  1. I drove a Loaded Reserve today. Amazing. Can’t wait to drive GT BL. As for people from other brands buying it. It’s going to conquest so many BMW’s and MB it will make your heads spin. The details and the way it drives and rides with the dynamic suspension....well it was amazing. After 17 Range Rovers and Jags our next car is a GT BL.

  2. Of course Ford would base their vehicle design off the ugliest, dorkiest looking motorcycles on the road; if only Ford knew Moped was a thing, we could have had something really inspired!

  3. They will get this to the LARGEST auto market in the world with 50KM range, the US version is tuned for performance, because performance sells. The big market you speak of has a much lower speed limit (50 on the National Highways, and a whopping 60 on the freeway), and very few roads where you can open it up (been there) Prius speed is much more the norm, If they tuned the Aviator in the US for distance over twist, they would sell far less. I love performance and economy, but given the option, I'll take performance over economy. I have been to a few advanced driving schools. It is far easier to accelerate out of trouble than brake into a mess. I'll bet if you take this fully charged on a nice flat road and set cruise at 50 with no electronics, it would get 31 miles. I'll try it when mine arrives.

  4. You take the cab off. Been doing it since the 6.0 came out. My tech friend can have the cab off a 6.0 S.Duty in 1.5 hours.

  5. Lets see, the guy in charge of the Aviator Grand Touring design says its primarily about performace... the said GTs hybrid system adds 94 Hp and 215 lb-ft of torque over the gas only models (more torque added than some cars make)... even with the optional performance exhaust the new mid engine Corvette Stingray only makes 1 HP more and a full 160 lb-ft less than the GT... so it sure appears like the value added is awesome performance, with the additional benefit of gas free short trips and better overall mpg in hybrid mode. I have one ordered and yes I was hoping for the full tax credit and a little better range, but the recently announced hp/torque increase was a really nice surprise that helps to make up for it!!! And the true SLA front suspension over the new Explorer's McPherson Struts is another performance oriented surprise!!! I can't wait to see the full final specs, EPA ratings, and road tests that should be coming soon.

  7. fordpartner.com MCA code is MC405 (google is your friend) You have to join a club to get a pin for purchase, but you can see the pricing. Read the rules also, as there are terms about using the program and how to use it. Ask your dealer if they except xplan, they either are or are not. They don't get to choose which vehicles get or don't get. Ford does that with all of the special performance line like raptors and GT 350 and Gt 500. It's all there in the program rules.

  8. I live in Michigan and would love a cooled seat option

  9. Disappointed in the changes for 2020. I won't be ready to get one until then and wanted the hot pepper red and was hoping they would wake up and add a cooled seat option. Not everyone lives in Michigan. Down here in Texas I couldn't care less about a heated seat.

  10. Those are virtually the same numbers as the 7.3 had stock in Super Duty. With 4 speed automatics. Remember GM twins have the only clean sheet diesel here. They moved their bar towards efficiency. FCA and Ford would rather tow more but they are using existing engines that happen to fit between the frame rails and meet NVH requirements. If they were just chasing MPG numbers they would be smaller and less capable most likely. These things are to satisfy the "gotta have a diesel" option, nothing more. There is no real reason to buy one.

  11. Not sure where you are getting your 1500 from, I just ran the numbers of a loaded Black Label GT and it was 1195 and 995 for a loaded GT Reserve. (10% down) The Bimmer was 1351 on a 36/12 with 10% down. It is 1579 an month for a 4 Year loan at 2.9% this is on a GT after tax incentives. I used the X-Plan numbers on the Aviator since anyone can get XPlan

  12. http://www.campaign.ford.com/content/lincolnmedia/lna/us/en/news/2019/08/13/lincoln-top-luxury-brand-autopacific-awards-navigator-top-vehicle.html Lincoln is kicking major a** lately, many said it would never happen... but their climb back to relevance, even to the top, has been nothing short of amazing. And the Aviator, without any doubt, do even better!!!

  13. On a 2012 Escape, the blower motor is easily replaced. There is no reason for them to touch anything related to The refrigerant. Let us know what they diagnose the issue as.

  14. The C8 is replacing a C7 and I drive less than 10k miles per year in it. Our "family" vehicle is driven @ twice as many miles per year - far more important. And the biggest misconception is that going "green" means giving up everything. Last several years I have added 39 solar panels - over 10kWh system on my house. Heat pump water heater etc. Everything for the house has been the most efficient you can buy - has radiant heat with a boiler that is so efficient that it vents out of pvc pipe. And for the record the C7 has "eco" mode that deactivates 4 cylinders , 7 speed Manuel transmission, so on the freeway I get over 30 mpg. So I am all for having "fun" AND being environmentally conscious.

  15. I wondered how long it would be for the naysayers to chime in. This is the new system Hackett has put into place, which means it started about two years ago. But of course I expect nobody will actually watch this interview.

  17. We decided on the Navigator Reserve and ordered before they were in showrooms. We ordered the bench and have been extremely pleased with it since our kids are 2 and 3, my wife can jump back there if needs be. My wife hated the look of the Expy interior, she thought it looked like a truck and it does. The HUD was so worth it as was the 30 way seats. Our dealer is amazing and we have made same day appointments without issue and gotten the loaner driven to us. The loaner drop of feature was a big selling point for us since I’m a stay at home dad, sitting at the dealer is a no go. If I get stuck with a smaller suv I make it work and it’s no biggie. We do a lot of camping and just ordered a overland trailer so I’m going to have to get some different wheels for anything remotely technical off road but that’s really my only complaint. It’s been nice to sit in the ventilated seats after camping for several days. We did X plan as well. Just call the dealer before hand. After seeing the expy in person now we know we made the right choice.
