  1. I just picked up my new Ranger yesterday. I LOVE it! It is my favorite vehicle I’ve ever purchased and I’ve only had it a day. Anyhow it is a 302A XLT without the tech package, but I have factory nav! I’m not sure how this mis-build happened, but I have a theory. When I was looking to order a Ranger in January to replace my leased F150 I sat down with a salesman and we spec’ed out a Ranger. He called me the next day and said they already had a dealer order in for an XLT 302A in magnetic with the FX4 package. They could still modify the order so he changed the ebony interior to medium stone, added a block heater, added the rubber floor tray liners and deleted the tech package with adaptive cruise and factory navigation. Anyhow when the window sticker showed up there was no tech package on it, but it still had nav listed as part of the Sync 3 system. I thought it must just be a misprint. You can’t get nav without the tech package. Somehow the nav remained on the build even though the package and adaptive cruise was deleted. It’s a rare one with standard cruise and factory nav. The unicorn of 2019! ? Anyhow I was very vocal about Ford not originally bringing the T6 Ranger to the US so I put my money where my mouth is. Love the truck! Thanks to everyone who took part in building it! BTW I have attached the picture where you can see the standard cruise controls and the factory nav pulled up. Go try to build one like that... bet you can’t!?

  4. The last episode of this season of The Grand Tour dropped this week, and it was almost entirely about the Ford Cortina and Sierra RS Cosworth in the wake of rumors that Ford would be discontinuing the Mondeo. Lots of fawning over Ford's midsized UK saloons, as well as the Hamster swinging implements of destruction at non-Fords. If you have Amazon Prime, check it out.

  6. Beautiful interior! Lexus LM is a re-badged and re-styled version of the Toyota Alphard and Vellfire sold in Japan and Southeast Asia.

  8. From what I gather the Mach E Utility is pretty much like a Tesla with flat battery pack on the floor and electric drive front and back and every bit as impressive as a Tesla but won't be shared with Lincoln. The new EVs being built from about 2023 at Flat Rock are on an all new platform, that will be Lincoln's first EV.

  9. Could you imagine an LCF with the 7.3L Windsor gas in place of the 4.5L PS.....

  10. Relatively minor stuff so far, the rumored big cooperative projects, have yet to happen. Developing EV's and AV's requires a great deal of $$$$. VW going in on Argo will be big, if it happens. Here are Bill Ford's thoughts: "We fit together geographically really well, product line-wise, we fit together well," Bill Ford, the great-grandson of founder Henry Ford, said Tuesday at the CERAWeek energy conference in Houston. "We both came to the same realization that as big as our balance sheets are, no company can do this alone." "We're really in the early days of exploring what the possibilities could be," Ford said. "We have some clear ideas of where we want to go with it and they do, too." https://www.autonews.com/automakers-suppliers/bill-ford-we-fit-together-vw?utm_source=daily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=20190313&utm_content=article7-headline

  11. Just call it the Model E. It represents Ford’s first legitimate long rang electric vehicle, which will usher in the next generation of Ford vehicles.

  12. Wow, Ford sold 30K F-series in Q1 2019! I didn't realize there were that many people in Canada.

  13. I have sync 3 on two vehicles and it is flawless on both. The older one, my 2017 Lincoln, updated itself over WiFi. The one on my Mustang must have already had the latest update.....or it also updated itself without me realizing it. The speed, the voice recognition and the user friendliness has been first rate for me.

  15. Volkswagen carried out a software update costing 23 million euros in 2014 in an attempt to cover up the true reason for the elevated pollution emissions during regular driving Volkswagen has paid more than 27 billion euros (currently $31 billion) in fines and civil settlements with authorities and car owners in the months and years since being caught. Volkswagen says it plans to spend 30 billion euros to develop electric vehicles by 2023. Reading these massive amounts of money pouring out of VW, I find it amazing they can still operate with any confidence. But compared to the announced amounts Ford is spending on future stuff, makes Ford look like a small player. So the VW friendship could be very lop-sided. Also Ford N.A and FoE have always had big difficulties working together with the cultural differences and opinions, how the hell are they going to get anything done with one of the biggest, hard headed, arrogant companies on the face of the earth?

  19. I must admit, to put a vehicle in AV mode would be nice on our frequent trips to Sault Ste. Marie. I-75, especially in the U.P. sees very little use. I'd feel safe having the car drive me. Of course I would take over the controls when crossing the Mackinac Bridge...........
