  1. I read somewhere that Silverado 1500 actually outsells F-150. But SuperDuty makes up that difference compared to Silverado HD.
  2. Fusion was the best car I ever owned (until I recently got my 2008 Mustang GT), but its my least favorite. I just don't like it. Maybe I just expected too much from Fusion to be as powerful, comfortable and quiet as my Intrepid (which Fusion is not). Intrepid was ready for a junkyard at 103,000 miles on the odometer so we had to sell it. In Europe we had 1979 and 1984 Zastava 101 and 1983 Volkswagen Golf (God I miss that car) and since moving to the United States we had 1992 Escort, 1991 Taurus, 1997 Dodge Intrepid, 1994 Camry, 2000 Mustang, 2005 F-150, 2008 Fusion and 2008 Mustang GT (we still own last 5 on the list).
  3. My opinion about Ford (and cars in general) was always the same. I grew up in Europe and I always liked Escort, Sierra, Capri and other European Fords. I was also a big fan of Mercedes, Fiat and Citroen, which I still like today. Ford is still my favorite brand, it always has been, but I'm really starting to hate the fact that they share too many parts with Mazda and Volvo.
  4. It took Big 3 ~30 years to ruin their reputation and now they would like to get it back in a short time? Even if Big 3 did match import's quality, people's opinion about vehicles won't change overnight.
  5. What can I say, it ain't my fault that Ford is taking Mazdas/Volvos, changing the body and calling them Fords. I still prefer Fords compared to other brands, mostly because Mustangs and F-150s are done so well, but I'm regretting a decision to buy a Fusion, simply because its not a Ford - its a Mazda. And by the way, America doesn't care about Big 3 simply because Big 3 didn't care about America for the past 30 years. Pretty much everything that Big 3 produced in the past 30 years or so was junk compared to imports from Japan.
  6. One thing I hate about newer Fords is that they don't feel like traditional Fords anymore. My Fusion doesn't feel like US car. It feels like a Mazda which sucks. If I wanted a Mazda I would've bought one, I don't wanna a Mazda in Ford's body. So basically I have 4 Fords now, I love all of them except Fusion which I'm really avoiding to drive. It simply doesn't feel like a traditional Ford. And if Ford continue to build cars like that (that share too many parts with Mazda or Volvo) I'll be switching to another brand. When I got my Fusion I traded in 1997 Dodge Intrepid. I still regret that decision. Intrepid was junk, but it was so fun to drive and felt like a real Dodge.
  7. That's Euro Ford Transit which Ford never confirmed for the USA. Ford did confirm Transit Connect.
  8. Sorry Toyota, but you don't get any sympathy from me.
  9. I like it. Looks even better than Lucerne.
  10. I really like this commercial. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=iqKSKf1LpJ0
  11. Didn't Lada stop producing Samara few years ago?
  12. Cars are in general more expensive in Europe. We are paying $21,000 for VW GTI while Europeans are paying 29,000 euros ($39,000).
