So i just saw a prototype of the new f150 today, nothing revolutionary on the exterior but the interior is a huge improvement from today. Huge landscape touchscreen with Sync 4 and all digital instrument cluster, exquisite materials, lots of leather and high quality materials. If you have any questions feel free to ask4 points

The folks on the chat site were very helpful. You will need the VIN for the information.1 point

Good article. Toyota has their own push to maintain the lead they have now on hybrids. In the U.S. market, they just added a Corolla hybrid and Lexus UX hybrid, plus new versions of Camry hybrid, Avalon hybrid, RAV4 hybrid, Lexus ES hybrid, and Highlander hybrid. The competition between Toyota and Ford with hybrid vehicles, plus the competition in BEV technology between all of the incumbent automakers and companies like Tesla and Rivian, means that the next few years will be great for consumers looking for a high performance yet efficient car or truck.1 point

I have no idea what you are talking about... MFT worked just fine after APIM replacements and 7+ updates over 7 years time.1 point

It could be Sync 4 though. A flagship like F-150 is the perfect thing to debut that on.1 point

This article states both the F150 and Mustang hybrids will appear next year (2020): https://www.autonews.com/marketing/ford-pushes-overtake-toyota-hybrid-sales1 point

Also that a lot of those buyers have moved on to fully electric, Model 3, Bolt, and Leaf. Prius is among the top 3 vehicles traded in for those models.1 point

I can't decide if the failing Prius sales figures are because sedans as a whole aren't selling? Or because gas prices have stabilized? Or because Toyota out-weirded even its own quirky customer base with the "it hurts my eyes to look at it" styling?1 point

Back in the early 90s. I worked just down the hall from the guys doing the the development on the 7.3L PowerStroke diesel. One of theit test vehicles was an F350 dually with a manual transmission. One of their unofficial tests was to loaf the truck up to max GVW, place the transmission in 1st gear, rev to about 2000 RPM and side steep the clutch. Either the tires broke loose or something broke. Walking by one guys desk one day, I noticed a big chunk of steel on his desk. It was a piece of the driveshaft with a 90+° twist in it ! They had already blown multiple u-joints, clutches and even a few transmission input shafts !1 point

This marks the end of our tracking. It won't have anymore updates in the system because it is going somewhere else now. Good luck. Delivered - Final Delivered (United Road Service ) E9Z115 - Faps-foreign Auto Prep Service Newark, NJ May-02-2019, 14:47 ET.1 point

it doesn't really resemble it. The headlights and grill are very different from the current and that range rendering. It has a 3 different headlight designs, the LEDs are awesome. The daytime running light led looks like an upside 'L' sort of like the super duty but way better. The grill bar-wrapping into the a U shaped headlight design is mostly gone. The front bumper looks amazing and yes it has new features that will def set it apart. It will have a Hybrid and on board generator...lots of amazing tech and new features.1 point

I received a follow up call from the Corporate Customer Service Representative today who informed me they are working to locate a replacement fuel injector and get it shipped to the dealership as soon as possible. I told them I was not ok with owning a new Ranger for three weeks and having in the repair shop for most of that time. The representative assured me I will be compensated for my situation. I again gave praise to the dealership for working hard to fix my truck. I feel somewhat better today, but I still don’t have any idea when I’m getting my Ranger back.1 point

So let's look at those other vehicle and their sales last month and YTD trends that Car and Driver are quoting to question Ranger's sales performance... MODEL......APR '19......APR '18...Change.....4MO '19........4 MO '18........4MO CHANGE Ranger............5,748................0.......0.0%..........15,169..................0................0.0% Colorado......11,655........12,345......-5.6%.........45,149..........41,204..............9.6% Canyon...........2,420..........2,960....-18.2%..........9,374...........10,173..............-7.9% Ridgeline........2,654..........2,459.......7.9%..........9,606.............9,464................1.5% Frontier..........4,258..........5,082....-16.2%........24,479............27,907.............-12.3% Tacoma......20,375........18,811.......8.3%.........78,558.............72,590................8.2% Compared to April last year, Colorado off 5.6%, Canyon off 18.2%, Frontier off 16.2%, only Ridgeline and Tacoma growing sales by 7.9% and 8.3% respectivly...all showing that YTD numbers without context is useless. Also, the build up of Ranger's sales is slow exactly because people are coming to terms with Ford's pricing, at the start of April, dealers nation wide had over 10,000 units but i suspect that stocks were clumped into certain regions with differing trim mixes.. Ranger...........US sales.......Canada Sales January...........2,153............201 February..........2,899............173 March.............4,369 ............381 April................5,748.............522 Total............15,169...........1,277 To most people, that would seem more like a slow but steady rise in sales numbers for a truck that let's face it was called up from global duties to fill a roster in North America. Not a perfect fit for the market but certainly does most things well. Also, Jeep is crowing because its dealers are reportedly holding over 25,000 orders for Gladiator. Now for Ranger to continue growing sales against that background and others like GM and Toyota offering good incentives, I think Ford is doing OK shouldering Ranger in past the competition....it is a 2.3 I-4 Ecoboost competing against mostly 3.5-3.6 V6 competition who have an easier sell with the V6.1 point

If people aren't bitching, they aren't happy-I see this everywhere now-esp with people thinking they are empowered on the internet for some reason-all it does it expose people to make them look like idiots.1 point

Also losing 15% of your full sized truck market share doesn't help either1 point
