  1. I love our Flex. It’s such a better car than my Edge. I was thinking the other day how much I’d love to get another one to replace it, but I’ve never been much of a fan of the current grille, and I’d have a hard time buying a vehicle that’s been mostly unchanged for a decade. Personally I think there should be a three row Edge to replace the D4 Explorer as the CD6 Explorer seems more in the Flex space.

  2. Dude. Fixing the AC wont do dick if you can't control the air doors correctly. A/C working or not, you can't defog without proper airflow. You say you want to fix it cheap, but are still putting money into the A/C. Not using an AC machine, I would slowly add through the low side with one of those aftermarket fillers so as to NOT flood the compressor with liquid. Ambient temp, underhood temp and moisture in the air play a role in calculating pressures. WARM ENGINE, FAN ON HIGH, RECIRC DOOR OPEN at 60 degrees F, I would probably expect your high side pressure to be stable in the 150 psi range, with the low in the very low 30s. I might expect some cycling, but not much. Altering temps will alter those readings.

  3. If I had to guess, they put a horn somewhere that can't be disabled from the outside. If a thief can cut the wires from the outside before breaking in, not much use for an alarm.

  5. Not a hint of a problem over the weekend. Well, one. Driving up 95 in Pawtucket RI through the S-curves with the car in Sport+, my wife informed me that she didn't care if I wanted either the exhaust or the stereo booming, but not both at once and that I needed to turn one of them down.

  6. Reading this makes me happy on a Monday morning. I was concerned that Ford was going to jettison its European operations.

  7. First impressions: Like the way it drives, feels big, comfortable, quiet, rides better that my wife's FLEX....... don't like 10 speed, too many gears. It USUALLY skips 2nd and goes directly to 3rd. Selecting drive or reverse, it S-L-I-D-E-S into gear. Takes longer than I think it should. Although I haven't whacked the throttle yet, it feels very strong. Does anyone know how many Rangers were sold in March? For anyone here that contributed to the building of my Ranger, THANK YOU very much. Know that your hard work made me very happy.

  8. First I had heard of the Escape being made in Argentina, but since they are ending Focus production there, it makes sense. I don't even think it would be a question if its made in Argentina that it would be sold in Brazil as well.

  9. What's obviously the most important take from this is that the Flex is still humming along, and deserves a worthy successor.

  10. The new Escape will be made in General Pacheco (Argentina), which opens the possibility of exporting to Brazil

  11. The four door Wrangler and Charger were also sacrilege. Seems to have really hurt their sales.

  12. This thing looks like a Mustang. Is a Mustang for a time without sedans and cars. This thing will carry the “eléctric” pony badge at the front of the body. And this thing will be called Mustang Mach E. And this is good for Ford because this thing will be selling like hotcakes.

  15. GM only changed as much as they were forced to change and they rode the gravy train of (IMO) improper tax breaks for years. How can you say on one hand that this is a brand new company that doesn't assume the old company's liabilities but at the same time retain the old company's losses to offset future taxes? Ridiculous. They squandered that opportunity to really make big changes instead chasing BMW with Cadillac and continuing to build too may similar vehicles and one off projects like Bolt instead of focusing on a core strategy company wide. This is the same old GM.
