Also this from Australia, but the discussion is likely applicable here and elsewhere, esp. looking at the current state of the Texas grid -

Sorry, I respectfully disagree. 1967 F100 was the best looking. But I could settle for the Eluminator. ?
When I see a '67-72, I always think of the movie "Mr. Majestyk", and THIS commercial:

Ford are showing this at SEMA, I wish there were some practical (read:affordable) way to offer something like this to the marketplace:
For me, the QUINESSENTIAL "Ford truck" will always be the '73-'79 body style..... with my favorite of those being the '77:

Ford's Mustang Mach-E can lose power while driving, forcing dealers to stop delivery
The recall affects 48,924 of the 2021-22 Mustang Mach-E electric vehicles, which could lose power while driving or do not start.
A majority of these vehicles, however, are already in customer driveways.

I’m picturing an ad where there’s a lightning bolt that strikes, and then you hear thunder and a bird starts flying around, and then out of the fog/clouds comes the new Thunderbird flying down the road toward the camera, and then it slowly pans around the whole vehicle until you’re at an upper rear 3/4 view and then it zips off with lightning coming off of it, and thunder noises as the ad ends.
It's 1977 again............

Won't argue that the Squarebird was butt-ugly. Plus it had the unfortunate job of following up the 55-57 two-seat Thunderbird. I despised it back then, mainly because it wasn't a two-seater. For that matter I don't care for it much today. The styling to me, just doesn't work. Both ostentatious and gaudy at the same time. I also agree that the 61-63 Bulletbirds were damn good looking. My favorite T-birds, after the 55-57 two-seaters.
Beauty's in the eye of the beholder, that's for sure. But I still think a modern interpretation of the Squarebird (with the awkward side lines and 'spear' details removed - agreed!) would exhibit some real badazz vibe(s). The ICE drivetrain would just be a nod to the retro-ish theme. We've got the next 100 years to listen to the whirring of appliance vehicle drivetrains. Let's have one last blast of some mellow "thump-thump" soundtrack before the party's truly over. ?

"...Adding those two extra seats in the back changed everything. Sales skyrocketed, and the all-new, bigger, roomier and more practical Thunderbird became the must-see car in Ford showrooms that year."

they are covered 3years /36Kmi-- no dirt roads--potholes- etc. problem is there are NO replacements available even in the aftermarket
Maybe try a salvage/junk yard then? That's crazy that parts for a high volume 2-year old Ford are unavailable!

Adbusters isn't a "radical environmental group", it is an anti-consumerist organization.
Definition of consumerism. Consumerism Definition & Meaning - Merriam-Webster
Thanks for the clarification - they appear to be an 'interesting' group, to be sure. For the record though, their website DOES claim that they are an 'Environmental Movement of the Mind'! ?
https://www.adbusters.org/articles-coded/environmental-movement-of-the-mind
Either way, radical environmentalists or anti-consumerists - they sound BAD for Ford, and all other vehicle producers.

Lord help us, if this idiotic phenomenon ever spreads over to this side of the pond....... ?
3/4 of the vehicles here in the States would be disabled!
Radical environmental group calls on activists to DEFLATE tires of SUVs in 'wealthy areas' to combat climate change
- Environmental group suggested to followers activists let down tires of SUVs
- Group known as Adbusters tweeted instructions how to let down the tires
- On average SUVs consume around a quarter more energy than medium-sized cars

Ford Motor Co is recalling 737,000 vehicles in the United States over a part that could develop an oil leak and a software error that could hinder braking, it said on Friday.

If these fuel prices (or higher) stick around, does Ford have any Asian/South American/East Euro ICE vehicles that would be a small-lift to Federalize, and that could be imported to at least offer some fuel efficient gasoline-based options?

Just as an FYI for those of us (myself originally included) who don't know what group/body of people sanctioned these awards:
https://triblive.com/news/wire-stories/ford-maverick-bronco-win-truck-utility-of-the-year-awards/
DETROIT — For the second year in a row, vehicles from Ford Motor Co. took two of the three North American Car, Truck and Utility of the Year awards.
The company’s Maverick compact pickup won truck of the year, while its Bronco off-road SUV earned the utility of the year. Honda’s redesigned Civic compact car won the car of the year.
Fifty automotive journalists from the United States and Canada are judges for the three awards, which are announced every January. They’re chosen from dozens of candidates and must be new or substantially changed for the current model year. Automakers often use the awards in advertising.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I'm kinda dating the ridiculously busy front ends on pickups, nowadays. My favorite pickups had that "honest day's work for an honest day's pay" look about them, which fits a lot of F-series and Rangers over the years.
I'm hoping it's very successful, but I'm also hoping there's a simplified facia option. Here's one of my all time faves! My Dad bought a brand new '76 F-100 Ranger (between Custom and XLT) in the same copper color as shown. It was beautiful. Had a very strong running (but thirsty!) 302 2bbl in it!
