive, does that mean you had it or still have it and can you spread it? Did you get tested for covid19? 2 differed tests.
  11. From UAW President, Rory Gamble Sisters and Brothers, I want to address some of the comments and questions I’ve been hearing over the past few days concerning testing for the COVID-19 virus. Last week, UAW International staff members in Michigan received COVID-19 testing as part of a Beaumont Health research project. I have heard some pretty strong comments from members concerning our staff having access to the testing. I want to address this quickly and directly. The UAW, just like the companies, is an employer. And just like the companies, we are responsible for our employees’ health and safety while they are in the workplace. The International staff has had two confirmed cases of COVID-19 and the nature of their jobs requires that they travel to multiple member locations and worksites. In addition, since we are participating in testing, we signed up to be part of this research project (the largest national serological testing study) to help researchers answer the many questions surrounding the spread of COVID-19 and potentially help those infected. Staff received both the nasal swab and serological tests. We must lead by example in this unprecedented situation. We have made it crystal clear to the companies that the health and safety of our members must be the top priority as we plan for the restart of our economy. In terms of testing, I have said to all of our employers that we expect a commitment from them for full testing as soon as it is possible. Until then, we expect as much testing as is possible to be conducted. Ask yourself, can we demand testing and adherence to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) standards from companies if we don’t comply ourselves? I know emotions are running high right now and there is a lot of misinformation in the media and on social channels about this virus and about testing. But we must remain steadfast and consistent in our position and our actions as an organization. And I can promise you that along with the entire International Executive Board, I am doing everything in my power to protect our entire UAW family. Thank you. In Solidarity, Rory L. Gamble I CALL BULLSHIT!! Research my AZZ!! QQ Rory, YOU HAVEN'T HAD ANYONE ONE DIE FROM YOUR PLACE OF WORK!! WE HAVE. THE HAVE AND THE HAVE NOTS!!!
  12. In this phased restart, Ford’s North American parts depots will resume full operations on Monday, May 11. On May 18, Ford’s North American assembly plants previously operating on three-shift patterns will return with two-shifts, most two-shift plants will return on one shift and most one-shift plants will operate on one shift. Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Flat Rock, Mich. and Oakville Assembly Complex in Oakville, Ont., are expected to resume production the week of May 25 on one shift. Components plants will restart production as needed to support this plan. This will be an experience you'll never forget!

  14. • Sub Benefits Many questions and concerns regarding the sub pay benefits during these lay off weeks. The company has notified us that the FPUC ($600) is part of unemployment and therefore it will reduce or negate your sub pay. There are many of us that believe this language is being misinterpreted and the FPUC benefit should not count against the Sub Benefit payout. We have been in constant communication with the NFD (National Ford Department) and we have taken this to the highest level of the UAW. We are waiting on a determination from them. Since Sub Pay is part of your benefits package, this issue CANNOT be resolved thru the grievance procedure, our only recourse of action (if we are not satisfied with the determination) is the appeals process through the Benefits Department. So as of now we have to wait for a final determination from the NFD before we can proceed with the next step.
  15. Congratulations! You all worked hard for this. ENJOY!
  16. Puts you into middle of May. Seeing how most people last day was March 30.
  17. Before returning to work and daily thereafter, you are requested to complete the Online Self-Certification questionnaire which will help you determine if there are any important symptoms that would prevent you from returning to work. You can find the questionnaire. Temperature Scanning: The latest technology in temperature scanning will be set up at designated entrances to your facility to identify people who have elevated body temperatures (a fever). Out of an abundance of caution, you will not be permitted to enter the facility if the scan indicates that your temperature is above the normal threshold. Everyone entering a Ford Motor Company location will be required to wear a face mask. Ford employees will be provided a mask upon entry. This policy will remain in effect until COVID-19 is no longer a critical risk to our employees.

  21. Got sub pay today. When does the government $600 kick in? And am I going to have to pay back sub if Feds pay from first week off?
  22. From Plant Chair, Scott Elliott. This is the latest information from Ford Motor and Vice President, Gerald Kariem. Background The CARES Act, which was passed last week, includes Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (PUC) that provides an additional $600 on top of what an employee would receive in State unemployment benefits, and extends the total number of unemployment weeks from the State maximum to 39 weeks. This would take effect on 3/29/20, and is only payable to layoffs as a result of COVID-19. Each State has the option to opt-in to the Federal PUC. As of today, the States of Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Indiana, California, Oregon and New York have notified the public they have opted into Federal PUC. Currently, we are following up with other States to determine if they are opting into the program. Impact to Supplemental Unemployment Benefits (SUB) PUC is a Federal unemployment benefit that will be provided in addition to State unemployment benefits. This means that the Federal PUC and State unemployment benefits will reduce Company provided SUB pay, but eligible employees will continue to receive SUB at 74% of their before tax pay per the 2019 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Please keep in mind, the Federal PUC and State unemployment benefits may completely offset SUB pay resulting in zero Company provided SUB pay. How this Impacts You Locations in AutoSUB States (Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky and Missouri) You do not need to do anything – all AutoSUB States have decided to opt into Federal PUC, the total unemployment benefit payable should come from the State, and HRIMS will calculate the amount of SUB payable. As stated above, the additional Federal PUC when added to the State unemployment benefit may exceed the income security levels as stipulated in the 2019 CBA and therefore SUB may not be payable. If there are questions regarding why an employee did not receive SUB pay, the employee’s SUB reports should be reviewed to determine why the employee did not receive the benefit. All Other Locations As with any other layoff, employees must provide their unemployment benefit information in order for the plant to process a manual SUB application. This information can be submitted via email, fax, text message or any other method that validates the receipt of unemployment benefits. The total unemployment compensation amount should be entered into the spreadsheet – for example – State unemployment amount = $400 + Federal PUC = $600 – you would enter $1000 in the unemployment benefits column of the manual SUB application. We will keep you updated as things change.
