You guys have been calling me a racist and then you come on here and call a black man a Uncle Tom. Now we know who the racist are. You just told a black man he was lucky because he has a job.Did you think maybe he has a good job because he works hard or does that only apply to white people? When I started this thread, I had heard about this story on the radio and read about it in the paper and neither mentioned race and neither did I. You Libs are the ones who brought up race. You support a party who would rather keep people in subsidized housing and in a food line by telling them how unfairly they've been treated and that they can't do any better without the governments help. You guys remind me of men who find weak women to date so they can feel more secure in themselves. That's what I call sad.

I replied before I watched that video ,so maybe I do think it's funny. I would like to have seen more pictures of people in line to see how many had name brand clothes.

I get no satifaction from this and I don't think it's funny. The Dems may enjoy it. Hand out a few of my dollars now and get a few votes later. Seriously,I wonder how many of them would come in the plant and work on the line for money or how many were there to commit fraud? I don't have a problem helping people but giving them some money this week won't help them any next week. What the politicians need to do is establish fair trade and bring some jobs back to this country. Funny how you never here a dem. or repub ever talk about that. We've spent all this stimulus money and only a small percentage is used to create real jobs. I saw a girl under a underpass last week with a help needed sign. She's standing there smoking a cig. I looked around and the whole place was covered in trash. I wonder what she would have done if I had handed her a trash bag and told her I'd be back in a hour and would give her 20 bucks if all the trash was picked up? It's sad to see how bad the economy is in Detroit and how trashed and run down the place is. But then again when I think back 10 years ago when I come up here the first time when the economy was booming Detroit looked like a dump then also.

Deanh-- I'm not living in fear. God has taken care of me this far and I trust he will continue. I know I live in the land of opportunity and I am very thankful for it. cal50-- Thanks for that video. That must be the first funny thing SNL has done in 20 years. fordworker--I don't drink so I don't understand most of the gibberish you wrote. I'm not sure what church you go to but at mine we sing praise to God, not any man. Please show a school or church that sang songs about W. Why do you say Republicans are Racist ? Because they want people to take responsibility for themselves and make a life for themselves. The Dems are the only ones I hear that keep throwing race around when they can't get their way. They control the White House,Congress and the Senate and still can't pass anything except a bill to sell a bunch of Toyotas. They are trying to pass a healthcare bill that they admit they can't read because it's to confusing and people are ok with that. I'll pass on anything the Gov. wants to do for me but not for their own families. As far as being a Republican,I'm about done with them also. They are the ones that started all the bailouts so I don't just blame the Dems.There is enough people getting involved in the tea party movement sweeping this country right now that if there isn't a party to represent us ,we will find our own. Now it's time to get ready to build some trucks.

You're wasting your time on here napfirst. Judging from most of the posts on this site they need the government to hold their hand. For everybody else, Go Obama He's going to take care of your healthcare,keep you in your homes even if you don't pay for them,extend your unemployment forever,put a foodbank on every corner,raise your kids for you and teach them songs of his praise,and bring the special olympics to chitown. He's soooo wonderful

I believe the people who think we can spend our way out of this mess need to go out and get all the credit cards and take out all the loans they can get and head out to the stores and start spending and leave my money alone. It gets me how people keep talking about universal health care. Can anybody point to a gov. program that isn't screwed up. I'll just keep my home remedies book my grandmother gave me. She died up in her 90's and I don't remember her taking any medicine.

There was twice as many people at our tea party than was expected. The next one will be much larger.
