I previously provided examples of the different presentations of the coast to coast screens in the Chinese Explorer and Aviator where they had notable differentiation.   How do we know the CtoC screen won’t only be available in the highest trim levels of the Expedition?  I have no issue with that since the price of a Platinum is in Navigator territory.  Although I would prefer the Navigator have a completely unique interior, at the same time I would also like the Expedition to have a superb interior as well.

    Although I think the wheels look good, I thought the same.  It’s hard to ignore the touch of Camaro that is in this latest generation.  The car still looks good though.

    The production figures above are from Ford's press release though (for some reason Dec 2023 didn't have them, that's why I used Nov).

    I think Ford has jumped the shark on Bronco pricing.  Broncos are now being stocked on the lots around me, whereas this was never the case before, and you can buy them with a hefty discount.  I’ve even seen bronco Raptors being advertised for $5000 off.
     

    They affectively drove me out of the market based on value I see in the vehicle.  
     

    I think the next few months worth of sales will give us an idea on the impact of Bronco pricing.

    I’m curious what Autonation has.  The Lincoln dealerships around my area have very little inventory of any model for that matter. I am unclear how to interpret that. Either they’re selling what they’re getting in, or they are having difficult getting inventory, or they aren’t ordering much for inventory.   I just don’t know.

    The model S is still a good looking car, but as you have stated the design language if 10 years old, so what is the incentive to upgrade to a new car if you already have one.  It’s not a surprise the S sales are low now.  Lack of refreshes on virtually any car will spell doom for sales.

    I had no clue what it was till it turned and I saw its profile.  That “Thing” is worse than the Aztec ever was. Made the Aztec look like a beauty queen.  I waited for it to park and the driver leave to take a closer look. 
    How was it ever allowed to happen. ?

  9. I feel like Ford is screwing themselves on the Nautilus. It seems the Nautilus has been well received, and manufacturing it in China appears to be impacting its availability.  Not to mention lost sales to those people that would otherwise buy one, but won’t because it’s made in China.

    That is an unfortunate fact, considering the Navigator invented the segment.  

  11. The styling of the Escalade is not for me.  I find it to be very bland.  The Yukon and the Tahoe are both much more interesting to look at, particularly the Yukon. Based on the three models, I feel like you are only buying the Escalade to say you bought the most expensive model.

    i understand where you are coming from, that this vehicle will have top of the line performance, and I don’t doubt that, but it just doesn’t appeal to me otherwise.  As you have pointed out, the garish wing doesn’t help matters, but it has its purpose. I might like the car more if it didn’t have that.  

  13. Obviously, Buick is using the same design language across all their vehicles. When I first saw the Envista, I thought it was pretty sharp for an inexpensive vehicle, but I don’t necessarily think the design language translates as well to the larger vehicles.

     

    It’s not terrible, but it’s not great either. As others have stated, the interior looks very nice though.

    Agreed. This car just does not appeal to me.  I like Mustangs, but not at this price tag.  Maybe it’s just me being an old timer, because my son likes it.  
     

    I just don’t look at this car and think wow. I have to have that.  Even though it may be badass on the road/track It just doesn’t raise any passion in me.  If I were to pay a price like that I would also need to love the way the car looks.    

  15. This is actually a disappointment for me.  The TRD version looks ok, but the blue one looks very meh.  I thought this would be a mini Land Cruiser, which was a solid effort, but this is a miss.  
     

    With that said, it’s a Toyota, so it will sell whether it’s good or bad, especially since it’s a complete redesign.

    A fixed roof Bronco makes more sense. 
     

    The new Land Cruiser is the first Toyota in a long time that I liked the look of. 


    It’s interesting that you say that because I have had a number of friends who know I’m a Ford fan ask me about it after seeing pics of it, saying they like it.  So you may thinks old looking, but there will be people that like it.  
     

    I personally don’t think it would confuse anyone as it does not resemble any of those vehicles.  That’s what your marketing department is for.  Hyundai seems to manage similar vehicles in the same market segments, so I don’t see why Ford couldn’t. 
     

    In respect to your comment, isn’t that basically what the 4Runner is?  An old design that people still buy.  The work is already done in the Everest, so incremental sales could be acceptable.

    Which is why it would be great if they would bring the Everest here to compete with the 4Runner.  Seems like it would be a no brainer since it’s a platform mate and there’s room in the lineup for it.
