  1. This is precisely why I always have my customer come into the dealership to go over, point by point, their order. It can easily uncover errors or omissions and and will alert us to any factory changes, for example the deletion of this customer's console. The Lincoln.com website is not the easiest to navigate for those who are not familiar with it. Plus, I always have the order guide handy to verify everything which the customer can then sign off on in my presence. Makes me wonder how the manufacturers pushing for "ORDER IT FROM HOME AND HAVE IT DELIVERED TO YOU" can avoid these kinds of errors. Just my opinion.
  2. Actually per the 2023 Order Guide, The Driver Seat is 10-Way and the Passenger Seat is 8-Way.
  3. I thought the car wasn't being shipped until Februay of 2020? How did this one get on the street? The first one, 0001 VIN was just sold for $3,000,000, and it was only a pre-production model for show only, purchased by Rick Hencrick. Detroit Free Press said the actual car will be built in February.???
  4. FYI in the 2020 MKZ the Panoramic roof is a stand alone option. The standard 200A includes the regular moonroof, but the option exists to change to the Pano roof. The upgrade requires the Elements Package (63D) however.
  5. What am I missing here? Lincoln already does this with pickup and delivery service, bringing you a car to use and taking yours in for service, cleaning it after service, and returning it to you. And its a free service.
  6. Check out today's Detroit News (Feb 7th) There are a bunch of pictures of the new Expedition. It was unveiled today.
  7. I guess if you're looking to plow your way through a herd of cattle like the old time steam locomotives, that ugly front will come in kinda handy.
  8. As the saying goes, you can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig.
  9. Blah Blah Blah from all you LS lovers. I had one as well, and really liked it. However to try to compare that vehicle to the new MKZ is ridiculous. I drove the new 3.0T and it is a beautiful engine, especially at higher speed. The low response is also quite nice. As for it not being "germanic"- who cares? It's a sporty luxury sedan, not an Autobahn flier. It compares quite well against the new Cadillac, which is where I think it's aimed. You want a "germanic feel? Go Benz or BMW. I personally prefer comfort over road noise and feel, and the "snob appeal" aspect of both is just so much phoniness. We all know the difference between a porcupine and a BMW/Benz driver, don't we?
  10. I had the car for three years- I lease, I don't buy cars. Buying is not a prudent business decison when it comes to depreciable assets. I merely posted what I did to show that you're trumpeting old, rear wheel drive technology does not make that technology what every car should be. I grew up driving rear wheel drive cars here is the East. I started with all wheel drive vehicles (front wheel bias) in the late 90's and have been a fan ever since. I also think that you overlook all the new technology in current vehicles which make driving safer and easier. Big RWD vehicles are dinosaurs, and I don't have the need to feel the big rush of rear wheel drive which you feel is a big part of enjoying the driving process.
  11. Okay, here goes. 2006LS, not a single problem. 2008 AWD MKZ, not a single problem. 2010 MKZ AWD, not a single problem. 2012 MKZ AWD, not a single problem. 2, yes 2, 2013 MKZ's, not a single problem. Now, 2, yes 2 2016 MKZ's AWD, not a single problem Now LincolnLover, I can state unequivocally, just like you have, that the MKZ AWD has NO problems. Not my opinion, just fact. Okay?
  12. I am in shock. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect to see a positive review for a domestic vehicle, much less a Lincoln. I guess all the negative stuff about SYNC has died down? Funny that I never had one of my customers complain about SYNC but everyone CR contacted hated it ....HMMMM> Anyway, great to see we're being positively presented.
  13. Hey troops. I was asked by a customer today if there is any way to disable the interior lights to prevent them from coming on when the doors are opened. I tried the Vehicle Settings mode, no luck. The button down by the headlight switch only dims but does not stop them from coming on. My MKZ has the on off switch by the moonroof controls but there is nothing like that for the Explorer. Short of removing a fuse, anybody got any ideas? Thanks.
