  1. My Mom has a Caddi SRX she will be replacing within the year. She historically has had Cadillacs, and the XT5 will be on her list. Historically I wouldnt have suggested the MKX but I have been around the a few of them more recently and Ive come to realize they are quite nice, and have some very good lines. I really like the new front on the 2019 and it is a nice evolution of the model. I will be encouraging her to take a look at it. On a side note, the Caddi CUE system in her car is a horrible system and not user friendly at all.
  2. A three row Grand Cherokee will be interesting. Ive never considered the Grand Cherokee because its lack of a third row.
  3. And you are getting a heck of a lot more vehicle with the Navigator as well.
  4. You made me laugh out loud? Seriously though, this will be good for Ford Raptor buyers, as this means Ford will have to respond to whatever it is they come up with. It could mean a V8 at some point. Things are about to get interesting. I cant imagine Chevy will not get into this game after Ram joins in.
  5. I think this is what makes this decision fairly low risk. They have 2 to 3 years to evaluate whether to add the Fusion back if the Sedan market were suddenly become more viable again. This doesnt mean I like the idea of dropping it, but there is flexibility.
  6. Might I suggest you worry less about what other people are doing with their money. Do you really think the average Mercedes or Range Rover driver thinks of an F Series as a vehicle on par with theirs? I can assure you they dont, so what kind of status symbol is that?
  7. Im glad to hear that Anthony. Hopefully you are more the norm and not exception.
  8. Does look like they may have gotten rid of the master antenna. Some people hate the mast antenna but I guess it never bothered me.
  9. The only thing that will compel me to trade my 2017 in is a V-8.
  10. Im sure Ford anticipated this response, since GM hasnt had any real competition for a long time in the full size market and they are the top dog. The Expedition is an excellent product, and hopefully they are committed to keeping it that way this time around. What the new Expedition does is give all of those Ford owners a legitimately good full size option, which they used to have to walk across the street to the GM dealer to get. The nice thing is, the next gen F150 is coming around 2020, so the new tech associated with that will subsequently transfer into the Expedition. There will still be some conquest sales from people who are tired of buying the same thing as well. I feel good about the Expeditions trajectory assuming Fords production can support it.
  11. They certainly dont seem to be encouraging people to buy these vans for personal use based on there available seating configurations do they.
  12. Why would Ford sponsor a Chevy motor. I find that embarrassing.
  13. Apparently you have not been in the Ram or the Chevy. Perhaps you are referring to a 2019 Ram and next gen Chevy? Nevertheless, IMO you are wrong, even though I tend to like Rams. Why did you buy a vehicle you dont find appealing, considering the options out there?
  14. I would say that looks are subjective. Youre not going to get a brand new truck every three years, and that goes for the competition as well.
  15. I dont think you realize how far ahead the 2015 model was versus the competition.
  16. Im with you. I dont find a compelling reason to buy a diesel.
  17. I agree. This is not at all what I was expecting the vehicle to be if its true. Front wheel drive isnt usually associated with a performance vehicle.
  18. They may be selling on price on cars but I dont believe they are selling on price on the rest of the vehicle groups.
  19. As stated above, this has more to do with the fact the Escape is so old. There are much more compelling products out there than the Escape. If I were in the market for a vehicle that price and size category I would be looking at the Jeep Compass. If Ford wants to go with this one car strategy outside of Mustang, theyre going to need more than the utilities they have got, so those white space vehicles better start emerging quickly.
  20. I also assume the new PIU interior, with increased space, will continue to drive Fords leadership in the law enforcement arena. The current PIU offers decent space for officers with full kit, but there is still some room for improvement. Ill bet the next gen Explorers packaging will be more efficient for LE configuration.
  21. I have no skin on this game because I drive trucks, but Im curious about something. Of those of you who want the manual, how many of you would actually buy a GT500? It seems to me that if this is the ultimate performance Mustang, then it's not surprising that it has the highest performance transmission in it. I get your angst about the manual, because they are fun to drive. Ive had several in the past, but I cant say that I miss them on my trucks.
  22. Perhaps this is a stop gap measure for them to say they are offering a fuel efficient alternative while developing a small turbo V6. It seems it will be hard for it to compete with the Ford 2.7 due to the weight of the truck though.
