  1. J L Audio makes a really cool 13" flat subwoofer.
  2. I spent some time tweaking the Sony Premium Audio system in the 2010 Ford Fusion
  3. Thanks for the encouragement Gary! I am looking forward to increased mileage due to break-in.
  4. My daughter has a Gen II Prius (2007). She's home from school so I took the Prius out on my test loop. This loop is 14 miles long and I've taken the FFH around it a few times, getting 54-55 mpg. continue reading
  5. See my story behind getting a flip key for the FFH.
  6. Thanks Gary, I wasn't questioning P&G, just commenting on a common mathematical intuition that is wrong. I actually saw this misconception at work here tonight and commented on it: http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii-2010-p...html#post898857 I would love to get a lesson from someone. I'm in the Philadelphia area.
  7. Here's an article on the myth of pulse and glide. You may not be getting as great an MPG boost from P&G as you thought.
  8. Some other things that haven't been mentioned: You can display digital images from your camera Sirius weather radar is cool Album cover image displayed in Jukebox (maybe someday for USB music too) Easier to configure Sync system due to full screen interface Touch screen interface for making selections
  9. Nice! How do you like it? Mine took 10 weeks total. Ordered March 31, picked it up on June 8.
  10. Funny that the Milan sells ~10 times less than the FFH. Its a really nice car. If it came in Sterling Gray, I might have preferred it.
  11. I've been trying to eek out some great gas mileage from the FFH and having some success (currently at about 45mpg), but it requires a lot of concentration and sometimes painfully slow driving. I began thinking about what I was really saving per year - the answer might surprise you.
  12. The key is keeping your state of charge (SOC) high enough. Once the battery gets to about 35-40% charged the engine will come on. I've also noticed that I can apply more power from the electric engine when the SOC is high vs when it is low. That's why it doesn't always pay to eek out the last bit of EV mode - on a hill for instance you might be better off letting the engine start so as to reduce the load on the battery and possibly charge it - then you will have more reserves for later gliding.
  13. I have a document from Ford that says the vehicle must be ordered by Mar 31, not put in service. Where did you see that?
  14. Sorry, I broke the link this morning - its fixed now: http://ffh.squarespace.com/blog/2009/6/27/...ion-hybrid.html
  15. I ordered my FFH on March 31. Everything I've read says that is sufficient to qualify for the $3400 credit in whatever tax year you take delivery. Additionally, the credit is not subject to AMT thanks to the stimulus bill passed in February.
