  1. We bought a 2019 Escape at peak incentives and A-plan at the end of April '19. This is after the 2020 Escape had been shown and I was firmly in the NO column for it. I don't care for the looks of the 2020 especially the nose. The Corsair looks fantastic, but feels smaller than my Escape and is REALLY expensive. We're really happy with our Escape, and I wanted specific features as well. The 2.0L Ecoboost, pano-roof, lane-departure/distonic cruise. I didn't even realize our Escape didn't have the paddle shifters until after we left the dealership with ours, highly unlikely to use them long term anyway. It does have the manual shifter switch on the side of the center console gear selector. I think I've used it 2-3 times. I nearly purchased a leftover 18 Escape, but it was missing the adaptive cruise and the dealer wouldn't come down enough on it, out of A-plan age. I do prefer the 18 taillights, but I'm happy with mine.
  2. Been a long time since I considered ordering a vehicle. As a non-fleet customer I've got until 5/16 to order a 2019 Escape??? Not really a fan of the 2020 design and they still don't have a production timeline of "Baby Bronco/Maverick" nor final production form. Bronco and Baby Bronco development seems to be taking forever! -Former NAP employee.
  3. I'm sure the new NAFTA 2.0 and Trump will save you. LOL The sky is NOT falling.... yet. At least wait till the mid-term elections are over.
  4. The mileage you got in the Taurus is impressive given that 27mpg is it's EPA highway rating. Your EcoSport is still pretty new, especially mileage wise, you might still see mpg improvement going forward. Also physics plays a HUGE roll in mileage. The "BIG" engine in the Taurus doesn't have to work very hard (rpm/hp/torque) to move the car and it will lump along at 1800 rpm at 45-50mph. The EcoSport weighs about 600-1000lbs less than the Taurus (depending on how equipped) The EcoSport with it's tiny 1.0L 3 cylinder engine has to work a LOT harder to move that mass more rpms = more fuel burn. Tons of other factors involved as well. #quityourbitching
  5. Here's the latest on the 2020 Explorer in Police Interceptor guise...... https://www.caranddriver.com/news/this-is-the-new-2020-ford-explorerin-cop-car-form
  6. Thank you. They're 'surprised' by the build date as the dealer had given them a significantly different timeline.
  7. My father a retired Ford Motor employee would appreciate a status update on their 2015 Ford Explorer. VIN: 1FM5K8D88FGC69373 Thanks. I'm a former Ford Motor employee having received a buyout package from NAP. -Steve

  9. Yes, but that was because you were interested in buying a Focus. If you were interested in a F150, Expedition or SuperDuty I'm sure they would have bent over backwards to make a deal. Fuel efficent vehicles are 'popular' now because gas prices have gone up, just as Explorers were popular when gas was $1.25.
  10. Hey, Hey, Hey, I just took a look at this thread. Notice the design theme, that nearly matches the future Taurus. The lower-intake the hood lines and even the headlights have simliar design language.
  11. Hey, could someone remind me how much was/is the federal tax withholding on the $100,000 buyout check? I did the M99 W-4 and just filed my taxes and wondering if I saved anything. In the interim I earned about $3,000 in interest. Thanks.
  12. I made sure to right click and save this time. Looks good..... but this thread will disapear soon.
  13. I like it. I see the new F150 grille in the grille of this Taurus. The mesh with the bar design looks better IMO then that of the Edge or Flex.
  14. Didn't see the other post. Mods feel free to delete this thread.
  15. They've added some character lines to the entire body and bed and put the SuperChief concept grille the front end. The interior shot makes it appear very very busy with a LOT of buttons. The pictures are of a Supercrew, to me the cabin space appears larger especially noticed longer appearing front doors. The pictures are over at www.thecarconnection.com Wow sorry about that..... must already be thinking about thanksgiving pie..... It's spy shots! DOH
