Someone on ttac.com said "I think they will now bring out a Chevelle/Monte Carlo in Camaro's place". But pure wishfull thinking, and it's how rumors start. Actual paying customers are needed, if "car guy products" are to succeed. But also, it's not the old days when base, LT or RS models could sell to average folks, to support the line. 40 years ago, 1979 ["malaise era" I hate term, btw], was Camaro's sales height, not 1969 as some would assume. And now, those who want "something nice looking", but not into performance, get a CUV, instead of a coupe.

These last "new" Avengers were maybe found in a field somewhere, leftovers from a defunct Dodge dealer, almost forgotten, and sold for parts? ;-)

It was most likely a 'dealer demo' car used for loaners, never titled as "new". Finally sold with a used car price, but titled as "first owner". Happens all the time. Ford will have lots of loaner Focuses/Fiestas listed in the next few years sold as "new"

Other auto companies don't want the F and C in FCA. Chrysler will be in brand graveyard soon. Fiat is secretly packing bags to leave the USA.

"White space" vehicles was another "bone" for Wall St. I hope Hackett is out on the street soon! My big beef with Mark Fields is, on his watch, Ford didn't do anything about the DCT to keep customers. Just saying "you should have bought a truck" drains sales for the future.

Ford bosses were eager to boost stock price, so they said "cars are dead" to please Wall St. Meanwhile Asian makes "have no plans" to cancel cars. The late Sergio M at FCA started the domino effect when killed Dart/200 and acted like "if you are too cheap to buy a truck, we don't want your business". Sure, can say "sour grapes" to car business, but parking a 4 -door pickup [which Ford expect people to sign their life savings away] in the city, where many young adults live, is a b^^ch. Also, ride share drivers are getting business in Asian cars. I take back saying that "maybe it was a good idea" to drop cars, not anymore.

Smart Phone connectivity is now #1 priority with new car buyers, not "does it got a V8?". {I know it's not a fact, just seems like that's all people brag about} ;-)
