  1. Current Ford quality especially with new model launches is why I am picking up a new 2022 Ranger tomorrow to replace my leased 2019 Ranger vs waiting on the “all new” one next year. Ranger is one of the few Ford products that actually scores at the top of it’s class in reliability. I did go with the Tremor this time so it has enough changes it’ll feel new to me. A lot of people said I should buy mine off lease then order the new one when it becomes available. Nope… I’ll give that one a couple years first.
  2. Could I please get an update on my Ranger. Thank you! 1FTER4FH4NLD19276
  3. I am not sure why this old thread was brought back, but none of this discussion matters if you consider why it started in the first place... "Ford has said 100 times that there will be no global Ranger in the US. Fine. Let's think out of the box !" We don't need to think out of the box because the global Ranger is here now. Plus there is a Maverick slotted below it. The only reason Ford ever offered an Explorer Sport Trac in the first place was to offer a mid sized crew cab pickup. The Ranger fills that spot today.
  4. One good recession will fill the dealer lots again. It’ll happen again even though some say it won’t. It always does and is many times preceded by a period of high inflation.
  5. Yes. They were probably smart to trade it right back for an Escape right now and take a smaller loss then wait and really lose.
  6. Today I stopped in at my dealership to hopefully get the last oil change done on my 2019 Ranger before my 2022 Ranger Tremor shows up and there were people that came in to trade an almost new EcoSport that still had paper dealer plates on it for a new Escape because they disliked it so much. So they got an EcoSport sold only for it to return.?
  7. My truck finally showed "shipped" on the tracker yesterday evening. It took 35 days to get a rail ride from the factory, but it's finally on the way!
  8. Could I please get an update. Thank you so much! 1FTER4FH4NLD19276
  9. From what I have been hearing on the Ranger it went from the ability to delete the Auto Start/Stop if you wanted (all models except Tremor) to Ford just deleting it on all of them now. Mine was built just before this change took place. I’d say the majority of people will be glad the ASS is gone.
  10. Could I please get an update to see if my Ranger ever shipped or they have a new ETA. Thanks! 1FTER4FH4NLD19276
  11. Shipping delays can't help either. The dealerships around here can't get many models shipped in right now even if they are built. 90 days from build to arrival at the dealership is ridiculous.
  12. I requested a 2 month lease extension on my current vehicle because even though my new Ranger was built and released a month ago it still has not shipped. 2 months puts me at June 13th. We should take bets on whether or not I have to request another extension in June.
  13. I requested a 2 month lease extension on my 2019. I'm really hoping I see it by May 13th so one month might have been enough, but I am not trusting this shipping process at all. I would think 2 months to get it here after it was built and released should be enough, but maybe not? They said I have 10 days to sign the extension so I am holding off a bit, but looks like I will have to go that route. I was feeling confident I would get it soon when it was scheduled quickly and built without shortages and released. I should have known that this order process never goes smoothly these days. Some step along the way is going to hold you up. It's frustrating, but everything seems to be these days.
  14. Well at least mine comes up in the Ford Order System as Delay - Rail Carrier. Delay - Non-normal event is about as non-descriptive as one can get. Lol
  15. Sorry to pull up a two year old thread, but the shipping situation has not improved. I understand Ford isn't totally to blame and rail and trucking logistics are a mess in the US, but as I enter week 3 with my new 2022 Ranger Tremor built and released on March 10th still just sitting at the factory with a status of Delayed - Rail Carrier it's frustrating. There is no communication except for me being able to have a member here check status once a week. Which I really appreciate. The salesman said he has no idea either. It still says ETA April 4th, but that isn't going to happen. If I see it by May I'll be lucky I guess. Anyhow I understand some of this is beyond Ford's control, but if they really want to move to having the majority of customers order vehicles instead of buying dealer stock some improvements need to be made. Both in shipping logistics and communication.
  16. I will warn it might get built and released for shipping and then just sit and sit waiting to ship. I'm going on 3 weeks and hasn't even left a lot at the factory. Must be short on rail cars.
  17. Thank you for your update last week. Could you please check to see if there has been any movement with my Ranger. 1FTER4FH4NLD19276
  18. Maybe, but then again if only high MPG vehicles are selling maybe Ford wants to offer a couple more. I am sure they are tossing around the idea if things stay bad. The only problem is how long would it take them to produce the models again for the North American market?
  19. It's all pretty much model dependent at this point. I ordered a 2022 Ranger Tremor on December 27, 2021 and it was built March 8, 2022. Waiting on it to be shipped to the dealership now so probably another month. I know you don't want a current Ranger, but that's been my experience at the present time.
  20. Gas gets to $4.50+ a gallon and stays there for awhile it might be much easier to get a Bronco for those who want one.
  21. They haven't even shown the North American version yet so I would be shocked if they moved Job #1 up to the summer or fall of 2022. I still think late spring 2023 is much more likely.
  22. The biggest problem with gas prices out of control is if they stay too high for too long like in 2008 it can be a factor in a recession starting. I'm convinced these out of control prices especially with real estate can't go on forever without the bubble popping. Ford needs to find a way to build more Mavericks because if a recession hits that and other small affordable fuel efficient vehicles will be what sells. I remember all the big expensive trucks and SUVs piling up on dealer's lots in 2009.
  23. Wow that looks awesome! Let's see what happens when Ford in North America gets done with it. They have been very busy with changes to the current generation since 2019 so I can't imagine what exciting new features they will be adding to the Ranger. 1. no rear folding headrest 2. no hood struts(as of 2022) 3. no PRNDS light 4. no glovebox damper 5. no RANGER embossed into the Lariat seats 6. no console (pen) cubby 7. no 12V outlet in the console without 110v option 8. no bright trim rings on the 12v covers that matched the radio knobs 9. only 4 bed tie downs instead of 6 (as of mid 2019??) 10. no engine cover 11. no key slot on tailgate lock 12. no owners manual cover 13. no power folding mirrors on XLT 302A 14. Eco badge on tailgate 15. no plugs in the rocker panels 16. no ignition bezel (has always been missing) 17. steel front fenders (aluminum before) estimated after March 2021 and all 2022 18. no bright button on parking brake 19. no color keyed tailgate handle on Lariat just black plastic without chrome pkg. 20. no aluminum spindles, they're now steel 21. rear passenger doors no longer have external touch lock 22. front seat headrest tilt adjustment 23. (2) 4.2" productivity screens instrument cluster replaced with (1) 4.2" screen in Lariat 500A Like I said very busy! ?
