  1. I drove a Loaded Reserve today. Amazing. Can’t wait to drive GT BL. As for people from other brands buying it. It’s going to conquest so many BMW’s and MB it will make your heads spin. The details and the way it drives and rides with the dynamic suspension....well it was amazing. After 17 Range Rovers and Jags our next car is a GT BL.
  2. So if Ford executives read this, you all need to fix this situation. It turns out that only one Expedition in the configuration we want exists in a four state area. The dealer in Peoria, Ill. won't let the car go to the Chicago dealer until a car that is in transit can be used to "pay" for the trade. THIS IS INSANE! So a customer is held hostage because two dealers can't work out a simple trade on a product? MY RESPONSE. You just lost a $60k transaction as I now go to Jeep. Seriously, this is how Ford Dealers do business?
  3. Why is it so difficult to find a 2015 Expedition Plat near Chicago? Who can help me find the following car:
  4. Oh and the Range Rover has a rattle. Lol. Nothing is perfect.
  5. Yeah. The car is a blast to drive and for the money nothing comes close. I've owed many Fords in my life. Thunderbird SC. What a car. Anyway Richard you get to caught up in posting BS. I never compared a $118k car to the Focus. The Focus ST is a terrific car. But I want better. I want Ford to be even better. Like when I bought $100k worth of Ford stock at $1.83 when everyone thought I was nuts. I put my money where my mouth is. You need look no further than the train wreak that is Lincoln. Left Lane News gives the MKZ a C. A goddamn C isn't going to cut it. So I hope in some twisted way that on a cold snowy night like tonight Jim Farley is bored off his ass and reading posts from people that want Ford to be BETTER! And while I can pick any car I want I want Ford to be better than everyone else!
  6. The dealer is installing a camera and reverse sensors next week. There the factory items. Most of you continue to miss the point to this argument so lets just move on. MyFordTouch has so many bugs they should be embarrassed. The type over the volume section is just terrible. So it's showing the song and the volume bars at the same time. It's a mess. Why on earth you have to find a narrow area for each of the four sections to change it when all you should be able to do is hit one of the four areas within their respective windows is really bad. But the worst has got to be the worst car stereo made. I'm having all the speakers replaced along with some goddamn amplification. Sony should be replaced. So the Range has 19 speakers and I'm spoiled but Ford has such an opportunity to add options that guys like me would buy in a minute and instead we get mass market crap. It's a great car but I always get out and say boy could it be better for not a ton more money.
  7. So boneheads. Listen up. Those of who say you don't need a backup camera haven't driven the car. Also when you've had cars that have had them for 5 plus years its a behavioral thing. It's really hard to break a habit. The car s a nightmare to see out of. The back hatch glass is prob a foot away from the bumper. Anyway the dealer is installing the camera and Ford speced backup sensors in a week. Got home last night from being gone a week and the car was at the airport. I was so looking forward to getting into it. While I was gone in Florida I drove a loaded 300c and the uconnect system is so much better than myfordtouch. The myfordtouch has serious software flaws while using a Bluetooth connected iphone. Uconnect was flawless.
  8. It's so fun to drive I can't say enough about it. I'm pissed I have to go bye something for the reverse sensing. What a totally stupid thing Ford did with this item. So does anyone know if the reverse sensors fr the non ST version can be applied to the ST?
  9. Ok guys your missing the point. I mean the car stickers for almost $30k and while I don't know the average age of the driver of a Focus ST I'm 45 and I want all the toys. Here's what it needs. Rear cameras, blind spot warning, stereo sucks, the knobs on the climate control are for I guess 6 year olds. Dying for paddle shifters. Other than that I'm happy. I got the blue.
  10. PackageST3 doesn't include rear camera or rear sensors. There isn't an option this car doesn't have.
  11. So I bought Focus ST yesterday. The dealership experience was let's just say interesting. Call me a snob but after buying our new Range Rover Supercharged two weeks ago over the phone this was a nightmare. As for the car. It's amazing. I like it better than the XFR. Lol. Only thing I don't get and perhaps I just didn't know this. No backup camera or sensors. I forget to look because I'm so used to that feature.
  12. I forgot to add - the overall dealer experience, horrible. From start to finish, what a trainwreak. I mean, ok, I'm used to buying Jaguar's and Range Rovers but the overall sales process - Mark Fields - are you listening was a distaster.
  13. Bought an 2011 Escape Hybrid tonight. I really can't drive the XFR when it snows more than a few inches and I have to drive 60 miles a day to and from a new job ...so... I wanted a decent size SUV/Crossover but one that wasn't huge. Love this thing....the Nav System is so much better than the piece of junk in my XFR...it's terrific. Anyway, it's a limited and it's loaded. Overall, it's a great little SUV.
  14. You guys are like a bunch of old woman....STICK TO THE TOPIC..first, Richard, you're dead wrong as usual. Back in 2000/2001 our old pal Wolfgang Retizel (sp) had a plan that was presented to the FMC board...for $1 billion he could remake Lincoln. They said no. It wouldn't take a couple of billion but it would take some serious cash. Ford finds themselves in the same cyclical nonsense with Lincoln that they were in until recently with the blue oval. Make cars people want. Not a bunch of marketing nonsense - make cars people want and take some risk. But before I talk about that....as for Jaguar, every current car is a Ford and let me tell you, I'll smoke most anything in my '10 XFR. It's a beast that is a dream to drive. Tata will do ok with JLR but it takes seriously deep pockets - the 2000 RR cost BMW $1.8 billion to develop - and the new RR will cost at least $500 million given it's going to share the XJ's alum. tech. But this nonsense that I as a Jag owner would drive or crossshop a Lincoln for a Jaguar - insane....I have no reason to step into a Lincoln showroom. I mean, if I bought a standard XF or XJ - still no reason to buy a Lincoln. Lincoln could be a higher profitable volume brand but lets face it - Jag buyers don't really crossshop Lincoln's or hell even BMW's - not our style, we're more MB like. What the hell do Lincoln buyers crossshop? Do you know how many cars that are BMW's, MB's and Audi's sell for $35-55K? A huge percentage. The price point isn't a reason why people buy BMW's or MB's..it's the total package, customer experience and here's the most important - THE ACTUAL PRODUCT. No offense, but an MKS, MKZ??? Seriously - why? It's junk. Buy a fully loaded SHO, now that's a package I'd buy but an MKS? Good lord, the car screams boring. I drove a new MKX and it's nice but still no A5 or BMW X5/X6. Lexus - the brand will never get back to the level it was and the reason is that you have too many other products that are simply better. Now Lincoln. Lincoln must have money pumped into it long-term and Ford understands this....but it's taken Jaguar 10+ years to come to a place that it's just now going to become a niche brand that can consistently make money on a small volume with...here's a shocker - products people want to buy. Guess who's buying XJ's? MB owners of S classes - You have to have product that people want. Hell, Caddy's ATS will be a 3 Series fighter. Now, I have no idea if it will be any good but they learned with the SLS/STS - that's no Sclass. The autoextremist says it best. Stop trying to make Lincoln an Acura or Lexus....And make Lincoln into a brand people actually want.
  15. Well now that we've had the lesson in Detroit Geography (who the fxxx cares about Detroit Dealerships) lets get back to the topic. Here's the way I see this: Lincoln is never going to be the brand they need it to be without rear wheel drive luxury. Period. I find it surprising that nothing has come out for a new rear wheel drive platform to make new Lincolns along with the nextgen Mustang and FOA's Falcons. Without it, the brand will never be considered against BMW, MB and even future Caddy's. And this insane notion that Lincoln can be near luxury is another bullxxxx idea that you need look no further than Volvo to see what that marketing distaster represents. While I get why Ford got rid of PAG and my beloved Jaguar, Ford didn't get rid of the ability to engineer such a world class RWD platform. Ford is done an excellent job recently of learning from their past sins and they know what a luxury brand needs to be. You can't be a hit in this space without a modular RWD platform.
  16. has not set their status

  17. Best Ford Press Conference I've ever seen. I mean, these guys have this down...that was impressive, well thoughtout, interesting and showcased a company..not just a car....BRAVO!!!!!
  18. Overall - This car is pretty stunning. The quality of the execution is pretty amazing actually....it oozes quality and it also just took allot of folks who thought about buying a Fusion and put them in a Focus..the size of the sedan looks huge. The width of the car is something that surprises me..it's so much wider, the stance is so much more modern, aka BMW or MB, that I can't think of a Ford product that went from what it's old width was to this in a generation. Can't wait to buy it...I'd want the five door hatch...
