  1. Exactly, TSB’s are not released to resolve safety related issues and subsequently do not help reduce the number of safety related recalls which is what you are implying (or attempted to imply in your previous message). No denying Ford is trying to improve quality, but like I said, time will tell on how effective this is long term.
  2. TSB’s aren’t issued for safety related defects (that’s what recalls are for). There is no data that indicates the NHTSA requires “hundreds of complaints (or multiple accidents/injuries)” before investigating and issuing a recall. You can have an opinion about what you “think” Ford is doing to improve quality (or believe what the CEO spews to the media), but the evidence says otherwise. BTW, I own several recent model year Ford/Lincoln products with active recalls and couldn’t care less because I have not been impacted by the defects. These are not “old problems”…Bronco seat bolt is the latest example of many. Reduction in new problems? Possibly, but time will tell.
  3. Really? How does Ford have authority to determine that a safety related defect should not prompt a recall? Interesting concept. Sure, there are voluntary recalls, but those would eventually become mandated by the NHTSA anyway.
  4. I’m not going to argue with you, see my post where I quoted and linked the article. For additional clarification…Yes, Field’s hand is pointing towards (hanging over) the tailgate and the gentleman to Farley’s right has his right hand resting on the bedside rail. Doesn’t matter anyway as it’s all speculation.
  5. Well if you read the quote and my comment, it’s actually not contradictory. Farley’s hand is resting on the bedside rail towards the back of the bed. Seems more likely given the perspective of the photo and how the article describes what is in the photo.
  6. I tend to agree with this perspective rather than what has been posted in this thread: ”Farley seems to be resting his hand on the back of the bed, and his hand seems to be resting over a bedside rail. It would be perfectly rational for the pickup to feature sliding rails with locking brackets” (Field’s hands are extending towards the tailgate, not the bedside) https://fordauthority.com/2026/04/is-this-our-first-glimpse-of-the-midsize-ford-ev-pickups-bed/
  7. There is a reason why the “3 row EV” design was published. CE1 truck design is finalized and Ford wants the public to get acclimated to this styling direction. I don’t hate it, but I’d rather see something more radical and similar to the CE1 truck sketches.
  8. Don’t worry, Ford will resolve this matter going forward by removing the moonroof from the options list.
  9. Remember that Farley has been CEO since 2020. Not every OEM made the same decisions regarding the EV’s. The Lightning was somewhat successful and market/government pressure can be unpredictable for sure. But this isn’t a “Monday morning quarterback” situation when the same CEO continues to make public statements about regretful decisions.
  10. “I Would’ve Done The F-150 Lightning Differently” …then why didn’t he? After all, he is the CEO of Ford Motor Company. Admitting mistakes is one thing, but repeating mistakes time and time again is another.
  11. Well to be fair, Jim has “no idea” about a lot of things. Par for the course with this latest quote.
  12. Well that’s literally not what I quoted. With all due respect, I didn’t say anything was wrong or right. Regardless, you should probably close this thread as it’s way off topic.
  13. Now this is how you become successful in life, tell folks what to say and how to think. Thankfully the BOF moderators aren’t making decisions for auto manufacturers. Anyway, I’m relieved that Ford is apparently listening to customers and bringing back sedans (in different forms under different names) that were so “unprofitable” for decades. Let’s get back on topic for real this time.
  14. Cool place for sure (especially if you are a Ford enthusiast). I’ve been to the Noblesville location several times, it’s excellent.
