  1. The actual design. While I agree "not much changed," it is those very small details that watered down the production version.
  2. I always thought that if FMC would have stayed true to the Freestyle FX concept sales would have been better. The production version was just too watered down in my opinion. That being said I do like the Flex.
  3. :poke: :reading: Anticipation . . . . And since you are waitng and probably would LOVE to spend more money, there is a FR500 intake on ebay.com for $2500 and a set of FR500 heads (but seems to have 99 cams.) Tempting, tempting . . . Hope the wait isn't too bad.
  4. How's your wait coming along? Did the parts make it to the shop or still on back order?
  5. Thanks for the compliments. I do not want to hijack Nick's thread about his Cobra with additional images of my Mach, so here is a link to some additonal photos of my Mach (older wheels with DRs and newer with BBS.) (I hope you do not mind, Nick. If you do I will remove link.) And I am 34. I should have my strut tower brace on this week. http://forums.bradbarnett.net/gallery/brow...mp;userid=88390
  6. Oh my . . . I'll take the top Black one with an Ecoboost 3.5 and AWD please . . .
  7. Nice weather can be a bitch sometimes!! :yup: :burnout:
  8. I love Lamboghinis and the GT. The 5.4 engine in the GT is simply a wonderful engine that can handle amazing power. To be able to throw on a couple "Twins" for 1000+hp on the stock block is amazing. http://www.heffnersperformance.com/fordgt850turbopackage.htm http://www.heffnersperformance.com/images/...ttgallardo1.jpg
  9. Thanks and nice looking Cobra! With a '97 and a tubular K-member will you have to get an oil filter relocation kit? Sounds like our 'goals' for our cars are relatively similar. Though I'm shooting for low-mid 12's as opposed to 11's . . . . but if she happens to run 11's I won't complain! I've gone 12.9s on stock engine/trans/gear on DRs and am wanting to tighten her up more and drop weight before I head under the hood. I've got new 4.10s in a box but haven't put them in (debating a T56 Cobra R spec and 4.30s in the future.) Think I am just going to get a rear seat delete and aluminium drive shaft this season.
  10. Yeah, keep us posted on your suspension 'stuff'. Here is what I have for my Mach . . . . with more to follow. My full list of suspension/chassis mods include . . Welded PAE Full Length Sub-Frame Connectors Vogtland Springs Maximum Motorsports 4-Bolt CC Plates Maximum Motorsports Adj. Lower Control Arms Maximum Motorsports 4-Bolt K-Member Brace Welded Steeda Rear Shock Tower Brace 2pt Steeda Strut Tower Brace (To Be Installed very soon.) I do plan some additional mods in the future including . . Maximum Motorsports Panhard Bar Bilstein Possible Maximum Motorsports K-member/coil-over front setup But I am very happy/pleased with my current setup . . . for now. Post some pictures of your Cobra when you get a chance!
  11. I used to own it as well! :shades: I just took a 600 trip in my vulcan 3.0 Taurus and averaged 31mpg @ ~70mph over many elevation changes. Heck, for the first tank I averaged 34 mpg @ 70mph. It should be noted that was on 93 octane as I have switched over to 91-93 octane on my last two daily driver cars as they approached 100K miles. I sold the Explorer at 215K miles still running strong and switched my current Taurus over to 91-93 at about 85K (have 118K now).
  12. Yup, under SVT Cobra 2007, but also states . . I know it's just a name as the GT500 is a SVT as opposed to the Shelby GT which is "finished" out west.
  13. Overshadowed by the name change from SVT Mustang Cobra to Ford Shelby GT500.
  14. It is for me, and maybe I am in the minority because I am certainly not old. It looks good to me, and I would seriously consider one based on these photos as opposed to the '08 Taurus. If pricing stays consistent with current Taurus, I will look at one for a daily driver . . . . possibly.
  15. The G8 has an initial run of 888 and each G8 is marked, so 777 is fine. Though I am not sure if the 888s include v6s and v8s.
  16. Now that's nice!! What size turbo are you running?
  17. WOW, never knew I qualified. I've had three '86 5.0 Capris. Loved those cars, especially the '85-'86s. Always thought they were a little more aggressive than the Mustangs of '85-'86. Probably not a good idea to bring the car back. Too many iterations over the years to mean anything to anyone (Euro Capri, Fox Capri, Mazda Capri.)
