  1. The Transit Connect most likely would windup being leased as a fleet vehicle?
  2. Holy crap look at the Torque range on the the I4...just like the V6 Ecoboost...nice....
  3. Well Ford did build Jeeps in WW2, so they might be immune to it! Ford did look at buying Jeep in the 1990's though. But they need more SUV's like they need a hole to the head!
  4. That can be said of many people, educated or not. Just having a college degree doesn't make you "smart" Too many people don't have common sense....
  5. I have to agree with you on that, too bad most people's responses are, what is in it for me and what do I get out of the deal.... How ever I think that GM will survive in some form, just a much smaller form then it is now. I doubt it will fade out into the sunset and their will still be a domestic industry, namely lead by Ford.
  6. They haven't driven the New Taurus yet...have they? The 2010 Mustang stops fine vs its competition...haven't seen anyone bitch about 2010 Fusion brakes nor the Focus
  7. Nope its grayed out...I think its something to do with the adaptive cruise control http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index...t=0&start=0 Anyone know what size the 20 inch tires are going to be? I checked Tirerack and if you get 255/45 20inch tires, they are cheaper then the 255/45 19 inch tires!
  8. SHO Performance Package Performance Brake Pads, EPAS Calibrated Steering, ESC Track Mode/True Off, 3.16 Final Drive Ratio, 20" Premium Painted Wheels with Performance Summer Tire Compound & Tire Mobility Kit4,5 Though the werid thing is that you can't get the SHO Performance package on the 402A quick spec that has bunch of additional options on it....
  9. No where the Current Taurus has issues with its braking power Does it really need it?
  10. I think it was the 99MY due to the increased power of the 99 4.6L and the T45 being a POS
  11. Since when did the F150 share a transmission with the Mustang? That about makes as much sense as saying the Focus won't have a manual becauce of the Fusion
  12. Your playing up all the positives without any of the Negatives...like who the hell wants to buy a car from a company that went bankrupt? There is going to be alot of people thinking twice before they do that. There is going to be alot of harm done to GM when they go/get out of Bankruptcy.
  13. Um care to back that up? Gotta love this one from our own Taxman 100 he posted:
  14. I don't think so, we are more likely to see a 4 door T6 then a new Explorer Sport Trac
  15. From what people have said on here, the Durashift transmissions won't be able to handle that much torque for awhile, unless you want to drop big money on one. I remember reading that the Audi R8 had one and the owner was really disappointed with it.
  16. I'm shocked that they even used the EXP as testbed...the EXP was just an Escort Coupe with different sheetmetal...must have been fun fitting a V6 in the backseat! I wonder how well the EXP sold in the day....I remember the first gens where pretty hideous looking Though the really interesting thing besides the engine winding up in the Taurus was the development Team went on to work on the Bronco II replacement...the Explorer....Ford hit lighting twice in a short period of time...the Taurus then the Explorer.
  17. I guess they are finally catching on...I've seen more and more of them but nearly 3K units in this rotten economy is pretty damn good for it. Maybe once things improve it will go to 4-5K units a month
  18. I remember when I first started getting into cars back when I was a teenager...I LOVED this concept from Ford...It was going to be built in France and go for something like 30K back then....well at least the engine lived on to become the 1st Gen Taurus SHO, another great car in its own right. http://blogs.automobilemag.com/6470487/ant...-sho/index.html The funny thing is the Roush prototypes are lacking the SVO style spoiler that was on some of the mules running around at the time
  19. Well the Limo is based on a heavy duty truck now!
  20. Better watch out for the Black Helicopters coming your way  The Feds doing what they are doing to GM and Chrysler and applying that to Ford is downright stupid...its almost akin to them taking over Apple or Google if they had a bad quarter or two
