Employees at Saline are supposed to get sized today for jackets, but most of the plant isn't even aware of it. Is this company-wide? Are these jackets from the Local, IUAW or Ford?

Pattern bargaining is what the IUAW would love for you to believe. In the real world, GM has had a better contract than Ford for decades. For example: In '82 and the "emergency" contract in '84, when the IUAW "bargained" half our contract away, Ford started our mandatory two week vacation during shutdown. It wasn't until '99 that GM started mandatory ONE week vacation during shutdown - the week of July 4 is 40 hours Holiday Pay. They still get a four day weekend for Memorial Day. When an employee is laid off, if seniority allows they can bump to another plant. There are other differences, too - that doesn't sound like Pattern Bargaining. And guess who's been negotiating our contract since the early '80's? You guessed it - Boo King. Is that really who we need for our leader???

I had the same problem w/ BCN - Don't know about other areas, but more and more Flint-area doctors are not accepting NEW patients with BCN - if you're ALREADY a patient and switch to BCN you're good, but to find a new doctor that accepts it is virtually impossible anymore. That wasn't the case 7-8 years ago, but it's becoming a real problem.

Funny, that was my EXACT thought, especially after reading another post from him/her about tallying the votes: "Thanks, now how does the total decision work? Total votes country wide?" This person supposedly retired from Ford w/ 26 years, but doesn't know how the votes are tallied?? You work for a company for 26 (TWENTY-SIX!) years and only NOW, after retiring, you are interested in how things are done? I supposed it is possible, but still...

Didn't Browning promise all of you at AAI that he'd get your 10 years of Mazda seniority credited to Ford's?? Oh yeah, that didn't happen either, did it?? DON'T TRUST BROWNING

Heard on very good authority (and from more than one person) that there was a posting up for a short time yesterday at Flat Rock for Wixom. Anyone know what the posting was for, and why it was taken down so quickly? Thanks.
