  1. SmokaJoe, You haven't been here long but I have been telling these people for a LONG time that the buyouts were NOT going to get any higher. I personally think that you are not worth the current offer, let alone the past lucrative offers that many took. However, they are now available once again. If you are a Ford employee and would like to leave the company, take the current offer. You missed the best one already. If you dont want to take the current offer, go to work and quit your bitching. And produce quality work please.
  2. nvsked, I like you. You are the only one on this thread who actually acys like they have some facts to present. Do the work but make sure you stay within the budget the union said you could do it in. Otherwise, well, you know the otherwise. Also, just as a suggestion. Have your Skilled Trades bargaining commiteeperson try to develop a better relationship with the plant IE's. It may prove more fruitful in the future.
  3. C'mon people! Is anybody actually at the Sterling facility who knows the facts? Are any of you who are posting, and "threatening" strikes, actually employed at the Sterling facility? Your "understanding" is, that they are doing work that your M/W's and P/Frs should be doing? Give me a break! You asked me if I was actually a Ford employee and you dont even have the minor details about something you are "willing" to strike over? Wow. I guess I will have to quote one of our old "friends". WTF??? And, just so that there is no mis-understanding, Ford Motor Company blood has ran through my veins for my entire life! I have been posting in this "employee only" section for years now. You dont have even the basic facts about what you speak of and you want to question my employment status? Maybe this is an example of why the union has lost so much of it's clout. Grandmaster, you are certainly self proclaimed! I should have expected these knit-wit posts from somebody that has chosen a name like that. You are now to be re-named to Grandmaster Bater!
  4. I have to say; you guys provide a lot of laughs for some of us. One question Grandmaster, "what turnip truck did you fall off of?" Get your facts. Your international union has not authorized you to do squat! You go on strike, you get fired! It's that simple.
  5. The government will absolutely come to the aid of the big 3. The ironic part is going to be that George Bush will be instrumental in the whole thing. The one who the UAW hates the most will be the one who ultimately provides them the relief they seek.
  6. I have been quiet for a long time but I think that it is time to add a couple of remarks. I have been critical of the UAW for taking sides in political elections for a long time. The results of the bailout proposal are exactly why you should never have gotten into politics. You cannot spend millions of dollars supporting democrats and openly campaigning against republicans and then expect the republicans to throw you a bone when you are down and out. The UAW will go down in history as the reason for the domestic auto industry failure. This is a fact. It is already happening and the national radio stations are talking about it today. Now, you can say F*ck them, I dont care, or its managements fault, or whatever you like, but the refusal of the UAW to take consessions in order to save their industry will be what is written in the history books. The domestic auto sales will also continue to slide. The American public has been very attentive to what has been going on and they are outraged by what is being viewed as greed by the UAW workforce. When the economy picks back up, and it will; the domestic auto industry will continue to struggle because of the way the workers of the big 3 are viewed by the people of this country. The people will not support you by buying our cars. That is, assuming that there will even be a domestic auto industry. I personally doubt that there will be much of one after this. Now, write up all of the f*ck you paris's you want. It wont change these facts.
  7. Oh come on now Critic, Who have I ever "purported" to be? Have you ever heard me tell anything that I heard in that bathroom you mention? Im not trying to "cause some type of dissention". I like to give the people who try to pass themselves off as "in the know" a hard time. Level is only the latest. I have to admit, most of the things he tells you are factual. I just dont like some of these guys who mislead people. I might be an asshole, but, I wont come on here and feed you bullsh*t. I actually do like Level. :shades: He is so entertaining with some of his responses. Especially when he gets upset. He spends too much of his time on that computer though. Oops. Maybe I work at AAI too. Maybe not though. By the way, we all know you have been here much longer than your "Critic" "sign in date".
  8. Wait a minute, Is this the same level that told everyone he isn't an Irep? Are you saying now that you are?( by Irep, you dont have to be a servicing rep to have this title) You were "promoted" to this new position? I thought you guys voted for your leaders? Hey Level, are you a company fu*k? Why do I feel as though we have had this conversation b4? :shades: Are you certain that I am not on your new site? Are you certain that I am NOT an Irep? I know that is a lot to digest. You threw me for a loop with the promoted comment. Please answer.
  9. Level you are a lying piece of crap! You guys are watching I.P. addresses like they are gold plated. Don't come back on BON and try to tell people you are not. The instant Furious1Auto can prove that an I.P. address (VISITED) you guy's site from a computer in Dearborn, he and YOU will tell the world. I know how your game is working. I can't even visit your site without my I.P. showing up. Do you really think that I am that stupid? I haven't said anything about it because it hasn't been an issue. But, I will now! What people need to understand about YOUR site and all other web sites for that matter, are that you can't really tell who the person is that has clicked onto your site but, you can get their I.P. address. With that address you can tell many things about that person. The town that the computer's server is located in, is only one of many things that can be seen. This is what I am talking about Level. Don't come on here and try to lie to these people about it. You are watching I.P addresses and people dont think they have been seen because they didn't actually set up a user name and password. They don't realize that they don't have to, for you to know where they are from. Now, As far you "never agreeing with asshole paris", that is one reason you will likely stay there where you are. Should I mention your plant? You wont make it to the position you covet with your attitude the way it is right now.
  10. The politicians actually understand more than you give them credit for. The reality of the political world is that the vast majority of their supporters do not sympathize with the plight of the domestic auto industry. It still boils down to the premise that this country was born upon. Free competition and survival of the fittest. The bulk of the general public see the issues with the domestic players in all of the varied industries. They actually understand much more than you give them credit for. You have to understand that when the bulk of the people decide to make a major purchase such as an automobile, they base their decision to purchase on the same criteria that you or I would. What can I buy to get the most for my money? They then proceed to check out all available products and make a decision based strictly on "the most for the money" premise without any regard for the plight of the industry based here in the United States. Why do they do that? Why don't they have the loyalty to the country and to the domestic manfacturers that we think they should? The fact is, they never have had that type of attitude. The general public has, and will always make a purchasing decision based upon what they percieve to be the greatest value for the money they are able to spend. The reason that we had an extreemely high market share years ago was simply the fact that there were very limited choices if you needed a new vehicle. Now there are many. As you mentioned, the same thing happened to the appliance industry. There are very few left. The politicians didn't sympathize with them too much either. It's because the general public doesn't sympathize with them. If Suzuki offers a 7 year, 100K mile warranty, the public expects us all to follow that lead. Managing the risks accociated with the potential warranty costs for some of those programs has been something that we have not been able to do. Nor do I percieve us being able to provide some of those offers in the future. To make matters worse, the domestic auto industry in particular is viewed through a magnifying glass by the general public. The wages you make. The benefits you recieve. The general work conditions that our workers have, are all looked upon as excessive. Like it or not, these are true statements. Whenever a new contract is negotiated, the general public has complete access to all of the information. The people know exactly how much money each of you make. They also know the extent of the benefit package you recieve. They look at the price of our vehicle and say, "Im not paying extra for a domestic vehicle so I can fund those people's cush lifestyles". Again, these are facts and not just a way for me to make it look like it's the union's fault. What we have to do is to look at the situation through eyes that can trully see the realities of it. Don't ever expect the general public to purchase one of our vehicles because they are helping out the country, or the domestic industry. People just don't think that way. We must as a group, change the perspective of the general public in this country. We are not a bunch of overpaid people looking to the american public for sympathy. We must convey the message that our products are in fact, better quality than our competition. Do you guys remember the commercial that was on television a while back that was saying that Ford is "now equal to Toyota in quality"? Im telling you that if I had my way, I would have fired every one of those people on that marketing team that developed that slogan. And, the people who authorized it to be aired on television! The fact is, we have produced the same quality vehicle, or better than Toyota for years. That commercial only made it look like every person who bought one of our vehicles up until that point, had something inferior. Yes, that pissed me off. Look at the Germans. They have had their share of quality issues with all of their vehicles. BMW has problems with their cars running on Ethanol. They bring $100K vehicles to the service department on flatbed trucks that wont run at all because their owner pumped gas into the car that contained Ethanol. Have you ever heard of that? Hell no you haven't. And, you wont. Because they know that perception means everything. Doesn't everybody know that BMW sets the standard for everybody else? Of course they do. What you dont know is that their service departments are full all of the time! Perception. They don't run out and tell the world that they have problems. They don't tell thier neighbors that their cars are junk. They don't sit in bars telling everyone how much money they make and how little they have to do. Their whole industry is exactly the same as ours. They have as many or more problems as we do. You just percieve that they don't. What we need to focus on is how each of us can bring the perception to our company that we want it to have. Don't wave your paychecks in front of your neighbors. Don't sit in the bar with your company uniform on as though you are still on the clock. It comes from all of us. Change the perception now, because the company is on par with the rest of the industry in every other way. Including value!
  11. Wow Level, Way to beat up on a fellow union brother! Did you get his I.D. from the new site that you and Furious1Auto started? Posts like this will make everyone want to come to your "member only site". Kinda gives folks a warm and fuzzy feeling. That'll bring em to ya.
  12. Level, I thought you and Furious were done with BON. Is it upsetting you that many people wont log onto your site? You really can't blame them for not wanting their I.P. addresses traced, can you?
